This has probably been said a thousand times, but one of the beautiful things about Hot Ones is that it shows you a side of celebrities that you’d almost never see in other interviews. They’re so used to the same questions and same process, but seeing them get surprised when they’re asked questions they don’t expect and suddenly get comfortable talking about things they’re passionate about... that’s Hot Ones’ greatest gift.

I agree 100% the only other show I've seen that can bring out different sides of people is "The Graham Norton Show." But Sean really does his research and just seems like such a genuine guy and that's what makes this show standout imo.

the fact you introduced him as an actor without bringing up High School musical is awesome and appreciated and I know Zac felt the same. Way to go.
I thought the same Zac was able to bring it up himself twice which should show people he loves the franchise knows that it gave him the platform and jumpstart to a longevity career so he is humble looking back .

He put a lot of effort into Bundy, and it REALLY showed. Zac chose to humanize him, which was a bold move for someone with his media profile because people have had reacted negatively to it when they don't understand that human element is exactly what Bundy used until the very end. So many people were convinced by his act. Zac finally did it in a way that properly explained it.

Definitely one of Hot Ones best episodes, Zac may not have known about the show before hand but you can tell he immediately respected Sean’s interviewing from the first question. He jumped straight into involving himself more with the interview, popping open the sauces and complimenting Sean’s questions and what he has done with the show. So amazing what this show has accomplished.
This show is so successful because he’s a great host with thoughtful questions that aren’t too personal or awkward. It seems fun for the guest too. Just a winning combo to get celebrities into a new zone they’ve never been seen in before!

Nardwuar does some great research for his interviews as well!
He’s got a great team around him that helps him with that, but the way he delivers the questions too are unique and fun to watch. Nothing about his interviews are ever awkward and it’s awesome.
No one hears it as much as nardwuar, but as far as interviewers I am aware of, Sean is second, which is still super good!

This is one of my favorite episodes to come back to. Zac is just so pleasant and I love that he is really interested in the experience he's having.
I love it every time a guest says “great question”, “what you’re doing is money”, “I’ve always wanted to be here” and “this was so fun”. You can see Sean light up and genuinely appreciate the compliment. Fun, heartwarming content.

man you can just tell that he's so use to shitty interviews that he's genuinly surprised that Sean did research and actually knows movies he’s starred in
Probably cause most people just talk about the HSM movies and he's probably been asked about it for 5+ years, yet they ask the same questions. He wants to be a legit actor now and not have his career judged on 3 movies he made in his teens. Which is completely fair.
Many people wouldn't be happy if they tried to have legit jobs and they constantly got interviewed by crap interviewers who just focus on 3 things you did in your teens and this would be a repetitive cycle for a number of years whilst you're trying to legitimise yourself as a genuine worker.
Read your comment before I watched the video and man, you can definitely see it. I know people get impressed by Sean's questions all the time but you can see something in Zac's eyes or face that says wow. He's probably been asked about his body or HSM or relationships thousands of times but he seems so happy and impressed that someone is asking him things that he's never been asked before or thought about in years.

This show never ceases to amaze me. We're so used to seeing celebrities being celebrities answering the same questions with the same answers over and over again. Here they actually feel like normal people just having a chat with a friend. Hot ones is truly a magical format, never change it!

They research (and wow props to the team behind this show) but it’s also respect for these “celebrities” actual profession asking them questions about their jobs and not their relationships or bodies (of course zac is into fitness and has a channel abt it so it’s different). It seems so simple and yet hardly any interviewers avoid those types of topics. Mad respect for this show

Physical body is also very important too but the mind is DEFINITELY the most underrated thing is our society to work on and ironically the most important. Yet it's the most ignored.

@@darcyadelle it’s weird how people act so dramatic when a public figure stops being orthorexic and makes the personal choice to no longer have less than 5% body fat for the sake of their mental health. Like...his face looks fine, they’re just used to him having this very restrictive lifestyle that gave him a particular look. This is an improvement from his baywatch look, at least. I understand bodybuilding is a really intense and important culture for many and people do it for themselves, but they have to remember that you can’t keep up that lifestyle just for the sake of pleasing others and letting it be a detriment of your mental health, self worth and happiness. Not that my opinion matters, I think happiness and normal levels of self care that isn’t super life consuming makes for an attractive person. So seeing him being super settled and reflective makes zac’s personality really appealing to me and him being pleased with his looks makes me prefer him like this (and I wasn’t really someone that followed him or career that much)👍

The media does SO MUCH damage to people's general view on bodily health and what is considered an acceptable or healthy weight. It's sad really. Zac Efron is so level. For a dude that grew up in that Disney star spotlight, he's really Down To Earth. I like this guy.
Once the nations lived in peace and harmony but everything changed when the feet niggas attacked.
It was a peaceful time everyone could enjoy their own aspect but when the feet niggas decided to attack the thigh guys it was over. The times of peaceful handling and watching were over. Immediately the thigh guys informed the boob dudes and ass bro’s about the betrayal and they all agreed on planning a counter attack. This was, of course in the form of memes. The memes flooded all of reddit, ridiculing the feet niggas but this only made them stronger. The people seeing the memes decided to do their own research and found out in what group they belonged, unfortunately some found out that they were feet niggas.

So the thigh guys went thinking and came up with a solution. Now I know this isn’t ideas. Said the thigh guys. But we have to get help from some of our alliances, the weebs. We know that there are a lot of foot niggas over there but they also have a literal religion around anime thighs. If there is someone who can help it is the weebs.
So they sat around a table, discussing tactics on how to defeat the feet niggas once and for all. We could make memes right? Asked the weebs. No we already tried but it only made them unite and become stronger. Answered the ass bro’s boob dudes and thigh guys. So they had to find something new. Suddenly it stuck them all at once. To get rid of the feet niggas for once and for all we must do what is necessary, we must not make memes about them. We must make them a meme.
And so it happened, r/animemes r/dankmemes r/memes r/okebuddyretard and even r/pornmemes rised up in retaliation against this wack af fetish. They made the feet niggas a meme. This stopped them from recovering from it, the group became smaller because no one want to be part of a bad meme and the boob dudes ass bro’s and thigh guys invited the weebs to the big table, the table of 4. Now the feet niggas where finished a new alliance had to be made. The alliance of scientific purposes.

I underestimated zac, 💯 on all levels. He was engaged in the interview, such a good sport, answered all of the questions thoughtfully. Past and future guests need to take notes. Most of the rappers I see on here - waste of Sean’s time. Some celebs seems like they only come on here to do the challenge, forgetting the Sean worked super hard coming up with quality questions. I find it disrespectful when celebs come on and they don’t answer or ignore Sean’s questions, basically not giving a eff. Anyway, good job Zac.

The thing I like about Hot Ones is that they don’t interview over controversial drama bullshit. You actually get to know the actors, actresses, and artists on a personal genuine level. It’s only the best. I love hot ones, because it opens doors other interviewers keep shut. This is the type of interviewing more celebrities need. They are just people at the end of the day, and we need more of their down to earth humanity. Thank you Hot Ones for being awesome! 🔥
It´s also the only interview show I watch, others just sit in a chair and try to get the celebrities to dig up dirt or asking the same questions over and over again and I LOVE how in basically every episode of hot ones the celebrities says "that´s a great question" because they are used to being asked the same questions again and again and this show is so wholesome, Sean isn´t trying to get some answers out of them they shouldn´t have said it´s on a personal level as you said and you can see how happy these celebrities are with every question.

Yea. As a fan of Zac for many years, all of his interviews were never this great like Sean’s. Interviewees mostly focus on asking him about his physique, love life and other nonsense stuffs so honestly, this is by far the best one yet! Fans of Zac’s always wanted to have something like this for him. We had enough of those stereotypical interviews. So hats off to Sean! 🥰
