Corpse explosion plus burst and catalyst would pretty much solve the run but without corpse explosion any multi-enemy fights become a major issue. Time eater, champ, and especially awakened one are also much more of an issue when they're cleansing poison than mark due to catalyst exhausting.
Make that Burst+ with two Catalyst+ cards. You'll multiply the poison by 3^4. Just 10 poison will grow into a number high enough to damage cap the Heart until it dies.
I am very impressed you beat this without going the simple and obvious route, 1-2 rushdown, then either inner peace/fear no evil or such, going for infinite damage each turn, starting turn 1 or two :)
Don't want to be an erm actually, but the hexaghost does scale both by gaining strength and increasing burn damage after inferno, also by adding more and more burn+ in your deck
my honest take from all the time i've put into this game is that accidentally upgrading inner peace at the campfire before hexaghost was a better play than upgrading pressure points. pressure points is usually not a good card, but it does incentivize giving up on wrath, and so especially with deva form, card draw absolutely becomes the best way to do damage because playing pressure points for 8 twice is better than playing pressure points for 11 once. with how prolonged the fights were all gonna be, one pressure points upgrade just doesn't outscale drawing and playing more pressure points (and block cards). the hexaghost does actually scale but thankfully this fight didn't even really cause a problem.
You have some of the strangest takes I have ever seen in the StS community, but I have to respect both the programming and the willpower to see this through to the end. Admittedly, this is my first video, so maybe it's solely a Watcher thing. Still, I usually wouldn't even look at pressure point, but this has definitely made me at least willing to consider it in future. Cheers! Also next time make a mod that pseudorandomizes your deck after every combat. Upgrade states remain the same, as do card types, but outside of that, it's a crapshoot. Mark would do more damage if you split it across the enemies. Killing an enemy is about the same as 'cleansing debuffs', you lose the scaling you've built up
I spent the whole time thinking “how is he gonna beat the heart with a tiny rushdown “play your whole hand every time” deck?”. And. I guess I got some form of answer
You'd need to majorly high roll the beginning of the run with neow's lament but once you established a win condition it would just be going through the motions every fight. Most likely way I see it happening is scrawl, rushdown, inner peace, mental fortress (one coming from a shop) as first few rewards on watcher. Then you just need 3 removes (probably from events) and a consistent way of handling turn 2 of the heart fight (boss swap pyramid would be the simplest). He definitely has enough energy for it but i don't think his deck can support it at that point. Alpha only starts doing things after drawing and playing it three times for 50 damage once a turn. Compare to a pressure point , you are already doing that damage twice over. Besides, he already has 1 deva form and 3 fasting to play so having another set up card just delays the process, which is VERY bad against scaling enemies.
