I stayed in Québec for 5 weeks in a french language program (best thing I ever did for myself) and Chocolat Favoris is ICONIC for their dipped cones. Can't miss it in Québec
Hi. I'm headed to Quebec City this fall. Hopefully, le Chocolat Favoris will still be serving ice cream. Is it in Old Quebec or outside the walls in St-Roch or St-Jean-Baptiste, or elsewhere?
Mariposa Papillon there’s one on the corner of avenue Cartier and René-Lévesque, or else there’s one in charlesbourg which is a little further but totally worth it if you wan to experience the original look of chocolat favoris! They serve ice cream 365 days a year now, so don’t worry you’ll be able to taste it!! 😋
My ancestors are from Québec since 1618. My ancestors were coureurs des bois and lumberjacks. There is a reason why Québécois are hard fighters for the culture and heritage. Your videos represent exactly why we are figthing. Quebec city and old Quebec city are absolutly georgous and rich of culture. I want to thank you for the amazing job you guys did to fully represent the culture and heritage of Québec. I'm so glad to see the restaurant from Wendake "La Traite" It's an amazing place were two cultures are mixed and represent exactly both cultures. And also shows how Quebecois and natives did great things together.I hope you had a great time in Québec. Thank you. I know I'm 7 years late but I had to leave a comment. At first, I taught to leave a comment in french but you paid so much respect to Québec that I used my best english to pay YOU my respect. So sorry for the mistakes. Lol
This video ruled our first visit to Quebec City. Can't thank you enough for sharing all these amazing spots and allowing us to have one of the best dining/food experience vacations ever. There are so many options in and around the city but you're reviews talked us into finding the best. So excited to come back and continue to follow your advice. So good! Thanks again!!
I work at L’Atelier, we serve a whole bunch of tourists every year from around the world. I personnally love chatting with all kinds of people. Make sure to stop by for a tartare and a cocktail if you guys come in town! Great video, guys. Thanks for honoring our fellow restaurent employees and owners, we have great places to visit in the city.
It's good to see people come here and enjoy our city, food, lifestyle, history, nature and culture! Even living here, we can't know about everything that exists, so even myself I learned some things during the series
As a Canadian I have been to Quebec city 3 or 4 times but you introduced me to so many new restos to try in your series. I love that you dedicated a whole series to this unique and beautiful region of Canada. I will definitely use this series as a guide for my next visit there.
@@Unique_Entertainment hum in the city or the provinces of quebec? cuz their is a lot of restaurent, bar, ect, serving all kind of food. My advice is no matter where you go just do some research on internet and try the website groupon to have discount on very good place. With all that i wish you beaucoup de chance et des plats savoureux. VIVE LA POUTINE !
WOW ! you nailed it. As a Quebec city foodie for 35 years, you are the first review/video I see about the city that really go to the trendy and best places. Félicitations !
The only one you missed is IX pour Bistro, which is probably the best food in Quebec City but you have to book 2-3 months in advance. Only nine tables, two employees, incredible experience.
Not a huge foodie but still clicked just to hang with you guys for a bit. You have very quickly become my favorite travel channel. So much amazing content and beautiful shots!
vagabrothers I love whole, especially when you were in the helicopter, your hand surrounded by woods, the pic is very awesome❤️ Hopefully, can see more your videos soon.
Bros, you aced the gastronomic tour of Quebec City like no other vloggers have. Awesome! I'm a poutine fiend, so I must mention how you did Le Snack Bar St-Jean proud! I first ate there after bumping into it (on rue St-Jean) while still outside the walls of Old Quebec, en route to my hotel located on Cap Diamont. It was plus tard on a snowy March night, 2015. As I sank my teeth into the chewylicious cheese curds of what I *thought* would be an appetizer for my juicy burger (I mean, poutine has fries, right?), I knew I had come upon someplace special. Mmmm ... the splash of brown gravy on my palate as the fries became one with the cheese. Oh-la-la-la! (The WiFi was great in the joint, too.) Not so stuffed by the time I had trekked through snow up two slippery hills (one with less gradation around the bend from the other, steeper hill -- and so glad you mention the workout of Quebec City's geography [geology?]), I returned to my grande dame of a hotel. (Let's just say it was a milestone b'day. No pun there on the powder room fixture.) After heaving through the revolving doors, I mentioned where I'd just come from to the two remaining staff -- a bellman and a front-desk clerk -- who were trying not to yawn "Bonne nuit," but wound up apologizing ("Desolee," the woman behind the desk said). At hearing "Le Snack Bar," they both perked up and congratulated me on enjoying poutined like a local. Needless to say, I couldn't sleep without first taking an antacid, but that's my fault for pairing poutine with a burger. Poutine is meant to eat solo. Well, downed with a bev of choice. Ashton's just isn't my speed in the serving:price ratio. Le Snack Bar St-Jean balances servings, quality AND price. Vivre la poutine! Vivre le Quebec!
We've moved to Montreal few months ago and we've been at La Buche because of your previous video. After this one we'll surely spend more and more weekends on the railroad to Quebec City!!
have been out of touch with you guys' content for quite a while because of how busy i am with school, but this video made me remember why i clicked subscribe in the first place! i just clicked the bell to make sure i don't forget about you guys again ;-)
I was in Quebec City for the festival and I can't believe I didn't see you guys at The falls or around town! Glad I planned an itinerary that was up to vagastandards
I've been watching you guys for a couple years and it's been so lovely to see your channel grow recently, congrats on breaking 400k, can't wait for 500k and eventually a million! 😊
I live in Québec City and I have a long distance relationship with a guy in Spain. And your Québec videos are sooooo good. They are like how i see my city. So i had to share all of them and that new Québec series we were like 2 kids waiting for the next episode! haha I like them... but he loves them and he's just falling in love with the place until he can come here and visit me. Then i saw you guys when to Bicep B.B.Q... it's like right next to where i live. If i had knew i would have met you guys to thank you in person! So yeah i guess that if things go farther with that guy... we'll have to thank you guys in the future! hahah
i am simply blown away by this video, but at the same time i am sad that i am not able to go to my favorite city but anyway you guys are best travelers that i now wish you all the best
Hey guys! I've lived in Quebec City for 2 years now and I've really enjoyed your QC series! I literally just yesterday was out biking and passed by Biceps BBQ. I could see it was a BBQ joint but my eye was more drawn to it being a slightly-out-of-place shack. Coincidence? I think not! It's been added to my list of places to hit up! :)
It was originally a pizza shack called Gerry Pizza. My parents used to go there when they were in their 20's and the Bicep BBQ acquired it when Gerry took is retirment. The new owners did a lot of work to adapt it for their need but they kept all the original "design" of the place. Vincent, Jean-Simon and their team are dining war machines! And I'm going there for dinner next saturday for the fifth time woot woot!! Thanks for the nice video in our beautiful city :)
I'm surprised you didn't tried Le Ciel Bistro-bar at the top of the Concorde Hotel . You have a great view high above the city, and the restaurant slowly spins, so the view changes as you eat and drink . And next time you come to Wendake, (btw I was part of the team that built the long house and I was really proud and happy when I saw your reaction on the other video . Thank you guys :) ) you should try the restaurant La Sagamite . You will be amazed by the potence meal, sagamite soup and banique bread :)
Love the video ! So weird to see you guys in my hometown haha, me and my friends (of which we actually see one at 1:18) use to get fucked up in in this little hidden parc they show at 0:40. And btw I probably served you that poutine at Snack Bar St-Jean.
Thank you guys for these respectful and very nice videos. So nice to see these open minded american, opening to different culture and embarrass differences! Good job!
Le Cochon Dingue (translates as "Crazy Pig"), with several locations in Quebec City, serves up hearty comfort food at pretty decent prices. Portions are filling without being huge-as-in-U.S.-portions (which sometimes can be enough for three people). For le dejeuner - lunch -- I've been to Le Cochon Dingue on the oldest street in North America: rue Petit-Champlain. Yes, it's on that touristy but quite picturesque row of boutiques, artisan shops (including the only shop -- les Qiseaux [quelques chose] -- in North America where I buy my sterling silver jewelry) and plenty of restos. However, that doesn't mean you can't have a true and truly delicieux Quebecois meal. I enjoyed, without being rushed out, two hours at le Cochon for a Quebecois staple such as pea soup; a French classic, steak au poivre (avec frites); and les mignardises (what les Quebecois call tiny sample portions of les desserts -- so I had a sampling of three including my fave: chocolate mousse). Filled to my belly like a "crazy pig," I skipped my content self out the door and onto le boulevard Champlain, where I walked over to le Vieux-Port (the Old Port) and watched ice floes drift up the St. Lawrence River. That trip was in March 2015, the same week that I had dined late-night at Le Snack Bar St-Jean outside the walls in le Haute-Ville (the Upper Town).

I am living in Quebec city and you showed some of the best restaurants/cafes in the city. I would totally suggest those places to tourists since a lot of locals are going to those places. Good job ! :)
You guys did a great job! I've been living in Quebec City for 15 years now and I am impressed how you covered so much of what we have to offer. Lots of relatively new places (Battuto, Maelstrom, bicep BBQ) and locations outside of the old city where "tourist traps" are teeming. Of course you could do another 20 restaurants all of them of the highest quality such as the Laurie Raphael, Ix for Bistro, Le Saint -Amour and Le Continental or cool hip place like Le Pied Bleu and Kraken Kru. I didn't care much for the Poutine recommendation, the Snack Bar is alright but I would've recommended a more typical place like Chez Gaston. Come back again next year ;)
Wow, i'm proud of this magnificent video of my own city. The picture is incredible. I really like your topo. I got 3 more restaurants for you.. The Cosmos, Shaker Cuisine & Mixologie and Le Galopin. Thanks you guys.

The closest Chocolat Favoris to le Vieux-Québec is the one on Boulevard René-Lévesque, near Avenue Cartier.
Mariposa Papillon Chocolat Favoris is open all year long. :)
Tram Nguyen yassss!!! Chocolat favori is the best but you must go to the one in Levis or charlesbourg to get the original look of chocolat favori!!
