Good review. One of the best all-rounders I've owned. VZ wagon was awesome too. Holden hit their peak with these. Downhill after that. Good luck with the channel guys.
I have the exact same car even the colour. There is two tow bar options for towing, 1600kg and 2100kg and I have the later. My brakes are great but they don’t grab hard instantly like some cars but are more progressive but they can seriously pull the car up quickly. A pillar vision is pretty poor I agree. I put mine on dual fuel as well with an injected Prins gas system and is cheap to run.
I got me a 12' black vz series ii wagon the other day. The back is a TARDIS, 6 speed auto is pretty smooth, mine stops awesome, it likes a drink. One weird thing, being a shorter guy is the A pillar? It seems a lot far further forward than the VZ I had or maybe I'm sitting back further and lower? No issues with blind spots at all compared to the vz where I was constantly looking forward and around it. Great review dudes 😎
Police won't do you for a custom tune on your car, but they can do you for the LED light upgrades, as cars that had LED's fitted from factory are ADR approved.
I guess we weren’t sure if it getting a tune done while on a probationary licence would cause issues with the police. I’ll have to knock wood but we’ve been pretty lucky to not have issues with the police with our LED lights luckily 😃
I prefer the ve SV6 over the V8, had a ve ss manual ute with Higgins heads and forged pistons and the rest but always found I liked driving my son's ve SV6 more, the steering feel in the SV6 is awesome with the lighter engine up front, his seems to sit around 11.6 litres per 100ks at an ave speed of about 39kms per hour. Considering getting one for myself.
Thats cool to hear 😁 Neither of us have had the opportunity to drive an SS yet unfortunately, but I will say I do agree on the steering feeling good. The VF feels too soft and floaty for me while the VE SV6 feels really stiff and responsive. Petrol wise I think mine is getting about 13.5 litres average at about 30km/h but that’s definitely because I have a heavy foot 😁
@@FatBrakes you're right about the VF , yes the interior is much better but the steering in the VF can be jiggled a few inches either way without anything happening, they were right in the wheels mag at launch when they said the VE steering is as good or better than any BMW which is was considered the benchmark when the VE released.
This was the MY9.0 which was 195kw. The MY9.5 onwards was the SIDI motor which had the 210kw and 350nm. You’ll likely have the MY9.5 😁if you got an 2009 model.
Edit: 4:47 Meant to say low beams and not high beams twice 😅

Thank You James! Yeah we definitely agree, sad to see them go out how they did, gotta enjoy them while we can! 😄

I didn’t know about the towing capacity differences, that’s cool to know! I definitely think I need to get my brakes serviced though 😂

Thanks for the nice comment! The wagon is definitely a Tardis for space, I’m spewing that I can’t get a brand new one though 😁

actually 210kw of power
The Vf has 210 and the Ve has 195 my man 😄
@@FatBrakes incorrect. If that wagon has the LLT sidi motor in it which it does, it's got 210kw + 350nm of torque. I know because i have the same car.

VE series 2 has the LFX motor (same as VF) which makes 210kW. VE series 1 has LLT which makes 195kW
@@Humannn8ss8 llt makes 210kw
