Being a Canadian who lives here, Quebec City is one of our favourite places to visit, its been a few years,
its a 10 hour drive for us but we used to visit all the time when our children were younger. It is hard not
to fall in love with this place, i find it very European. Its a special place and i am so happy you loved it
there. Looking forward to your next videos on the British Isles.

Now you need to go to Montreal, my home city. It’s not as historic as Quebec City but you have the “old Montreal” and then boom! The city becomes alive with a wild life, a bit like NewYork

There is a serious error concerning the citadel, first no citadel isn't a walled city, it's a fortress, always was. Citadel is just another word for fort. The therm for a walled city is bourg (burg) (as in bourgeois who are the inhabitants of walled city)

Little comment. If you ask for Château Fairmont, there's chances that people don't know what you're talking about. The initial name is: Château Frontenac, in honor of Louis de Buade de Frontenac who battled to defend Quebec city, notably in 1690. Later on, once Fairmont Hotels and Resorts started managing it (not the owners), they've put their brand name in front of it. Becoming Fairmont Le Château Frontenac. But it's better known as "Château Frontenac", and more historically meaningful.

And, we don't have "providences", we have PROVINCES... (I'm not ticked off, just saying in a friendly way, I hope...)
BTW: Quebec has been mostly an agnostic and atheist place since the quiet revolution of the 1960s (basically from 95% church attendance, to less than 10%, all of the churches are being sold to make condos, old age homes, libraries, or bars, and restaurants.. So we REALLY don't have any providence here...

Quebec City is a tourist destination, so you should have no problem having a bilingual menu and being served in English in the touristic areas (ex.: Old Town, Place Royale/Old Port, Parliament Hill). If you end up in the suburbs though, being served in English is still highly possible but menus might be just in French

This accordion music whenever there's a "French" destination is unsufferable! I know it's not your fault that it's overused, but I wish people would stop being so cliché. There is some very good folk Québécois or even Acadian tunes that would have been a lot more convivial that the darned accordions.

In french we don't call those "french toasts". They are called "pain doré", which can be translated to golden bread

Yeah, like the other poster wrote, it's the English speakers who call it French toast. In Québec, we call it "pain doré" (golden bread) and in France, it is "pain perdu" (lost bread).

be careful going here! I departed my cruiseship shortly after a monster breakfast to explore the city. My wife and I opted for a french style coffee in town. Within seconds, I ran to the men's room and barely made it to the toilette (they spell it different like in Canada). I must have shaken the city with the blasts the come from inside me. I was sweaty. I then got out of there after 15 minutes! So, beware of the coffee, french style in particular, for it may run through you like a hot knife. I never seemed right on the ship after that. every evening, I had issues.
