Very nice ! Great tutorial Teancum Thxxx ( I’ve made a couple & I’ve added in between one of the page sets that Crinkle paper and to the feet, tail, etc I heard the kids love it !) 😁
Perfect timing. I just bought several panel books like these to make. I have a grand baby on the way. Your tutorial will make it easy for me to put these books together. Thank you.
I have also used book panels similar to these to make children’s quilts. The individual pages must be cut separately, and then put in correct sequence so the story can still be followed. I added Sashing between each block and each row. These were very popular as gifts for babies and for young children!
I've done a few of these. When I had one with those frog leg things that hang down I figured out to use my free motion foot. It wasn't a true quarter inch seam but it helped me immensely!
As you can see we are behind on the replies. I am trying to catch up and stay that way. I hope you have found the answer to any questions you had and thanks for watching!
I had looked for the purple thing high and low in where I live (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia).. to no avail. 😒 To order online, the shipping cost is so much more than the purple thing itself. 😁 One day I found a chopstick.. it changed everything... 😊. Thanks for making this video.. I have always wanted to do fabric book. They often look so sophisticated and complicated... I didn't know it could be that easy and fun.
Thank you very much for posting this ! Great tutorial 👍🏼 can we order from here ? Sorry did not catch your name ? Love that it’s machine washable too ♥️
Question....on my pages the character is outlined with little dashes. I did one previously and didn't know what to do with the dashes within the characters. Example little teapot story...each page shows the teapot outlined with printed dashes. Last time I ignored them. The instructions say nothing about the dashes. This time I took out my floss and I'm stitching the dashes around the teapot. If I had thought about it prior to assembling the pages I would have quilted them on my machine prior to assembly. Now I feel that with this book it's too obvious to ignore and 8m hand stitching each page. I'm using ribbon in some areas to reduce the amount of stitching. Did I miss something? Is anyone else doing something different.?????
I have made dozens of these books over the years and many recently, and none had legs/ears/etc sticking out of the book. You apparently only stock ones that do, but there are many books without.
The most recent ones that have come out really starting to embrace the parts that stick out. They are great! We have a wide variety of them that you can see on our website. ~Take Care, Brody & Teancum
I apologize! That is a rather old tutorial and we no longer carry that fabric. We do have a lot of other great panels on our website at www.sewyeahquilting.com. Thanks for watching!

I love y’all’s videos! It’s wonderful how you explain things in simple terms, anyone can become a quilter by watching your show 😃

It's really your preference on what to do for those dashes. You can stitch them or leave them. The ribbon is a nice idea as well. Thanks for watching!
