I'm using a combination of laser grbl and laserweb. Especially when vector engraving. I load my vector e on lasergrbl, and do the filling with the laserweb gcode using raster merge. Perfect and precise results.
thx for video i have question i just start to 3d internal engraving bussines but it is hard to make 3d its lookin ok but taking a lot time do u know same software convert 2d to 3d lss or mbf format thx again
Great video and I would love to see more of your teaching as got this setup right the first time! My cut is mirrored tho so now looking for solution to this. Keep up good work and thank you for this.
Maybe check if you motors are turning the right way around, so try moving x positive and it should go to the right and y positive should go to the back. If that is wrong, you can reverse the direction in the eeprom settings.
I have a question, is there something in that program that can make a laser pulse for a millisecond and turn off for another millisecond in a continuous loop until you decide to turn it off? Like a flashing light keeps turning on and off every second.
That is how they do the power modulation. Like when you select 50% power, the laser is on at 100% half the time and off the other half. This happens way to quickly though for you to be able to see. If what you want is a dotted line, you can just draw a dotted line and then it will engrave that.
is there any program that allows you to type text then laser it rather than creating an image? - i am looking at creating name tags also any software for creating a tag then cutting it out?
I am getting into laser engraving and wonder about AutoCAD. Using AutoCAD 2D and 3d for many years, I am really fast at drawing and designing. Is AutoCAD 2d worth it for designing at nearly 500 dollars or am I wasting my time? What is the pro and con of this compared to others?
I never used AutoCAD, but if you aren't using it in a professional capacity you can probably get 95% of the way there for a fraction of the price with other software.

LaserGrbl in its most recent versions has the Append file function, where you can join Raster and Vector files to be made in a single job.
Can't wait to test LaserGrbl's Append file feature for combining Raster and Vector files!😊
If money is not an issue what is the best software from start to finish? Like for example photoshop and rhino for design and then lighturn?
how did you get around the "Gcode out of bounds" error on LaserWeb?

Thank you for this informative Video. Can I use this software for a co2 laser for cutting purposes 🤔
Depends on the controller the co2 laser uses. Some might work, others won't.
@@DarkArtGuitars thx 😊 for replaying

also any software for creating a tag then cutting it out?
Lightburn will be perfect for that, you can even use the variable text feature to load the names form a csv file if you have to do many of them
@@DarkArtGuitars is there a free software that does text engrave well?

I used one of this and works great
Thank you
Thank you for your video
Controlling the laser with Lightburn does not cost more. It's $40.
How to get online work related to design
I have pronest software
You could try fiver
Do you have one for mac?
Its not free but LightBurn is available for MacOS. Have you maybe found any other alternatives by now?
thank you so much!
hi marcel love you;-)
Dude… stop saying uhhh… I can’t use this video cause of it.
