Overwatch ban system is broken. All that is needed is to have a few players stacking as a team and they can report you for nothing. Good workaround I found is reporting users that say they are going to report you for silly reason. They will get banned for pushing through false reports and you won't.
I got banned for 30 days for saying "group up" and just never played again due the to automated responses from the appeal ticket system. Garbage company.
it takes 3 reports typically to get an automated ban, you probably played with a 2/3 man and they all got salty and reported you or gaslighted the enemy team to do so

yeah i was thinking the same. with some games there have been times when i wanted to support the team more. what did i do? i bought the extra content already available. i bought the dlc for baldurs gate 3 not because i particularly wanted it, but because i wanted to throw a couple extra bucks at the people who made a game i have 300 hours in. putting in some sort of tip system would decentivize the creation of extra content and most likely only harm developers and creators

The "You should tip the developers!" thing reminds me of that Shadow of War DLC fiasco where the studios' executive producer passed away due to cancer and they wanted to "honor" him with a $5 DLC where $3.50 would go to his family...before PS/Xbox/Steam got their cut, of course. Also, because of certain laws in the US, some states wouldn't have ANY of the money go towards the family. It stirred up so much crap with a game already overflowing with lootboxes and other garbage that WB immediately apologized, pulled the DLC, and donated directly to the family.
I dont the lootboxes are that bad in shadow of war I almost 100% the game and it was amazing. I spent more than 100 hour and didnt have problem with lootboxes

Cause if it was after, I can understand you feeling that way. If it was before...no. Shadow of War is one of my favorite games and I couldn't be bothered to do the Shadow War grind.
@hggpi Oh yeah, if you've been playing it after the update, Shadow of War is a phenomenal game and is incredibly well balanced and fun. Before the overhaul update, though? It was as much of a chore as any other live service game is now. The most obvious example is the Shadow Wars. It used to be a 10 wave section with multiple attack and defend phases that all but guaranteed you'd lose captains because of BS traits the AI would have with next to no rewards. After the update? It's 3 waves and you get the Wraith cloaks from them on top of skill points and resources.

I find it ironic that people think we should be tipping multi million or even multi billion companies when if anything, that should be directed to indie developers if at all should the concept be followed through. Meanwhile Developers for games like Star Sector ask if you meant to buy 2 copies of their game because it wasn't something that had ever happened to them before, companies like Blizzard would instead ask if you'd like to buy a third if they even acknowledged you to begin with.

Overwatch ban system is broken. All that is needed is to have a few players stacking as a team and they can report you for nothing. Good workaround I found is reporting users that say they are going to report you for silly reason. They will get banned for pushing through false reports and you won't.
You get a 5 minute penalty for leaving a quick play game now.

NPCs also say shit and damn and stuff

What’s crazy is that I’ve seen people say slurs in the chat and not get punished at all but then people are getting banned like crazy for nothing. I’ve seen someone banned for saying gg before

The "You should tip the developers!" thing reminds me of that Shadow of War DLC fiasco where the studios' executive producer passed away due to cancer and they wanted to "honor" him with a $5 DLC where $3.50 would go to his family...before PS/Xbox/Steam got their cut, of course. Also, because of certain laws in the US, some states wouldn't have ANY of the money go towards the family.
It stirred up so much crap with a game already overflowing with lootboxes and other garbage that WB immediately apologized, pulled the DLC, and donated directly to the family.
I dont the lootboxes are that bad in shadow of war
I almost 100% the game and it was amazing. I spent more than 100 hour and didnt have problem with lootboxes
@hggpi Did you play it before or after the update that removed the lootboxes, fixed the leveling system, gave better gear rewards, optimized builds, and made it so that the Shadow Wars weren't a 10 stage grindfest where the only way to farm up the captains you needed to prevent them getting insta-killed was either building them up for hours or just buying them from a store?
Cause if it was after, I can understand you feeling that way. If it was before...no. Shadow of War is one of my favorite games and I couldn't be bothered to do the Shadow War grind.

@hggpi Oh yeah, if you've been playing it after the update, Shadow of War is a phenomenal game and is incredibly well balanced and fun.
Before the overhaul update, though? It was as much of a chore as any other live service game is now. The most obvious example is the Shadow Wars. It used to be a 10 wave section with multiple attack and defend phases that all but guaranteed you'd lose captains because of BS traits the AI would have with next to no rewards.
After the update? It's 3 waves and you get the Wraith cloaks from them on top of skill points and resources.
Ive got a tip for them, stop making wank games

Another thing is that if people get offended by people swearing they can always just use the block button.
