@5:45 should have mentioned other good chest talents. For max DPS, nothing beats Glass Cannon for its 25% amplified damage, but the downside is it also amplifies incoming damage so you have to be very confident in your abilities when choosing this talent. The other chest talent I use in a lot of my DPS builds is Obliterate. It lacks the raw DPS punch of Glass Cannon, but it offers very good damage without the increase in incoming damage.
I think it’s worth noting that Optmist beating Strained on high RPM weapons is a common misconception. Even on a high end red build with a Vector strained will win, not by a lot, but it does go to show RPM is not as big of a factor as you’d think. I think the bigger choice is that you lose the damage from strained after about a second of not firing, optimist is constant, so that could be a factor. For a weapon like the M4, my choice would be Fast Hands since the reload kills its dps, of course there’s no burst increase. Optimist will win on low weapon damage builds though. At the end of the day it just comes down to understanding the pros and cons of each talent and then preference. Great video and it’s always interesting seeing how limited builds were before WONY. A lot more cemented pieces to run.
I get it , but I was hoping for more information about DZ play and builds at level 30. With the introduction of descent and the blueprint rewards there are many more possibilities. Perhaps you'll make a future video about that. Gg
I only recently found out about the level 30 DC boost. When I restart the game it always says boost character to level 30 but start in New York but if you play through the first party and make your way to the White House and then boost, you stay in DC.
Exactly. I do that for all of the characters I run through WONY for recalibration points. I do it for two primary reasons. I can do the SHD requisition project to get an exotic before I head to New York and I can use the shared resources/shared blueprints so I have access to my full spread of blueprints while doing the run. It's not necessary, but more quality of life as I do the run no nearly a weekly basis.
@@AgentMeat you have your blueprints but still need to craft them. Only craft if you keep the character it's a lot of materials. I have 2nd exotics for other characters so I do not need mods for the guns. you can craft the expertise materials stuff.
@@dw4897 agreed. I’m watch level 4350ish so I have the materials. I craft the CQBSS scope, the extended mags for 5.56 and 7.62 and the crit chance muzzles for the same.
This morning I noticed that the clan vendor has a chd mod that is 7.something buy 2 or 3 to put on your gear. Level 40 skill mods work for level 30 skills, not defence offense mods do not tho.
Working through all of DC story missions and basically completing all DC and then going to New York, I found New York is nearly complete able with DC gear. I got to level 37 with my gear score 500 items, just had to change a couple of gear score items for level 37 and NEW YORK was done.
Oh when boosting do not pick up anything, save that XP for your shd level when and if you run this character for your weekly projects, more so after you do wony. Edit before the revamp I was getting 2 shd level completing the daily project on heroic with 3 directives, then did that with the other 3 characters. That is 8 shd levels in about an hour or so.
Back when this video was recorded, you had to run through the WONY expansion in order to progress past Level 30. You could also have a “high end” crafting bench so it was then possible to reconfigure a level 40 exotic to level 30. I don’t think this is possible any longer with the removal of world tiers and the introduction of leveling to 40 in Washington. You can’t upgrade your bench to high end until you are at level 40.
I'd love to be able to start in New York at literally level 1, just like the beginning of DC. Don't want the level 30 boost but start in New York like DC.
I would do a mix of open world activities (Territory Controls, Public Executions, Propaganda Broadcasts, and Resource Convoys) If a Control Point is Red, the activities around that control point will continue to respawn so you can keep farming XP from the activities. The area around the Washington Monument CP has multiple activities that are close together.
Yes, for exotics. It’s done with the exotic recalibration blueprint and will cost you the weapon plus an exotic component. I did that with a spare St Elmo’s for my level 30 characters. Regular gear has to be farmed; it cannot be recalibrated.
I don't have a dedicated level 30 anymore. I have my main at level 40, the level 40 character I use with no watch levels applied for build videos, a Raid character and the last slot is used for WONY mules. I upgraded my Level 30 character to level 40 for Raiding as I did not have enough loadout space on my main to do everything I wanted to do .
@@AgentMeatI have my one main and switch the other three as I need shd points. At any given time I have 3 character with 245ish points cuz I really deleted my first main character. I am shd 3255 last night. Last wony run was 2400 2500ish levels ago.
I don’t currently. Let me see what I can put together. I’m on the road for work so I expect I should be able to get something together for Friday or Saturday.
My skills are all at expertise 10. . .my preference would be to run gunner but the chest dropped with spotter and I didn't want to spend too long farming for a better chest.
Sweet, I need a better level 30. I have a god rolled ridgeway pride and expertise it to 18. Two weekends ago I ran around with a non gaming buddy and ended up playing 12 hours, and got him a solid 30 build. Last weekend we got the watch.
Very cool! I forgot to give a shoutout to Cypher for shepherding me through a couple of Heroic missions looking for gloves and a backpack. Running in a group is so much fun compared to solo.
