Fun story: I went to this show (it was amazing) and sat up in the balcony. When Meshuggah came on, the guy next to me yawned, crossed his arms, closed his eyes, and slunk back into his seat. He remained in this state of repose for the entirety of the show. Only afterwards did he open his eyes and look around. He looked like he'd been hit by a freight train and his pupils were the size of saucers.

BUT it sounds like he just dropped the stick in his left hand which is just bound to happen eventually, especially with how hard he hits. All that said, he kept everything together but the snare while he got a new stick and that's professional as fuck, especially when u consider how complex that beat is right there. Haake is the man, just pointing this out cause no one else seemed to notice yet.

Amazing video. It's not about sound quality, it's all about the vibe. This is a great show, the band are really into it, the venue is not too big, and the crowd is not too packed in so they have lots of room to jump around - all adds up to great atmosphere. So many Meshuggah gigs look like motionless sardines staring at them while they play some maths, this one is what it's really about, slamming as hell. The lighting and the handheld camera just adds to it, and whoever filmed it is in just the right spot, close but not too close so you see everyone really going nuts.

MuffMuff36 not likely. People who go to shows like this usually aren't douchebags or like rabid pop star fans

Nah man, Meshuggah shows are quite civilized. I was fortunate enough to catch a stick the first time I went to see them perform. I was just close to catching it because I waved to him and he kind of tossed it over my way. There was a step I didn't see and I got to low to catch it lol.
