First Time Using a Paint Sprayer on Furniture | NO MORE BRUSH MARKS

- In this video I FINALLY try my hand at using a paint sprayer to paint a dresser! I absolutely love the way the sprayer allowed me to get such an amazing finish! I used the Wagner Flexio 4000 and their large spray shelter (everything is linked below). The prep work was heavy since I wanted to block the paint from getting everywhere but overall, the whole process seemed to go much faster than using a brush! I am not hanging up my brush but I am excited that I finally have a sprayer in my toolbelt so that I can use that from time to time! Especially with bigger projects! Thanks for watching!

I have watched some people who restore furniture before RUclips. One trick they would do is take the swivel out of a swivel rocker or recliner. And mount it either to their work table with a large board on top or you can even put it on the floor with two large boards screwing it together. The swivel out of those chairs can take 300 lb this way you can put a complete furniture on it and spin it around without having to walk around it.
Are you going to give updates on how much you have saved for a down payment like you did your student loan debt ? I think that was very intriguing to us subscribers . Tfs 🦋❤️
As soon as I'm done with a coat, I wet a paper towel with my mister and wipe the paint off of the front of the nozzle. Keeps it nice and clean until I'm ready for the next coat. Nice job!
I'm definitely not a wood purist by any stretch but that was the kind of wood that it pains me to see covered by paint and I'm someone often loves a paint job on furniture. It's still nice, though!
That was gorgeous wood...I will admit I was sad to see you paint this one but it turned out very pretty.
Whoever came up with the idea of pretaped plastic is a genius. I have seen on other flipper channels that after the first spray, to overlap the next spray 50%.
Get a crock pot and put the hardware in with water a dawn and your hardware will be clean at the end of the day. Just get an old one from the thrift store. It works so well!!
Great job with the sprayer. The one thing I do is when I empty out the paint from the container, I pour in the topcoat in the container. So I don’t clean the paint out. The when the topcoat is in I just mix that up and it’s ready to go. Your just using the paint that’s already in the container.
I'm only a few minutes into the video and I love your work. You produce gorgeous pieces. My heart is breaking thinking about all the beautiful wood that gets painted over these days. I understand that people want painted furniture more than they want a refinished piece, so it is more cost effective to paint and it adds more value. It just hurts me a little bit. 😳
I just saw a way to not have a mess of paint on the top when pouring paint. Put two pieces of tape into a V on the top of the can and then pour. Frog tape or duct tape. Whatever you have.
To solve the nozzle clogging or drying between coats, I would use a double layer of plastic wrap secured by a rubber band over the nozzle.
I got mine for Mother’s Day and it’s still in the box because I’m afraid to use it. Your video encouraged me to get-to-getting with it and Just Do It! Thanks!!!
I think Mary from the white cottage company uses that sprayer, she makes it look so simple.
If you do get another base or a few more, you could have one with water in it to “flush” the sprayer in between coats. Wipe the front and wait to switch back
Girl, I am so excited for you and proud of your hard work. I’m sure you are a phenomenal teacher and your kids will miss you dearly. But as someone who taught before, you and I know how exhausting and thankless that job is. Way to go, beautiful!
LOVE that you give touch up paint with the piece! So considerate, and if I were the buyer I know I would really appreciate it.. 👌GREAT JOB AS ALWAYS!!!
You are so talented! This is fantastic!
I know you put in a lot of work in these furniture flips, and I enjoy watching your channel. However, would you consider sometimes restoring the more special finds, rather than painting or upcycling?. This dresser has very strong modernist, art deco lines. Restoring the veneer, applying new French polish, or if not possible, a clear varnish, would likely result in a more timeless, valuable piece that could be sold for even more. I do like the painted furniture youdo when the furniture is ordinary. But this one, my heart broke.
You are truly a teacher. Your videos are fun, and informative, and have all the details that others need. Thank you!
