It's an interesting world these days. I'm an old man, a half breed Mohawk injun that lives alone in the north woods of Maine. I only see other people when I want to. This amazing phone is practically my only contact with the outside world. It blows my old hippie mind that I can watch somebody 50 years younger who has lived a totally different life than me get off on the same shit that I did when I was your age. Rock on, young man, you've got the spirit...

The name came from some black Marines in a bar they were performing in.
One of them was so impressed he yelled "That's RIGHTEOUS brothers!"

The Righteous Brothers were originally an American musical duo of Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield. They began performing together in 1962 in the Los Angeles area as part of a five-member group called the Paramours,[1] but adopted the name "The Righteous Brothers" when they embarked on their recording career as a duo. Their most active recording period was in the 1960s and 70s, and although the duo was inactive for some years, Hatfield and Medley reunited in 1981 and continued to perform until Hatfield's death in 2003. The music they performed is sometimes dubbed "blue-eyed soul".

Yes, Jay had a powerhouse voice, alright. Check out "This Magic Moment", a classic cover of an already classic Drifters song.

I am so happy you found these guys. They are legends who Billy Joel Inducted into The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. This was the Second Song written for them by Barry Mann & Cynthia Weil after You've Lost That Loving Feeling. The Show they are on is called Hullabaloo where each week a Different Person Hosts. It was also the First Song they did after leaving Phil Spector.

1:07. I just can't get used to how deep this man's voice is. I just finished listening to another song with him, and I came here and still got shocked! So soulful and rich and powerful! Amazing.

As a child of the 60's, I truly enjoy watching young men and women meet the music that I listened to. I am glad you enjoy the Righteous Brothers. They were excellent. Unfortunately, Bobby Hatfield died a few years ago, but Bill Medley is still with us.

That's what makes this almost amazing because you would think that they really were brothers and it's been a lot of time you know perfecting their sound but in reality they are two studio singers that were put together by a studio who thought that they could really be something special singing together and as you and I both know that worked out to be quite good for the studio or they are really a fantastic duo.

You made a very insightful remark .....there was a time that only God gifted singers were featured and promoted....too many people in the field that make a lot of noise , or technology is used to make them sound better......true mega talent is rare ....glad you enjoy them as much as my generation did

One of my favorite songs by the Righteous Brothers is Little Latin Lupe Lu. I can't help but dance to the song. I am now in my 40's and I can't quite move the same as when I was younger, but I still shake my thing when that song comes on.
