    Is upgrading to the Gold Cup worth the price difference? How much better are they really? The gold cups run half a size smaller and keep in mind that they can be found on sale from time to time. Both are made overseas

    The Gold Cup is softer and feel more comfortable, but it just can't keep the form sturdy (wide feet). About the sizing, the material on the GC stretch overtime, I'm wide feet, 12Us on running shoes, 11.5us on converse, Im currently having 12us Gold Cup but it loosen up, would def down a half size.

      Can’t you just tighten the laces when it loosens?

    Rad Sperrys. Been wearing them since the 2010s
    My go-to shoes for spring/summer. I usually wear them sockless. I have to go a size up in 10W. Since I have a wide foot, lol.

      They're both really nice; consider the gold cup for nicer outings, and the regular for more daily wear and that you can occasionally beat up 💥

    To make the other shoes more comfortable, you can buy thin insoles. That's what I do.

    • @Striker50_
      @Striker50_  10 месяцев назад

      Interesting. They don't fit too tight or move around? Also how are they with water?

    • @whatevergoesforme5129
      @whatevergoesforme5129 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@Striker50_ Since I am not wearing socks with my Sperry, the thin insoles (full and not the 3/4 ones) are just right. If you wear socks, then it will be a bit tight.
      So far, they never slipped out when I used them. Of course, they should fit well inside your shoes so they won't slip out. Some insoles can be cut to fit your foot/shoe size and there are lines as guide where to cut. Some also have adhesive at the back.
      There are insoles for those with flat feet and they are not that thin (so don't choose those). There are many kinds of thin insoles especially ones that absorb sweat and are washable.
      When it comes to water, the ones made of gel will do fine. However, the washable foam ones can also get wet but then, you do need to wash them afterwards to avoid bacterial growth.

    whats a good way to get rid of the creases

    • @Striker50_
      @Striker50_  Месяц назад

      Regularly moisturizing can help but also factor in that if you place inserts that can be a good option when they're being stored. I've seen people iron the creases out with a wet towel but I don't know how permanent of an option that is

      I know they sell inserts and you could possibly stuff them and iron them with a wet towel over the leather

    I had my Sperry traditional for over like 11 years now... these things are going strong...They do smell bad, and they are very dirty so I don't wear them out in public.. I only wear them when I do like yard work, but I'm telling you. you'll never find shoes that last this long..

    • @Striker50_
      @Striker50_  9 месяцев назад

      Agreed! I think the traditionals are way more of a work horse because of the interior. If you DIDN'T know, Costco is selling the traditional Sahara leather sperrys like in this video for $60! It's on their online site only. They had them for $50 for about 2 weeks with a discount

    Ahhhh, but are the good on deck, you know, of a boat?! How you test them: Put your hand inside the shoe, push the sole against a strong piece of glass and try to slide it on the glass. Good deck shoes won't slide easily and are safer on a boat. Don't trust a cubicle cowboy with your life!
