Very cool to have that relationship (both personal, and baseball) with your Dad Trevor! Long live all Dad's.

My son is 10yrs old and wants to be a pitcher. He gets lessons from Andrew Potter (AAA). Isaac loved watching you pitch. I appreciate you making these videos. I have no clue what I am doing so this advice helps.

I love these short videos you making!! Could you drop one talking about the educational podcast you listen to when you workout?

This is good advice - build up your capacity to train (work capacity) more because more volume correlates to better outcomes with the caveat that you shouldn’t be in pain doing so. If one experiences pain, work on finding an entry point back in where the pain is less (maybe not non zero but less and manageable as well as decreasing).
This isn’t just pitching - general training like strength training is the same thing. Resting and recovering more isn’t how you build strength, you build strength by slowly building up your work capacity so you can increase the demand on your body at a level it needs to get stronger and adapt to being able to tolerate positively this increased stress. Displaying a max effort is different but building work capacity is the key in general.

Yeah I tore my rotator cuff when I was 15 pitching 3 games a week. Never pitched again with any kind of velocity.

Hey Trevor, I need advice. I throw sideways, not submarine but not straight. The more I throw sideways (which feels normal) it feels painful in my elbow. In other words how can I throw straight so it could feel normal?
