I’ve always loved that white high collared dress, and loved that she wore it a few times on the show. To see it in color is just absolutely stunning, especially on her.
The colorization is top notch. I feel that if CBS colorized I Love Lucy it could be rerun in prime time. It gives a whole new perspective to the series.
I finally get to see my favorite dress 👗 of Lucy's in color: the white dress with the spray of flowers 💐 around the waistline. And it's just as beautiful as I imagined. Thanks so much‼️
I'm so glad to finally see the Fashion Show episode in color, I was always so curious about what color those dresses were! Though I wonder how accurate they are.
I know colonization is controversial, but these make me feel like I was in the studio audience. I love them. And I'm Desi would've filmed in color if it were feasible.
Winston Churchill was one of colonization's most fervent defenders. He seem to feel that India, in particular, benefited from exposure to British culture and the English language 🇬🇧
Colorization has come a long way. When previously, it just looked awkward and weird, now technology is better that it actually looks good and more natural. I think they've done a great job with the colorized I Love Lucy episodes.

I loved the Hollywood episodes but it always puzzled me why Ricky was acting as though he were a seasoned actor, hobnobbing with established entertainers. He was invited there to star in one movie but he was constantly talking to the stars as though they were old acquaintances when in fact, he was just a novice getting his feet wet!
I’d LOVE to see the the entire fashion show in the Don Loper episode because I always wondered what color the gowns were in real life. Do you know if that episode is available on any site?
The entire episode, "The Fashion Show", is available on DVD along with 15 other colorized episodes. But the one I have always wanted to see most in terms of colors realized? Mrs. Van Heflin and her violet satin coat lined in fucshia and purple. Imagination on this was never enough! Another interesting blurb: the tweed outfit Lucy modeled was NOT a Don Loper but rather was designed by Edward Stevenson (although Elois Jenssen was at this time still doing wardrobe). Stevenson had designed for Ball over the years going back to days at RKO. But I always found it puzzling as to why only one suit not designed by Loper was credited to him anyway. Ah, the fickleness of credits in Hollywood! And could one ever imagine a gown such as the one worn by Mrs. Richard Carlton finding its way onto the ballroom floor in today's body-conscious Beverly Hills set? I mean the roses only serve to amplify the derriere!
@@keiththompson9575 Great info. Agree it’s odd that the tweed suit was from a different designer. I, too, would love to see the actual colors of those gowns. I wonder if they’re still in existence?
I have two coffee mugs (different from Vitameatavegamin Cute to have your am coffee or tea in - always makes me smile. Also have a.burlap satchel - big picture of Lucy with Girl Boss on the front. It's cute and enjoyable - good to carry some items in. Great big picture of Lucy looking upward (imagining the stars).
It’s super interesting you bring that up as that was a colorized episode they did for the 2019 Christmas special and they only one they haven’t released so I can’t put the color version of that one in this!
No so - my mother had the coloring - very fair skin, blue eyes, dark red hair (natural) she could never sit in the sun - always had large sun glasses very wide sombero hat and sitting under a large umbrellla when we went to the beach.
I always saw it as an addition too the old shows. I would feel differently if they were somehow replacing the old versions, but if the new color versions attract more attention to the show, I think that benefits everybody!

0:58 This was Lucy's best outfit, IMO. She wore many beautiful outfits, but this white one with the roses just seems extra special. X)

I know colonization is controversial, but these make me feel like I was in the studio audience. I love them. And I'm Desi would've filmed in color if it were feasible.
Me too! And he would have actually, but the quality of color film was such worse quality and nobody had color tvs then, it just wasn’t worth it.

I can't believe the walls of their fancy Hollywood hotel room were pink!!
I know right!
I've always liked that floral print dress on her
I appreciate the hard work gone into the colourisation, but for me it worked better in black and white
Some people definitely feel that way too!

Lucie s hair was really red or is that orange oh well! She! is still funny and beautiful!
Agreed!
She was a redhead her hair wa not so bright. But here this happened because of the coloring. It's not exactly the same
I didn't know how "RED" Lucy hair was till now . 😆😆😆😆
It’s crazy!
They are in color

The colors are what I thought they were.

🤣🤣🤣🤩
Well sir the headdress is just a little heavy
😂
When lucy said that it's so funny
It's better color
I think so too!
You want to go work I wish you would use the one about me not having any talent
It's all out of order
The episodes are, but each joke is in an order in which it is understandable.

Why do we have to tamper with iconic shows by ruining these great shows with that unnatural colorization?
I always saw it as an addition too the old shows. I would feel differently if they were somehow replacing the old versions, but if the new color versions attract more attention to the show, I think that benefits everybody!
I Hate Lucy in color.
How about you show the video tape of him talking to whomever. Fake news at its best.
our nation suffers from depression, why don't you show all parts in whole?
Lol, I wish I could but that would violate copyrighting.
