Gosh, every few months I check to see the new pizza episodes and still. Three years later we don't have a new pizza show season. I'm glad I'm not the only one wanting a new season.
I’m 2 days late on updating this comment. Alas, it’s June 30, 2022 and there’s still no season 3. It’s now June 28, 2021. It’s been one year since I posted this comment. Still no season 3. It’s June 28, 2020. Still no season 3.
Is there a season 3 coming? Frank still has to cover Milwaukee style pizza, Quad cities style pizza, Steubenville style pizza, Providence RI grilled style pizza, Buffalo NY Style Pizza, St. Louis style pizza, D.C. jumbo style pizza, Memphis BBQ Pizza, and Buenos Aires fugazetta style pizza.
He's already gone to a ton of places in the USA. Nobody gives a shit about DC jumbo or Memphis bbq style pizza. Most likely the next season will be a tour of Europe. South America could also be interesting, though.
@@djhenyo Outside of Italy there is no European regional styles, so those episodes will just be stupid like this London one. I'd rather see an episode about D.C. or Memphis style, which have interesting histories to them then him just going back to N.Y. or some place that doesn't have a style in which he just eats N.Y. style pizza there. He (or VICE) needs to do a better job deciding where to go for some of these episodes. How did he go to Naples and not visit Pizzeria Brandi (the inventor of the Margherita pizza) or Pizzeria Starita a Materdei (the inventor of fried pizza) or even Port'Alba (the first and oldest pizzeria in the world). While in Northern California he didn't even visit Chez Panisse (the inventor of California style pizza). It be better if he gave more credit to the historically significant establishments in some of these episodes is what i'm saying.
@@justinyang8603 There is so much pizza history in Italy that he could easily do a second trip there as part of a larger European tour, and, seeing as how they just released this extra slice episode in England, that is almost certainly the plan if a Season 3 is really in the works. Including this one there are 21 Pizza Show videos, and only 5 of those were in places outside of the USA. Frank should do more foreign countries. There are tons of good regional styles that you've never heard about.
I was in England in fall 2019 and I don’t understand how the ”England has bad food” stereotype has continued to live on. The food everywhere we went was amazing. Way better than home (western Canada).
I think it's "English food" that's "bad" - our meals like Sheppard's Pie etc are all very bland looking. It's all very hearty food that comes from all the post-war generations. But, I think thee new wave of home cooks are a lot more switched on and I think it's starting to show. London's food scene is wild, and probably rivals any I've ever had. Also, some of the modern reinventions of British classics are great.
It has been too long since your last episode! There is something about watching how many people, around this country and around the world, use pizza as a canvas to express their creativity, which is so enthralling. Thank you Frank and crew for bringing this experience to us. I hope you continue with this show!
A real shame season 3 never happened. I looked forward to watching another episode. Frank became like a friend to visit with and learn about pizza. Very affable and knowledgeable.

@@nostalgia_junkie They are technically forced to hibernate by another god/goddess or sorcerer/sorceress when they use a spell to seal them away to make sure they don't cause any harm to the universal balance, but they aren't powerful enough to make them die. That's why the deity is hibernating
there is one such, although not a deity (more of a demon), in Hindu mythology too. Hibernates all the time coz he's ill tempered and extremely huge in size. so the demons wake him up only when they have to feed him or when they need him for action.

I've been to Best Pizza in Brooklyn (Frank Pinello's pizzeria) and it is legit in my top-5 pizza joints in all of NYC. Frank could have been the perfect combination of arrogant American + cocky New Yorker but it's lovely to see that he is none of those things. I love how he keeps an open mind on how other people do pizza.

I'm an American living in London. Checked out Yard Sale in Finsbury Park for the express purpose of trying Frank's white. Sadly, it's discontinued. :( Was impressed with staff, however, who knew exactly what I was talking about when I asked for it. They're fans of the show and of Frank.

I was a line cook most my life and stopes cooking about 9 months ago to start working at a car dealership. Sometimes i miss going to war on the line, during a dinner rush we worked like clockwork. It was a crazy, stresstull, and difficult job...i miss it sometimes
