Oh man! I remember watching this when it was posted and just watched it again. It seems like a lot of your plans were nixed due to the pandemic. I'm 33 this year too, and honestly, I've slow down my travel speed too. I used to go gungho on the cheapest travel, but these days, I'm just more comfortable with the basic comforts.

😭 that hit me like a brick wall, my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2019 aswell...it sucks arse seeing someone you love go through it but she's doing well. The second she's through it I'm taking her to whatever country she wants to enjoy herself. All the best for your mother too x

First off, I'm so happy that your mom is getting better, and I hope and pray that she'll fully win her fight. My mom is a breast cancer survivor, so when Alex mentioned your mom's diagnosis in Part 2 of the Kilimanjaro series, it hit home for me even though I was only 6 when my mom diagnosed and thankfully have no memory of her going through treatment. In June 2018, she underwent genetic testing for the BRCA gene, and thankfully she doesn't have it which means I don't have it (I was only gonna undergo testing myself if she tested positive, but since she tested negative, there's no need for me to do so). However, because my mom was only 39 when she was diagnosed, I had to start getting mammograms early because I'm at high risk based on having a close relative diagnosed before age 45. Now onto your channel: I came across your channel in the summer of 2018 when I was watching videos on how to survive long haul flights and combat jet lag in preparation for my first trip to Europe that fall. Fast forward to a few months later and I watched Alex's video on turning 30 since I was dreading my own 30th birthday that was fast approaching and was trying to get rid of my insecurities. After that, I watched a few of your videos and then subscribed. I have been able to not only get a glimpse of what it's like visiting the destinations that I really want to go to one day but also discover more places that caught my interest and that I added to my bucket list. I also follow both of your personal profiles in addition to the profile for the channel so I can see what you guys are up to. I can't wait to see what's next and best of luck to both of you.

Mothers are the best. My mom has an MRI in 2 years, to see if she has dementia. I love my mom more than anything. So I am not handling it well but I know I need to live my life. So I am going out of my comfort zone and going to Europe in May/June with my boyfriend and Dad. Thanks for giving inspiration to me to see more of this huge world. Tbh for me, you two are the best creative storytellers I've ever come across with especially when I watch your videos about going to countries that are not popular tourist spots especially with the Uzbekistan videos, they're amazing, it makes me wanna book a flight instantly to go there. I'm 33 this year too, and honestly, I've slow down my travel speed too. I used to go gungho on the cheapest travel, but these days, I'm just more comfortable with the basic comforts.

😭 that hit me like a brick wall, my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2019 aswell...it sucks arse seeing someone you love go through it but she's doing well. The second she's through it I'm taking her to whatever country she wants to enjoy herself. All the best for your mother too x

First off, I'm so happy that your mom is getting better, and I hope and pray that she'll fully win her fight. My mom is a breast cancer survivor, so when Alex mentioned your mom's diagnosis in Part 2 of the Kilimanjaro series, it hit home for me even though I was only 6 when my mom diagnosed and thankfully have no memory of her going through treatment. In June 2018, she underwent genetic testing for the BRCA gene, and thankfully she doesn't have it which means I don't have it (I was only gonna undergo testing myself if she tested positive, but since she tested negative, there's no need for me to do so). However, because my mom was only 39 when she was diagnosed, I had to start getting mammograms early because I'm at high risk based on having a close relative diagnosed before age 45.
Now onto your channel: I came across your channel in the summer of 2018 when I was watching videos on how to survive long haul flights and combat jet lag in preparation for my first trip to Europe that fall. Fast forward to a few months later and I watched Alex's video on turning 30 since I was dreading my own 30th birthday that was fast approaching and was trying to get rid of my insecurities. After that, I watched a few of your videos and then subscribed. I have been able to not only get a glimpse of what it's like visiting the destinations that I really want to go to one day but also discover more places that caught my interest and that I added to my bucket list. I also follow both of your personal profiles in addition to the profile for the channel so I can see what you guys are up to. I can't wait to see what's next and best of luck to both of you.

Mothers are the best. My mom has an MRI in 2 years, to see if she has dementia. I love my mom more than anything. So I am not handling it well but I know I need to live my life. So I am going out of my comfort zone and going to Europe in May/June with my boyfriend and Dad.
