Currently studying abroad in Edinburgh, Scotland. Ceilidh's are huge and are a must for soaking in the culture. It's a big party full of scottish dancing and music.
Your accent was a bit rough.
But a decent attempt.
Glad you like Scotland.
Hope you come back.
I have to admit anytime i meet a tourist i go out of my way to be helpful.
Im glad people love my country.
Thanks and nice video.
Cheers! We love Scotland and would really like to come back and make more content! :)
+chunky monkeyjohn I was there a couple of weeks ago (in Ed.) and most locals were helpful and friendly.Certainly will visit again in the near future
+vagabrothers i live in kile of lochalsh scotland and i think some of the best mountains are the basalt black coulans on sky and climb the inacsecable pinacle or the old man of stor you should also visit the hakin bar in kyleakin sky.hakin was the name of the king of the vikings who took over clachean and renamed it kyleakin in his name. one of the only castles in scotland that was not rebuilt from war is calstle moil.castle moil, ealan donnan castle and a few more shined bright fire signals to call for backup in war so hakin comes to clachean we shine a light to ealan donnan in dornie ,dornie shines a light to glenelg castle and so on until all off scotland knows. thats how protective we are of are countrie the whole of scotland would fight for a vilage of only around 40 people . i hope you find this helpfull.
+chunky monkeyjohn my dad always starts a long convesation with tourests about highland history. do you live around sky or invershnecy/invverness or do you live down south at glasgow/aberdeen/edinburgh
+Connor bennon hi
Scotland is so beautiful! Have to say going walking up the top end of Isle of Skye was the best part!
Jealous! We never made it to the Isle of Skye. It looks so gorgeous!
I am already looking forward to visit Scotland next Year.....Can't WAIT!!!!!!!!!
Been to Scotland 2 years ago. Saw it, loved it. Never wanted to leave. I lost my heart for that beautiful country and can't wait to go back as soon as possible!
It's shite, cauld, and water is baltic. Why would you want tae come here
This is great. My family came from Scotland a few generations ago, I'd love to go and meet my family there and see all of these things!
We fully support tracing roots! Get out there and find your family! :)
very nice work! my buddy lived there for a few years, met his wife, had a kid, and they all moved back to the US.
Gotta agree with your critique of the Highlands. I recommend Aviemore, they party all night long and are so friendly. The Scots are just the best people in the world, can't wait to go back this fall. I'm staying two weeks in the Highlands next time...and two nights in Edinburgh! However, I must disagree with one point -- Nessie is alive and well!
e.z. walker she is not real unless ur drunk
e.z. walker YESSS! I got so triggered when he said my good ol’ Nessie was gone... and for god sake.. he could ha d at lest spelt it right.
Kello Chippy Dippy leave ma Nessie alone.
I went to Scotland a few summers ago. Two things you guys didn't mention: Highland games and castles! We went to a Highland games in Forres. It was fun bro see bagpipes, bike races and highland dancing. We also went to two castles, the Culzean castle and Cawdor castle. Both were beautiful, on the inside and in the surrounding gardens.
runnerdancer196 Highland Games sound so fun!
I'm currently saving and preparing for my RTW trip and Scotland is definitely one of my most anticipated destinations! Thanks for your video! It's really helpful!
I live in Scotland and yeah you guys are right! It's a fun place! The scenery is amazing, but come packed for cold and wet :)
what about Falkirk with our fucking big wheel and don't forget the kelpies
i love scotland, the festivals are the best!!
wallace fought the "british" for independence???? wtf you talking about? We fought the English !!!!!!
YOU weren't even there!
bilsbobaggins1 mate of course he wasn’t there but story’s and more you twat
I was there for about a month last summer and the coolest place I went to was Dunottar Castle, it was a very run down castle, but very interesting!
Aye at Stonehaven, I go fishing in are boat near the cliffs at the castle, good fun.
Gald you like Scotland pal!!
it looks run down because it was blown up by Oliver Cromwell, about 300 years ago.
I spent some time in Dumfries and loved every minute- the people were wonderful and the shops were a delight. Our B&B host drove us up to the mountains and pulled out some chocolate bars. The goats raced down the slope and clamored for that candy so pitifully that we had to go back for more. I would recommend Dumfries to anyone!
I live next to Findhorn, Forres, I'm currently doing Erasmus in Madrid. This video as made me appreciate my home, often take it for granted.
Islay is a must for hiking and whisky!! More remote than the famous Skye, I feel--must fly or take a ferry there. Orwell's 1984 was written in the super close neighboring isle, Jura.
I'm from Scotland and you guys have travelled around it way more than I have! I really enjoyed this though, LOVE Edinburgh and I live really near Glasgow. Never been to the islands though, definitely on my list! I have a couple of vlogs up from Dumbarton Castle, Oban and Edinburgh though :)
BeautyCreep Cheers!!! Hope all is well!
I'm going to Scotland next year. What are a few things I should do?
I absolutely love the fact that you guys take the time to reply to comments ! Your videos are amazing , keep up the great content guys !! :) You guys have definitely made me want to travel the world, hopefully one day i have the chance
Thank you for taking your time to watch and comment. We really appreciate it. Glad our videos get you stoked to travel and engage with the world! :)
Edinburgh is a very interesting city that you can spend many days in and still not see it all. The castle is spectacular, monuments are everywhere, good shopping, museums, oh and TOM RIDDLES TOMBSTONE!
It's whisky not whiskey
I paused the video to find this comment.
Even more ironic to use it in a sentence describing how Scottish (Irish) 'whiskey' is.
Glad you guys enjoyed it. My advice to all visitors, bring waterproofs and midgie spray if you go out in the country, in summer.
I love Scotland ! Been theretwice, 2 x 1 month, loved every minute of it, and i'll do it again, hopefully ( I live in the south of France, not exactly dull, and half time in Vietnam, not quite boring either, but I do love Scotland too ! All the best and keep it going
Visiting Scotland is at the top of my bucket list
Been visiting Scotland twice, now moving there in two months... and I'm already at 7/10 of the things to do according to your awesome list. Sounds awesome!
Greatest experiences to me were the trip with the Jacobite Steam Train, from Fort William to the fishermen's village of Mallaig; beautiful sceneries, the magic of a steam train and the best seafood ever tried! Also, getting lost around the castles' ruins is an experience not to be missed.
Love love love Scotland!
A great place to go in Scotland is you don't have much time but still want to do loads of things is the island of Arran. It has mountains, valleys, festivals and even a few natural pools as well as campsites and even it's own distillery and crazy golf course!
I miss the lovely mountains, beaches and wonderfull people of home. Love you beautiful Scotland. I will see you again sometime in the future, for now I am happily travelling our amazing world. Oh, and well done on the accent, it sounded pretty good!
We love Scotland as well!
I'm going to Scotland and England next week. I'm so exicted.
Have fun!! Where are you traveling from?
I'm traveling from LA.
There is an old steam train that runs from Fort William twice a day to the west coast of Scotland. The views are incredible.
Excited to see Scotland next week!
I live in Glasgow and I love it! Scotland is a beautiful country
Glasgow is cool!!!
I live in Scotland and I have to agree the highlands (where I live) are amazing with some amazing sights to be seen
Eillish Murray We want to get back to Scotland so bad! Such an amazing place. Specially since Alex is getting into Fly Fishing!
That's amazing I hope you guys manage to get back soon. Never tried fly fishing myself but all the best guys :)
The fairy pools, Isle of Skye. magiiikk
My uncle Harry's Pub, Bristol Bar in Glesga haha
In what glesga what the f**k us that
......glasgow
watch Scotland play football or rugby : best atmosphere in the world
Good tip!
+vagabrothers I live in scotland and the acent was crap
Andrew Neil iknr I'm scottish
Andrew Neil the atmosphere is best at Celtic park
Philip Canning Don't think anyone visiting Scotland wants to go to a match where majority of the supporters are obsessed with Ireland more than Scotland and it's Irish Flags everywhere a Scotland match would be much better to go to.
I’m Scottish and my mum used to live in a castle in Scotland when tourists came.... literally she would try to spook them out haha! I went there when I was little and it was sooooo cool!
This is actually very great! For a graduation present, I'm going to be visiting my best friend who lives in Glasgow in 2016! Definitely going to be a major change of scenery since I live in Puerto Rico, but I'm pretty psyched! Totally awesome Scottish accent by the way.
Paula Mendez muchas gracias!! Preparate porque hace mucho frio alli! :)
You're welcome! Oh, I've already been warned about this countless times. lol I grew up in the States, so I am used to the cold, but I'm expecting it to be worse.
Yep, Scotland was amazing for sure. You're wrong about the Loch Ness monster though, because I had a live channeling session with it on the shores of Loch Ness! Definitely for real! Just kidding. I did however hitchhike to John'O'Groats at the top of Scotland which was pretty rad.
Haha! You scared us with the Nessy claim! :) Safe travels!
Right on, thanks. Next I'm heading to the Rainbow Gathering in Utah (I'm back in California at the moment). That will be a whole other experience, should be pretty fun and interesting....
Did you get to hitchhike around the north west highlands? Or manage to climb any mountains? I find the west highlands to be the most beautiful place in Scotland although, I might be a little bias as that is where I call home. At the moment I am travelling around Europe, slowly hitching to the European Rainbow gathering in Romania and then to the world gathering in Hungary. Have you ever been to a European rainbow gathering? I would love to experience an American rainbow and know how different it is to the European ones
lolsaXx We've never been to a rainbow gathering but we've hitch-hiked across the Scottish highlands. Check out our video Searching for Scotland Pt. 3 - Hitching the Highlands.
Just checked out your channel Gabriel, its cool. SUBSCRIBED.
I live in scotland and it sure is a beautiful place but if you ever get the chance to go back pay Tiree a visit , its a small hebridean island thats absolutely amazing . Its great for any kind of watersports and the sea there is crystal clear you can often sea seals or sharks just off the shore .
Sounds great. We'd love to come back to Scotland and make some more films!
I've been in Edinburgh and it was amazing, so lovely and nice! I went to see the parliament and it was very interesting since the Scottish parliament is quite a new addition to Scotland since it's part of the UK. You can easily book tours and hear many interesting facts about the architecture and what not - I highly recommend visiting Edinburgh!
We didn't make it to the Parliament but we did make a 4 part series on Scotland. Check it out! Searching for Scotland: Why Independence? (Part 1/4)
Very informative video! So proud of you guys and keep up the good work :D
Thanks Will!
so glad I live in Scotland
Same !
Aye its just the best
I’m from Scotland and I went surfing not long ago it’s so fun so lay on the board as well and just drift over the waves Scotland is so amazing and I’m glad it’s my home btw decent accent
Great video! I LOVE Scotland. Did a 14 day roadtrip (hostels) there in 2010 and went back last year backpacking/camping on the Isle of Sky (i think it was around 10-12 days). Two totaly different ways of traveling but both AWESOME! I do love the backpacking more cause it's way more adventurous. You never know where you'll end up :) We are definitely going back next year to a different island :) already preparing and upgrading our travelgear. But i must say, we went there in September and it can be super cold at night in a tent so don't be greedy on a good sleeping bag, i know it can cost a lot but it's worth it and if you take good care of it, you'll enjoy it for many years.
Oh and SUBSCRIBED! (Forgot to tell that)
we hv choosen scotland for our family holidays this year! yeay!!
Isle of Lewis and/or Harris is a must
Loved it. Serious trip highlight.
I went to Scotland last summer and it is my favorite place in the world! However I wasn't there for very long, so next time I go I will definitely use some of your suggestions :)
Cool! Glad you enjoyed Scotland and our video!
Flying for Scotland next week! Soo looking forward!
Enjoy!
I'm from Germany and I'm going to visit Scotland with my class in july, so exciting ^-^

I live in Scotland I love listening to the bagpipes and going to the Meadows in lochore on a hot day
Hey Jenni, we are new Scottish youtubers, we are just looking to see if you would be interested in checking out our content and giving some feedback on it!? We are trying to grow so we can shot Scotland off to the world! Any feedback and support would be super appreciated! Thank you!

Have you seen our series, "Searching for Scotland?" There's a link to it at the end of the video. We hitch-hiked from Aberdeen to the Hebrides.
scotland has a lot of history, an ancient village was just discovered somewhere next to the m74 motorway. maybe visit the castles and there is an underground tunnel network near edinburgh gilmerton cove
I live in Scotland. I would recommend going to Dundee we have: A boat called the unicorn ship, St Andrews the home of golf, law hill the biggest place In Dundee and It also has a monument for all the solders who were in the war.
I’m from the Isle of Skye and highly recommend visiting
If you didn't pronounce something wrong, you misspelled something, or referred to the British as English. I am deeply offended sirs.
A bit late but you guys should search up the north coast 500 and the north east 250, they are road trip routes which take u around the highlands. I have lived in Scotland my whole life and until earlier this year I had no idea how beautiful the highlands were,
Go to eaglesham it's a village south west of Glasgow , great history great bars/pubs great restaurants and most importantly great scenery (and people )
I am going to go to Scotland 🏴 in 6 days!!!!!! I am so excited 😆
I am from Scotland i lived in a town call ayr in Ayrshire and I lived there all my life.and if you want to go to Scotland its a nice place to go too and I moved down to London uk for 5 years ago and great place to go on holiday
Much love for Edinburgh! Many a happy weekend. Great vid x
Thank you!
surfing is fantastic.....cool. thanks guys!
Awesome video!! The Orkney Islands are the best! :)
Still haven't made it out there. Would love to come for the Viking boat burning festival!
Late to the party, but since you asked... Alex's accent, not bad. In 2011 I went on tour thru Scotland for 30 days. Best tip: keep you heart open as you travel. Incredible. Hubby's cousin 'warned' him that the Scottish people were not nice. Halfway thru our trip I asked Hubs "What the hell did Mike do to piss off all of Scotland!?!?" It's the only place I have ever been that felt like "home".
Used to go on holiday near Findhorn, some great pubs with good food
Really good list. I would say Applecross Village is a must :) Wild Nature with Skye island in front of it. I spent a wonderful 3 days exploring this area.
This is such an amazing video , I come from Scotland and I have to say your attempt at a Scottish accent was very good :) Safe Travels
Thank you! Love Scotland!
I live on a tidal island off the North East Coast of England. Come check it out Vaga brothers!
Hey Molly! What's the name of your island?
Holy Island or Lindisfarne. Its a beautiful small fishing village!
I've been there it's beautiful there except it said once I got on the island on a sign military activity
Pretty rad video guys!
Thanks Ingmar!

I went to scottland in febuary.it was amazing!

all places are really beautiful...love it,,i wud like to settle in scotland...awesome country..
You should talk more about the outdoors than the cities, but it was a good video:)
I live in east Scotland, in a town called Carnoustie which is not far from St Andrews and is popular for golf too.
I've been to Edinburgh this year and it was amazing, if you have the time and money you should check it out!
Scotland is one of my most favorite places in the world! If you think the surfing is good, you should definitely check out the scuba diving!! :-D
