    Great video, Christina!! I have an older Wagner sprayer. I decided to get in some practice by spraying our interior doors black. It’s less detailed than furniture (my ultimate goal), but upped my comfort level so much. And I used your tips-adding a little water, practicing on cardboard, using paint strainers. Everyone loves the new look.
    I have the tent, but didn’t use it for doors. Need to work on my set up skills 😂😂. Thanks for the encouragement!

    I almost NEVER brush anymore! I ADORE my Wagner Flexio 3500 AND my Home Right Finsh Max Super. I have to say my Wagner is my favorite! So easy to use. I love the two settings AND I just can't even EVER go back to the brush strokes. I love the finish! Thanks for doing this comparison! I think it will really help people see the differences. Great video! :)

      @@Wagner-Spraytech I agree with Restyled. I think Wagner hit the sweet spot between usability, low maintenance, and most importantly, economy. By economy I'm not talking about the relatively low price for the sprayer, I'm talking about not wasting a full gallon of expensive paint filling the paint tubing on the fancy airless sprayers. I've already saved the price of the sprayer simply by not using airless. The 3500 is one of those tools I wish I had 50 years ago (which is loooong before they invented it, but still). Last summer I volunteered to paint my daughter's furniture if she would do the prep work. After watching me spray for 5 minutes, she grabbed the sprayer and took over for all the rest of the furniture. Made me proud.

    Hi Cristina, love, love, love your channel, your makeovers are so inspiring.
    My question is, what do you do with the sprayer in between coats, do you have to clean it and reload it or is it ok sit aside for a bit while the first coat dries? Thank you. ❤

    • @ChristinaMuscari
      @ChristinaMuscari  2 года назад +9

      If I'm only waiting 1-2 hours in between coats. I leave the paint in. If it has to set over night or I won't be able to get to that second coat in that time, I'll clean the nozzle and put a lid on the canister for when I come back to it.

    I am new to spraying and I would love to get a guide that tells me your recommended material flow level and air power level on the flexio 3500 with all your fave pains like Dixie belle, fusion, melange, Annie Sloan, etc etc. I sprayed a piece yesterday and played around w the levels w Dixie belle chalk paint and really struggled to get it right. I ended up with a first coat that wasn’t horrible but wasn’t anywhere near decent consistent coverage 😂😂

    I have two questions: first, I just purchased a flexio 4000, what are the differences between the 3500 and 4000? My second question is what kind of mask do you wear while you’re spraying? I love to watch your videos you make it all seem so doable.

    • @Wagner-Spraytech
      @Wagner-Spraytech 2 года назад

      They are extremely similar and offer all the same functionality, but the FLEXiO 3500 is handheld and the FLEXiO 4000 has a stationary base. This makes the FLEXiO 3500 more mobile, but also all the weight of the turbine is in your hand.

    Christina, thank you for your review! Your site is super helpful in comparing the pros and cons between the Wagner and Graco sprayers (an earlier video). The Wagner website isn't super helpful. A feature/specification chart on their website would be super helpful, instead of just saying "lightweight" and "10% lighter" (than what??). There are virtually no technical specs (weight, cord length, warranty, what's in the box, etc.) on their site. Weight is important to those who experience elbow/wrist strain from repetitive motion. I appreciated your comments about the pros/cons between corded (Wagner) and cordless with battery (Graco) sprayers. Do you have any information on the weight of the Wagner sprayer? Thanks!
    I just discovered that there is a Flexio model 4300/4000 that leaves the turbine on the ground...could be a good solution but I'd still (Wagner) like to know the weight of the hand-help parts of this model.

    You have convinced me to switch to a sprayer! I flip furniture and it takes me sooooo long to finishes pieces. My only question is... Do you find you have to wipe the nozzle tip periodically while spraying due to avoid dried bits of paint ending up on your finish? The online reviews of this product mention this. Thanks.

    • @dchall8
      @dchall8 2 года назад

      Great question. I've used the 3500 since it came out (was it last spring, 2022???). I've used both the big boy sprayer and the fine furniture sprayer. With the big boy sprayer you have to have a paper towel with you at all times to wipe the nozzle. With the furniture sprayer, not so much. I have the paper towel handy out of habit, but I really don't need it. I'm almost thinking the design of the bigger one has a flaw in the flat nozzle opening that allows the paint to collect and clog. Also you don't get dried bits of paint on the project. What seems to happen is the dried paint forms a flappy nozzle which changes the quality of the spray from a mist to sort of a clotty mist. But painting with the smaller one is much more fun/satisfying.

    I purchased this sprayer when I decided to paint all my interior doors. I was a little nervous but felt I had the basics of it after watching several videos. I have noticed when you paint, the air around you, even in you pop up tent, never gets hazy. When I painted, the amount of cloudiness in the room(garage) was rather heavy. Is this normal or do I have my settings wrong that may be causing this? This even happens with my garage door open. Is there a haze, I assume this is just overspray, in your work space that we don’t see on camera? I’ve seen people use this inside their house and I just ask, HOW?!!

    • @Wagner-Spraytech

      @@Wagner-Spraytech I was using an enamel trim paint from Sherwin Williams. I did lower the air flow and adjusted the material flow and I got horrible over spray splatters. Is there a recommended paint type or brand to use?

      If you are reselling furniture, get a sprayer. Time is money. What she said in the video was that spraying was about 7 times faster than brushing. That has been my experience with the same sprayer. We sprayed all my daughter's furniture in one day. That included 1 coat of primer and 2 coats of finish color. No way I/we could have done that with brushes and/or rollers.

    Yellow is my favorite color. You could use polyurethane after the paint dries. Putting this in a little girl's room would be great. Also, have you ever thought of gearing your pieces towards children? You could do a lot, such as, polka dots, stripes, etc.
