Right? Though I was pleasantly suprised to gain more insight into the band itself.

The most profound statements he made was “I think you learn a lot about people by the way they tackle problems”. He’s wise beyond (or because of?) his years. True about all aspects of life.

As I aged and retired I formed a bucket list. Three years ago I crossed off one item. That being taking a drive to Colorado to see a concert featuring Big Head Todd And The Monsters. On our way back to Wisconsin we stopped at a little restaurant where we told the young lady who owned the place where we had been. She told us she once lived down below Todd Park Mohr in a house in Boulder CO and cared for his dog when he went on tour. Just a great memorable ending to a memorable trip.

I must live under a rock as I’ve just discovered BHT. I guess RUclips decided I needed to expand my horizons and dropped their cover of Brandy in my list. I think I’ve watched it 50 times. Next Bittersweet popped up. Only done that about ten times so far…in the last two days. Now this interview which is so interesting to see inside a little bit. Looking forward to more.

The first time Jeremy played at Red Rocks with BHTM i had a corral pass - basically backstage. I walked up to Jeremy and mentioned i heard he used to be in a Cars cover band The Jars. He immediately said - oh let me run to my car and get you a Jars cd. And he did. Right before he went on stage. Ill never forget that. Such a nice humble guy. They all are by the way. Met them all many times. And the music!!! Wow!!

So great to hear directly from Jeremy's musical mind! I remember a day back in the '90s when Jeremy purchased a Harry Connick Jr. CD, listened to it in his Toyota on the way home, and then proceeded to play the piano parts perfectly upon arriving back at our shared room on campus.

the cover of 'brandy' is one of the best things to come along in some time...just nailed it...tighter than the original!
like a huge bonus to otherwise constant quality music.

Back in '93 or 94' I got the opportunity to go see an upcoming band called The Dave Mathews Band (which everyone knows). But, at the time they had this other not so well known band called Big Head Todd and the Monsters open up for them. It was in this country bar (called Incahoots) in OKC. The ticket was like $12.50. Who would have known all these years later that both bands would become so popular and have followings...and I was standing like 20-ft away from it all.

Great insight from a talented guy. I've loved BHT for many years and been to a few shows. They never disappoint. They are the antidote for much of the shitty music out these days. The band is more like the acts we saw in the 60's and 70's. Glad there seems to be no end in sight. Looking forward to seeing COVID simmer down so we can get back to intimate shows.

After I saw BHT in Denver, I was hooked. My brother called & said they were playing at Red Rocks. I live in Iowa, I loaded up the car & off I went. Then they played in Des Moines, Iowa, on the river. I took all 3 of my sons & their girlfriends. After that, my sons understood why the stereo was blasting playing the album Sister Sweetly. I’m sure they will play it at my funeral. 😂💗💗💗💗

really nice piece for us long time fans that wonder what these musicians are really like....
i always thought jeremy looked 'disinterested' on stage...hahaha...like he was saying, 'shit this song again...again!'
but now i see that he is a consummate musician, a technician, and a patient man from a humble background that colors his personality...
obvious why this band continues to LEAD modern music by example.
thanks for this insight. and the continued great music.
