    The Bluetooth abilities that have been brought to the Avata 2 are very nice. Not only can you watch live feed from other devices wirelessly, but you can also just turn on the Avata and nothing else but say your iPhone with the DJI Fly App and transfer videos and pictures so much easier. You can also just turn on the Goggles 3 and do exactly the same thing. Nice time saver without having to even bother removing the Micro SD card or running a cable directly to the Avata.
    Even for some shots the Motion Controller has more uses where your dives and rising look much better in S&N Modes now than using the Controller 3. Manual Mode Fun is so much better on the Avata 2 and even in that mode it flies so so much better than the OG Avata.
    This is one of those videos you could have probably pulled off 10 reasons why you should buy the Avata 2! Thanks for the comparison.

    I am so glad DJI have relised the Avata2, thanks to them and videos like yours I decided to get one myslef and begin learning FPV, challenging I have to admit but a lot rewarding. I am still on the beginning mode as I only started flying about a month ago, but I feel already the difference from the first flight where I crashed so badly that I tought I was done with the drone as there were no chances it would have survived but instead, there it was - no damages other than few scratches and some propeller broken. unfortunatelly for me, leaving in Englad there are not many mountains or out of breath location where to film cinematic so I guess for now I will have to stick on the sim or what the area around me has to offer before travelling to nicer places.

    Danny i have a dji avata, and yesterday a went tou a party night indoor to work with it and when i fly the first time without people i could do it without problem, but when i pick the second battery to fly when the party was crowded i lost signal from the googles, the image was freezed and pixeled, and i couldnt fly. Why was that?

    I can say as a beginner, who started with standard fpv drones in the market. Lost my first one on the first flight.
    Avata 2 with the motion controller, is the best beginner setup out there. I was in so many situations where I would crash the drone into the waters into the mountain into the trees into a rock, losing connection, but the drone just stops where it is, and starting engaging return to home protocol. Which is just a lifesaver. I would lose my avata 5 times already, and I have it only 2 weeks. But thanks for the features, I still have it whole and complete.

    • @nidalenieve
      @nidalenieve 7 месяцев назад +1

      The RC controller comes with the kit so get it. Then buy the fpv controller but don't use it on the drone until you've become good at an fpv simulator like liftoff

      @@nidalenieve this is the answer, manual mode is extremely hard to use. Stick to the RC controller on the drone, and practice with a fpv controller on simulators (liftoff, velicdrone) for atleast 70-100 hours

    only 3km maximum distance? and only 15 min flight time? sucks..my Mini 3 costs $340 (newest deal at Costco), can do all the flying, great video, battery 38min/53 min and distance up to 6-7km and back no problem. Way better deal than this pricey Avata....

    • @bubus3828
      @bubus3828 8 месяцев назад +1

      But do you know that there's big difference between your mini 3 and avata? It's like comparing truck to sport car. They don't have the same purpose to use. Your mini 3 is slower and bigger, so its more stable, you use it mostly hovering and just moving your camera. Avata is FPV drone so it is made for close shots to the target, it use more battery because it moves all the time, it is faster and more agile. Most DIY FPV drones last less than 10 minutes... So it could be better deal for you but worse deal for someone else :)

    • @dylancleveland

      comparing them tells everyone that you're brand new to drones and don't know what you're talking about lol. mini 3 doesnt fly like an avata

      @@dylancleveland it might not fly like avata, but that doesnt mean the mini 3 is worse. I havent run into situation what I couldnt do with the Mini 3. Pretty much everything, and actually more than the Avata (due to better batteries and longer flights and longer distances etc)....1/3 of the price and more capabilities. I dont see, why anyone would even want to buy the Avata for that money.

    • @brandon9689
      @brandon9689 8 месяцев назад

      The mini does not compare to the Avata at all. The Avata is an introduction into manual/acrobatic flight. It offers a near infinite way to push your skills to a level that is impossible with a hovering drone.
      I have a mini 4 pro after watching the drone market for 7 years. I've had it for 3 months and I'm already bored with it, and I wish I went into FPV instead. Mini is an amazing line of drones, but if you want to push your flight skills it doesn't take you very far at all.

      @dymos7750 7 месяцев назад

      Just compare the maximum flying angels and the maximum flinging speeds. The point is it’s a FPV drone with VR goggles that are at the moment the best on the market. Just to make this clear, not directly comparable in FPV use cases.

  • @Zeisslermusic

    Here is 1 Reason not to fly this drone in Europe. You only Can fly 30 m away without a spotter..

    • @BlueDroneBlues
      @BlueDroneBlues 8 месяцев назад +2

      I know many people even here in the US don't use a spotter. I mean, it's not like you can always take someone with you and have a spotter on hand for most. If I could just pull someone out of thin air every time I want to fly my drone and have them play spotter I would, but that just isn't the reality of it for probably 90% of us that fly drones.
      If we just fly the Avata or in general an FPV drone where we are wearing Goggles to fly, we generally fly in places where we hopefully won't be disturbed by the wildlife and Karen's of the world.

    -Watches first video: "He's right, I don't need an Avata 2, my Avata 1 is just fine"
    -Watches second video: "Damn, maybe I DO need the Avata 2"
    If they make the 2 compatible with the FPV Goggles 2 and Remote 2, I'd be hard pressed not getting the new one. Plus, I think the noise reduction is a major factor for me. I cringe when I fire up the Avata 1, an have to fly around people with that screaming thing.

      I was flying the OG Avata last night and I have it a few hundred feet away and can still freaking hear it screaming away. With the Avata 2 I wouldn't be hearing anything from 1/2 that distance and that is with traffic between me and the drone in an open field.

    A shameless DJI promo video and you clearly have zero real experience with anything other than DJI equipment. Retune to home is great but pretty standard these days. Ive never ever known a drone to just “fall out of the sky” on losing connection. Also, in the UK you have to have visual line of sight of the drone at all times which you cannot have at much over 4-500m so being able to 3k is interesting but pointless. Get some wider experience and maybe you’ll have something interesting to say.
