I've now spent four hours watching these guys reacting to songs. This is the most fun I've had on RUclips in forever.
Yup, its 3am and I'm still scrolling
Same here. Been watching since around 10:00 PM. I can't stop!!
Same here lol...
1130pm to 330am... now im gonna be blurree-eyed all Sunday. But worth it!! It was so entertaining watching someone honestly enjoy and appreciate something you're familiar with.
Me too, and I’ve got so many things to do. Yet, here I am.
My best friend and I were there!!! We’re sitting behind the row of lights! Andy Williams fan club!! Now at 70 years old we’re fans of these twins !😘
That’s amazing!! 😲
Haaaaa! That's awesome!!!😜💕
WOW!!!!
Yes! That's amazing! Wow.
68
I'm 75 yrs and addicted to these young men. I love & respect what they got going. Once I start watching I can't stop. They are so sincere & thoughtful. Their parent's must be proud.🙏They are Fresh👍
I'm 68, me too! Love them.
I'm "hooked"
I hear ya... I’m 72 I can’t stop watching
The best ever ❤️❤️
I KNOW!!!!!! I am so proud of our music from the day and watching the younger generation being blown away with it is awesome! I can’t get enough!!!!!!
72, recently widowed, and these guys jus touch my heart. Thank you!
My Grandma said this was the best Love song ever written.
She was widowed at 50 years old and lived to be 92 she never remarried ❤️
❤
❤️
You're Grandma was right. This man is responsible for many people falling in love since 1964.
grandma was Righteous!
AMEN TO. THAT..!!!
Lol. How did so many of us middle-aged people end up watching these kids. They’re great.
Rebecca Woehler-Moss once I start....I’m watching for a very long time!! They are adorable!
I’m 64 and I have told everyone about these guys! They’re awesome
Love these kids!!
I am 62 and love this young man's reaction
I'm 80 and have been loving all these reaction videos. Bonus is I have better sound equipment now than I did before, so I am hearing them and appreciating them more than ever.
Just love how these kids are real music lovers. Not discriminating between age, gender, race or type of music. Just being honest and open.
Watching them makes me wish I could hear all these songs for the first time again.
The reason you thought that it was a black band is the reason why they called it "BLUE EYED SOUL". ( Suprise! Two clean cut, very white guys BRINGING IT!)
I'm LOVING watching ya'll younger guys discovering and APPRECIATING my generation's music.
Your raw honesty is a joy and ya'll are making me fall in love with this music all over again. THANK YOU!
Much time has passed since I have listened to this song, as well as other wonderful songs that were popular so many years ago.
Now each time I listen, it is as if I’m hearing them for the first time. These songs are timeless, and will always sound fresh to me.
Could not have put that statement any better.
They are great!
No auto tuning. Just flat out singing. One of the best singers of the last 60 years. I’m so glad you appreciated this one. 💜
Hi guys,
I'm a 65 year old white woman who grew up a hippie back in the early "70's" & never out-grew
it . I'm told I have a very retro style & a strong rebellious streak.
You guys are such a breath of fresh air. I absolutely love how you listen to ALL types of music suggested with an open mind regardless of color, race, etc of the musicians. You cracked me up with this one. It was so obvious that you had a hard time believing that a white guy could sing that well. Too funny. I watch all your videos. The first was Phil Collins & you & your brother were freaking out. I was hooked from there on
Thanks so much for making this old woman laugh & bringing me music I had forgotten about. Keep up the good work.
When he sings sea-ee-ee-ee is like the river current moving towards the open arms of the sea...
It was in Ghost. I saw this live on tv in 1965, no autotune, no gimmicks, just his voice and the orchestra. He got a standing ovation for it too.
Thank you! Ghost! Great movie too
“Y’all not hearin him like I’m hearin him!” I love how these guys don’t just listen to the music, they LISTEN to the music. Has given me a whole new appreciation for these songs!
I get into music that way, too, and enjoy seeing someone so much younger than I am enjoying it in a similar way.
I just discovered I really like this song too now!
Same
I couldn't agree with you more! I look forward to listening and watching them before I go to bed. You guys are great - don't ever change :)
ABSOLUTELY aren’t they great. Really open-minded and appreciative of such a wide range of music. Love it.
Call me crazy, but I tear up when I see younger people react to this. I'm 61 and grew up with this great music. They don't make it like this any more. Pure raw talent
Right there with ya..
Yes! I had the same reaction.
I am 'Young' lol, this classic song is in my heart
I thought I was getting soft, Speed your love to me. Kills it, never breaks a sweat RIP Bobby
Im fully on with you there. I’m only 44 but this is the music I listened to I’m my youth
I'm 65 and have heard this song hundreds of times. It still moves me to tears. Bawlin like a baby over here watching you love it.
Lol. This is the 7th react video to this song and I shed a tear each time. 🤷♂️
Lol. I am 52 by the way. Great react!
I'm the same. Can't hear this song without crying.
My favorite slow dancing song- so many lovely memories of this- tears coming down.
Some additional information - This is the first time that they sung in a large venue. They usually sang in small clubs. He was so nervous he said, that he almost was ready to faint right before doing this song. He was also not feeling well either. This was the first time his parents were in the audience. He was only about 25 years old at the time.
It is a TV studio, The Andy Williams show.
Music has no color. If you have soul, you have soul.
True that
TRUTH!
Yes I agree it's not about color it's a person with soul
That's because all good music comes from deep human emotion. Human
@USA#1 !! I think that it is no big deal what he said. I don't think meant much by it. He was just little surprised to hear someone sing in that style. Just an observation that the singer sounded similar to someone of color to him. I was pointing out that people from all races can sing that way. Culturally, many white people may not grow up with certain types of music that they listen to. But all kinds of people have talent for all kinds of things when they are exposed to them. Stereotypes have truth to them. But many times they come off insulting as you act that everyone in a class of people normally behaves a certain way. It is wrong to say “I thought you were white on the phone,” because you are implying that all people of color, talk a certain way. You were that the person that said that he did not sound "ghetto". And you were surprised that he quote unquote sounded white. And by that you meant that the person sounded intelligent, without ebonics and not "ghetto", I assume? So that is a bit of an an insult. But I don't think that you meant it as an insult. You just meant that the person was well spoken.
And who cares how people speak anyway. That is the way people speak where they come from. It is how they grew up. It is part of their culture. We are all the same inside. We all want the same things out of life. But we have simply have different shades of skin, come from different cultures and have some sociological differences. But the color of our skin itself has no bearing on who we are or what we become. Essentially we are really similar, as we are all human.
He had a 5 octave range in his voice and no auto tune.
YES!!!
Definitely brings tears to my eyes hearing this. I never saw this video.
Auto tune is a sin to music. If you can't sing, dont be faking it with some auto tune. Most people who sing nowadays are not true artists.
Actually 4 octave. He gained another note years later. He did a solo album at Muscle Shoals that has some great songs. He knew how to use his voice and the mike wonderfully. Very glad to see the real singers being discovered by the younger generation hungry for real music.
@@audreymai2773 Think you have that backwards. Most artists aren't true singers or musicians.
Glad you liked it. This was an historic LIVE performance. LIVE. No autotune. Just straight up Bobby Hatfield. No one has ever done justice to this song since. Later on, in an interview, his partner, Bill Medley, said that this performance was better than the recorded track on the album.
This does my heart good. The reactions of these young people: open, honest, unbiased lets me know we're gonna make it ... as one people, acknowledging what really matters in life ... not what's superficial, but what's real ... like Bobby's talent (gift). Thank you.
Agreed... music has always been the Universal connection
AGREE!!
I’ve heard this song hundreds of times but hearing it thru you makes it new. 😊 thanks
What a great comment
I know!! I just love these kids!
So true. Nothing like passing on a treasure to a new generation. . .
Yes! Exactly! They sing it like they MEAN it.
I AGREE 100%! I’m about to google some more!!!!
I am 74 and was in the Army and heard this on the juke box, and we didn't have social media back then and everyone who heard them thought they were black too.they were nick named the the blue eyed soul brothers.💚
Did they like it? Meaning you also. Stupid ? when I know the answer. thank you for your service. My son is also Army.
That is pretty cool! Was it an instant hit? It's probably my top five favorite songs ever and I'm 23 !
Great memory thanks for sharing..
albertzappa
I am 73 and loved them. They played at Pendleton when they were first starting out and the black soldiers would yell out “that’s righteous man’” and that is how they got their name. They were considered blue eyed soul. They played up and down the so cal coast until they hit.
I was in Vietnam in 65 with the 1st Air Cav when this song would play on the radios at the base camp/s.
He exemplifies how a person can do excessive runs when they're singing but it be effortless and beautiful instead of forced and annoying.
If this song does not give you chills and a tear in your eyes you have no soul. This was my wife and I song at our wedding.
Just some trivia...they adopted the name "The Righteous Brothers" for the duo because black Marines from the El Toro Marine base started calling them "righteous brothers". And the rest is history.
I had no idea...Thank you!
Cool info about the name thanks!
Love this info ❤️!
actually - Marine Corps Air Station El Toro, to be correct... ;)
Cool info, I love historical trivia
You know a song is great when you have to hit "pause" and walk it off.............. Peace from Canada!
Haha, yes! This is me....
Yup!!! This is the most raw reaction you guys 🌿🌺🌿
Right!
This young dude needs to be on mainstream tv, he’s witty!
✌🏻❤️✊🏴
I agree A Very Special Brother🤗
Us oldies know that these goldies are still the best. There's nothing like this nowadays
I got a kick watching this kid get such a kick watching this video.
Me too. LMAO
@@ellenlewis9860 me also. Can see that he is amazed! So much music in the world. No color no hatred. JUST LOVE!
Same here.
He truly appreciates talent
@@aweirdperson.864 yess, he sincerely expressed appreciation and his awe of Bobby's talents. Good review.
Your reaction to Righteous Brothers' 'unchained melody' is PRICELESS. If you only knew how hard and long I've laughed. You brought me profound joy so I'm watching again. I've watched your channel 3 days now. HOOKED.
Same with me..had tears rolling down my cheeks with this reaction 😂😂😂
Oh ya! I love these young men! So rewarding to experience these songs through their eyes.
Hooked & subbed! Love these reactions!
You are just adorable!
Agreed, and that video is my favorite
I've heard MANY reactions to Bobby singing Unchained Melody but this was the one that was most spot on. Great job.
Bobby Hatfield. Soul music at it's best. Shimmering, sliding, soaring notes that pull listeners in deep. Unforgettable. Brown eyes or blue eyes. Soul music reaches all hearts. RIP Bobby Hatfield.
"You can tell when somebody's born for something." This guy is born to react to good music. He manages to upstage every song he's listening to, but I can't take my eyes off of him. :D
Diana Arneson same!
@dianaarenson I agree!! I see an acclaimed music critic in the making. Definitely one who I'd pay attention to. He's helping me open up my mind and broaden my horizons as much as he's doing himself.
His openness and wonder just give me so much joy.
Diana Arneson Because he shows his soul when he hears this beautiful music 🙏🏼✨🙏🏼 He is Pure 😍🥰😍
What’s this kid’s name? Love these videos but he is totally my favorite!
Keep in mind this was live!
Actually it was lip synched. He has a great voice but unfortunately, NOT live.
glaxo welcome well sir it says on all videos of it Live! So there is that!
@@glaxowelcome1907 ... Actually, you're wrong. Bobby Hatfield is singing LIVE here. Definitely NOT lip synched .
@@geraldfarr8279 Really? What "proof" do you have of that? I actually like the song, his voice and the recording but I can also tell that it is not live. If you read my full reply above, you will see my basis for my statement. I have been the sound engineer on hundreds of performances. I know how things are technically done to record something. Just out of curiosity, how many performances were you ever the sound or recording engineer for? Did you even listen to the link that I provided at the end of my reply where they are actually singing live? Can't you tell the difference? ruclips.net/video/5pPlTSAV89o/видео.html
So, do you have anything to actually back up your statement or is it just an unsupported claim?
@@glaxowelcome1907 ... You've got it backwards, buddy. All of the videos of this performance say it's LIVE. It is YOU who has to provide evidence that it isn't. And your link is absolutely worthless. That's a performance from the '80s. Bobby wasn't the singer in the '80s he was in the 1960s. Not only was he older but he also had some demons (drugs and alcohol) that got the better of him. So it's up to you. Let's see your "proof" that this performance was not Live.
I like when he said this: "You're not hearing this as I am. You can't be." Ha! Understand! I have heard the song hundreds of times but watching/listening to this brought it all back to me. Chills.
Back in the day before auto-tune, when a star did his own singing without props.
The true beauty of music? It has no color, no race, no gender, no silliness of the prejudices we have for each other... maybe we should learn something from this? Maybe someday.
God this is so true. Maybe someday.
Let's make it TODAY -- why not? Can be done, I'm game. . .✌️
Good music is also timeless. It is something that has the power to bind us all.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
@lisawood I'm on board!!
As a 74 year old grandmom, I love how you and your brother appreciate good music! Keep listening.
Back in the '60s, they used to call this "Blue-Eyed Soul." They weren't a group really, it was 2 guys, I don't remember if they were really brothers or not. Listen to their other great song, "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling." "Baby Baby, I'd get down on my knees to you....." Lord, the memories....
Not really brothers. Bobby Hatfield and Bill Medley(yes Bill Medley from that song from Dirty Dancing)
Bobby Hatfield at the end of the song: "I'm going beast mode.. and I cannot be stopped.."
I love how this guy and his brother are completely natural, respectful and kind in his review. So refreshing to hear his unbiased views of ‘back in the day’ (so nicely put) music. It is a great forum for everyone to learn without being bogged down in details. Instead first impression is so educating on its own. Listening to the music with him does sometimes bring me to tears. It is a therapeutic remedy during the pandemic also to know people are helping him learn and then helping us learn. The ‘collective’ is so healing.
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
And remember this was without auto tune and fancy mics. This was a solo version with just the one guy.
Yes Sir. One Of The Greatest. There's Also More By Bobby As A Soloist Artist. Bill Medley Isn't Left Out Of This Either He Too Was A Great Soloist As Well. As A Duo They Were Fantastic. RIP Bobby And Thanks For Your Songs, Your Awesome Voice And All The Memories You Left Us. We Love And Miss You. 🙏💔💔💔💔💔💔💔
Was called Talent
Actually I heard this mike is better most current mikes
It's from the movie Ghost with Demi Moore, Patrick Swayze and Whoopie Goldberg a pure classic 👍
It was written and performed long before Ghost. But yes it was in the movie
@Thomas Gow Thanks, I didn't know that 👍
Originally written for the 1955 prison drama Unchained. Recorded by opera singer/actor Todd Duncan for the movie. Sung by Al Hibbler among others before Bobby Hatfield got to sing it.
@@mayloo2137 wow, interesting!! I did see it was written in '55 but I did not know the rest. And I only saw that the other day as I was going through videos. I saw a video of a really talented young girl singing it, and someone said it was the best they ever heard, but I had to wonder if they'd heard this because it is PHENOMENAL and the best in my opinion
This was broadcast on National television in 1965. No retakes, no auto tune, no mess ups. I heard this song from my Mother and Aunt who were in their teens in 1965. That's talent.
This was my moms favorite song, We played this at her funeral.she passed almost 6 years ago. This song always makes me feel a certain type of way
James Lenny sorry for your loss❤️
Me too James, my Mom died over 20 years ago and I always think of her when I hear this song. It gets easier, but will always reach that place in your heart.
Love your reaction - I'm an old white lady who thought they were a black group, too, for years! Till I bought a cassette of their best-of's and saw a picture (cassettes - that's how old I am!). Love them~
I first heard this song when Elvis Presley sang it. The song has a lovely melody & words.
Hey, I had a car with an eight-track player. That’s how old I am! Lol
@@sneakersheik2418 Me, too! Boy, 8 track tapes sure were a pain to deal with but pure gold when you were somewhere without radio reception.
I didn’t know until today.
Me too! Haha
Some people feel music in their soul. I know this is true because I’m one of them…. And so are you….
Tears streaming because it’s so pure and beautiful!
I just love these guys. "Y'all not hearing em..." I can't stop smiling at how much they make me smile and yes, hearing these songs again with fresh ears of mine. Love you guys.
“I thought this was a black group- hey look what you got !!!”
You’re all not hearing me like I’m hearing them” -
Just beautiful reaction - to a 55 year old song
I remember having the “45 of this “!
Yes they had swag
Great song. Beautiful voice.
Me too. I was 12 years old when that song came out and it still sounds great.
There were many babies made to this song!!!!
This song will never get old. It's one of the best love songs ever created
I love you so much!! You are terrific!
You've got an ear for the true greats young dude 👏👏
I'm hooked. The young man's obvious joy upon hearing all sorts of music is bringing me joy.
Its a band from the 50s
He was the lead singer. Unfortunately je passed away about 6 months ago. But good ear my brother it is truly one of the best of all time.
@@christinacrowley3631 me too!
His reaction was so cool, it makes me happy every time.
I’ve just seen several other reactions and yours are the only genuine reactions without a huge upsell. Thanks for posting
Lots of people thought they were Black--they were referred to as "Blue-eyed soul". Such a beautiful song!
his reaction when he finds out it is a skinny white guy singing- is everything.
Was as beautiful as when he realised Rick Astley was a redheaded, lanky, pasty white boy. lmao
I love you boys and your incredible outreach of finding common ground through music!
I've heard their music before but never seen them, I thought they were black too.
Blue eyed Soul ☺️☺️❤️🎶
A duo, Bobby Hatfield and Bill Medley. Listen to “You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling.” Blue-eyed Soul. Loved your reactions, all of them. This is spectacular. I’m a subscriber as of now.
When we're exposed to great artists, color means zip!
I’m loving these kids. Their reactions are priceless!
This old lady is hooked on these young men. Refreshing....I'll keep watching. This is my generation's music.
Yes, you've heard it before. If you've ever seen the movie: Ghost. With Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore, and Whoopi Goldberg, among others. The Righteous Brothers were called Blue-Eyed Soul.
Yep! And if you remember a wonderful episode of The Wonder Years. Always brings a tear.
Gary Pucket and Union Gap, also called blue eyed soul.
Just saying -- back in the day, they used lots of playback when recording. Not to say they weren't great singers, just that on TV, where these recordings come from, they used playback and that's why you don't see the signs of effort.
That’s it! I was thinking Dirty Dancing.
There's a good chance he's never seen Ghost.
Just found this young man and his brother after seeing the one with Phil Collins. I am loving watching these videos and all their reactions to the music that I love have played for years! Brings a smile to my face. Thank you. Keep it going!
I discovered them the same way. They're absolutely wonderful and they make me feel great.
me too! I mean i'm not old old but 60's 70's 80's good music! I think this idea they started is brilliant keep the old music alive.
oh my god that was my first one too!
That's the one that hooked me too.
True to that. Once i saw the Phil Collins one it got me, hook , line & sinker. Love you boys xo
I saw The Righteous Brothers in concert in 1999, and they sounded just as great as they did on their albums. 🙌🏼 Plus, this song was my first dance with my husband. Awesome song.
I felt every bit of that too. This is one of my favorite songs. I love the way you appreciate music so deeply. People need to feel more. This is great.
That’s a masterpiece. He sang that LIVE too.
It's crazy to think honestly. Compared to any acts today he is light-years ahead
You’re right! Don’t think anyone could come close to him. Performance a Masterpiece.
Actually it was lip synched. He has a great voice but unfortunately, NOT live.
That was fun watching your reaction to this song 😂😘
@@glaxowelcome1907 yes it's live. It differs from the recorded version
This was my parents' song. My father was a sailor in the U.S. Navy who went on many six month deployments while my mother held our home in her loving arms on her own. It will always be special to me. Your reaction is REAL!
I'm a Navy Brat myself. Yes this was played a lot even though she raised us listening to mostly country music.
Remember hearing this for the first time a long time ago, loved and appreciated it back then. Great to see a younger generation enjoying it too. Love from Ireland. Great content 👌🏼
No one could sing this better. One of the greatest love songs of all time!
I’ve never been big on watching reaction vids until this guy here. I’ve watched almost everyone on this channel. I get the biggest kick someone enjoy music this much. Plus i gotta say what great kid wish there were more like him out there.
Blues eyed soul brothers. I'm a 60 yrs old white woman who still swoons every time I hear it, by the way so does my 83 yrs old mother. Bad ass.
You are so right..he was born for that song .He's the song the song is him. His looks, his attire perfectly compliments the song. Absolutely Epic!!!
I've watched your review of this song four times over the past several months. I find myself keep coming back... It's such a beautiful song and you respect for his singing and your joy and your enthusiasm just makes me happy it's like we share one heart in the joy this song brings
I thought I was the only person in 2020 to be saying "goodness gracious." 🤩😁🤣
I say it too :)
Enthusiasm of young people is infectious. These young men appreciate MUSIC! They know it when they hear it, even if it's not their style. Love these videos!
One of my favorite songs. My uncle gave me this album when he went to Viet Nam in the 60's. In the 80's I had it autographed by both of them. I just found "the twins" yesterday and have been binge watching ever since..... I hope they get 1M subscribers soon.♥️
From The movie
Ghost
Righteous brothers was amazing
The singer has incredibly voice
All the tunes he could hit wow 🤩
I'm supposed to be baking my husbands birthday cake right now. I've said just one more for the past 5 songs. Love these boys! Best entertainment on the internet!!

I get chills every time.
Yes, fun to watch his meltdown just like I've done every time I've heard it over the decades..
Bobby Hatfield was the tenor heard here. Bill Medley, baritone, the lower voiced "brother" (not really related). Sadly, Bobby passed away from an ingestion of cocaine, which brought on a heart attack
Thanks!! This was the time I ever saw the Righteous Brothers perform Unchained Melody - one of my all time favorites! Thanks for letting me SEE this song!! Loved your reaction!!!
They were a duo. Give a listen to “You’ve Lost That Lovin Feelin” to hear them both n action, makes my brain melt.
Which was in the movie Top Gun.
6Kat They already did.
Especially in the TOP GUN scene !
You"ve lost that lovin feelin
You'Ve lost yhe lovin feeling
I love these boys but especially this young man. His honesty and appreciation of the music is wonderful and he makes it so fresh again for an old lady like me. Thank you. You're creating alot of joy.
Every time I see him and hear him sing this song I cry. I was 12 when I first heard this song and it stopped me in my tracks. He sings from his heart.
Thank you for your reaction. I used to dance with my husband to this song and you’ve brought back many wonderful memories of our love. 😍
One of the most beautiful songs ever. But Bobby Hatfield, his voice...stunning.
Try janis Joplin, me and Bobby mcgee 🤘👌
The late great Bobby Hatfield of the Righteous Brothers singing here. Was the high octave falsetto voice of the duo. Bill Medley the other part of this great duo was the soulful more baritone voice. Together they were a harmonious perfect team. Brilliant!
This is a timeless classic, most beautiful song and performance ever!
Ahh. Such raw, beautiful talent. No fancy dancing, lights, or any other distractions... this is how music is supposed to be. 💓
righteous brothers music back in the day was called "blue eyed soul"
YES IT WAS!!! THEY WERE A DUO!!!
Mad respect for young brothers recognizing talent and skill that came before him; reminding all to be young at heart
Congrats, you have feeling for art. And you show how having no prejudice against any race or colour or style let's beauty and connectedness in this world show up.
I've been spending hours watching their reactions to the same songs that give me goosebumps. This is the most fun I've ever had on RUclips. Thank you guys. Keep up the good work.

So glad he appreciates the TREASURE that was Bobby Hatfield.
I can't stop watching them cuz they are making me fall in love again with songs I ALREADY adore. And these two just make me HAPPY!
I love how you appreciate a great singer. You're right, Bobby Hatfield here appears to sing with "no effort" and when he hits the high notes, it brings chills.
Love your reaction to the song. The best love song ever, the best live performance ever.
Blue eyed soul!😊 was lucky enough to see them in Vegas twice!!
This was the anthem for women whose boyfriend or husband was in Vietnam. This must have been played a million times.

@@rickhickman7138 Not surprised, it is a gut-wrencher for those of us who lived in those times.

There is one late night show (right after Ghost came out) in 1988 where he outdoes this performance. The audience went absolutely nuts!!!
I love his reaction ! !!
He Knows and appreciates the pristine, superb, flawless voice of The Righteous Brothers
I can watch this over and over , listening to this beautiful song , and watch this young man’s reaction to this majestic Effortless , Awesome Voice !
The Righteous Brithers Can Sing !!

You boys are beautiful. You’ve been raised well. I’m gonna keep you in my heart. You keep making videos. ❤️❤️❤️
You've had the best reaction I've seen all night!!!
Find a singer like that today no Auto tune no special effects just straight talent. That's why old skool tunes still sound so good today. That's real music right there.
Dude...come on. There are a thousand artists that can sing beautifully without auto tune. Just open your ears man. That doesn’t take away the fact that the righteous brothers are legends....but you’re objectively wrong if you think there aren’t people nowadays that’s can’t sing without auto tune.
That's totally true of commercial music...but check out Quarantine Karaoke now! Some really amazing artists there.
The classics sound better only because the good ones are the ones that still get played.
That said, autotune is tired.
I am an old lady but I absolutely LOVE your channel! I waited for you ro hear him in the 2nd half of the song knowing he would take your heart away. Wasn't he a talent? I am so happy that a young soul like yours can understand and truly appreciate the music we were blessed with back in the 1960s. You make smile....
Bobby had severe stage fright which had to have been worse as his mother there during this Andy Williams show performance. Bobby had a *four octave range* . What you seeing her is complete CONTROL in his singing. He didn't have to *strain* his high notes. Their song "You've Lost That Loving Feeling" holds the record as most song plays ever on the radio. If you REALLY want to listen to a true blue eyed soul listen to "I Just Want to Make Love With You". Also he is only 25 years old when performing this song. It is from the Andy Williams Show and yes it was live. It was in the "Ghost" movie soundtrack.
The ladies listen and get blushed.
I've seen this review before, but I just cant stop watching it! Blue Eye'd Soul at it's very best! Bobby Hatfield owned this song for all time that night! Thank you again for reviewing this song. Peace!
"Crying", Roy Orbison
Yes, I feel he has been neglected sadly.
One of my favorite songs ever, his voice was amazing and his range...wow! Roy Orbison is so underrated
The version with K.D. Lang singing with Orbison.
