    Yup that diamond head washer or what ever it’s called is awesome but when u place it in the hole make sure u center it when you’re tightening it because I noticed it when I was installing it

    I agree, the drilling is not an option for my wife’s 2022 Highlander. Plug and play only.

    Thanks for the review…unfortunately for most of us drilling may be the only option unless we purchase both struts and combine the parts. Nothing is ever perfect!

      True, or I can check with the vendor that sent me the product for review if they are willing to sell just the bracket separately if there is enough demand from members... 🤔

      Im more then happy to pay $40 just to not drill into the hood.

The group -buy discount code expires on June 6th, 2022 so put your order while it lasts! Happy modding!

    Nice! Now I'm wondering if someone can call Tsubasa and ask for replacement brackets, and use those when installing the Redline.🤔🤔

    • @vietbubbletea
      @vietbubbletea  2 года назад +1

      Tsubasa sponsored that video so I have a contact person I could ask about selling the hood brackets separately

    The top bolt comes out first , than you can put in the second bolt in than turn the bracket & than tighten , that's why it has a cut out ! Better to do the opposite side of the hood rod , so when you take out the hood rod & put in the gas strut its not in your way ! Helpful advise !

      @vietbubbletea  8 месяцев назад

      Naw, I tried taking the top bolt off first off camera and it shifted my hood because the hole in the top bracket slides up and down. The bottom hole slides left and right and holds the hood in place a lot better.

    Hello,
    is there any topic about Highlander side mirrors auto folding
    in the future.
    thanks

    • @vietbubbletea
      @vietbubbletea  2 года назад +1

      There is an aftermarket set of auto folding mirrors for around $300. A sponsor sent me a set to review but I haven't had a chance to install it yet. In the US market, the 2023 will now also have OEM auto folding mirrors too.

    Drilling holes is a non-starter for me. I don't like putting holes in metal because of corrosion concerns. Plus I always want the option to reverse any modification I make to my cars. You can't undo a hole.

    • @vietbubbletea
      @vietbubbletea  Год назад

      Yeah, I don't like drilling either for those same reasons. Luckily, I have the brackets and they work well.

    Drilling on my 22 isn't appealing to me...'plug & play guy' here all the way too! Now if we can work to get the bracket from Set #1 to pair with Set #2 I'd 100% be in on the group buy!

    Hey Quick Question, Did you ever find out if the brackets from set 1 can be purchased separately?

    • @vietbubbletea
      @vietbubbletea  Год назад

      I did inquire with Redline tuning and the other vendor and they had no interest of producing or selling the brackets separately which is a bummer.

    Do the redline shocks have less tension than the first set?😊

    • @vietbubbletea
      @vietbubbletea  2 месяца назад

      @@hill115side It's around the same level of tension when closing the hood but the Redlines are definitely more smoother with a two stage motion slowing down once the hood is fully open.

    Hi! Thank you for your videos! What about the hood? Because of these spacers, does it stay higher when it is closed? I am wondering if the gap between the hood and fender.. Thank you for you reply

    • @vietbubbletea
      @vietbubbletea  2 года назад

      Hi Alex, that's not an issue at all as the bracket sits underneath the OEM hood mount. I could see your concern as a problem only if the black bracket was installed in between the hood and the OEM mount itself which most people won't do. My hood gap remains the same before and after this mod. Hope that helps!

    Great videos, good job. Just got my 2023 Highlander Hybrid Bronze Edition, and am annoyed with the stupid hood prop. You show your boo boos and make them right, because l know l would have made the same ones you did. Pretty bad when you follow the directions and they are wrong. Anyway, thanks for the info, big thumbs up. Cheers!!
