Being a Canadian who lives here, Quebec City is one of our favourite places to visit, its been a few years, its a 10 hour drive for us but we used to visit all the time when our children were younger. It is hard not to fall in love with this place, i find it very European. Its a special place and i am so happy you loved it there. Looking forward to your next videos on the British Isles.
Now you need to go to Montreal, my home city. It’s not as historic as Quebec City but you have the “old Montreal” and then boom! The city becomes alive with a wild life, a bit like NewYork
Moved from Arizona to Montreal 20 years ago as a kid. I do Quebec City in the summer and winter every year. Good call on La Buche. Maybe try le continental next time you visit. An old Anthony Bourdain fave
Quebec City is amazing. I was there from October 2 to October 6. Gorgeous weather, colours and attractions. The Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac is a such a beautiful historic hotel.
I’ve been watching through a lot of cruise videos for New England itineraries, and have somehow kept coming back to you guys at each port. New subscriber for sure, love your guys’ energy!
Glad you liked my home town!!! You should come back around Christmas time. It's not that cold and everything is decorated. There is also a German Christmas market going on in the Old City. You would love it for sure!
@@ginamarie8231 Thank you! You are welcom anytime! And there is more than the Christmas Market! The Chateau Frontenac is beautiful inside and out. Plus, the Petit Champlain is magical with all its Christmas decorations!

Quebec City is enormously underrated, and you didn't even make it to the Montmorency waterfall! There's a restaurant that makes their own incredible gin, and you'll never forget the taste of the peppercorn poutines at the bottom of the funicular. Definitely worth a visit!
There is a serious error concerning the citadel, first no citadel isn't a walled city, it's a fortress, always was. Citadel is just another word for fort. The therm for a walled city is bourg (burg) (as in bourgeois who are the inhabitants of walled city)

Hi guys! Studying up for our trip in September 2024. What did you guys do with your luggage so you could explore? Plus how did you get to the airport? Thanks for the info! Great video! 😊
Little comment. If you ask for Château Fairmont, there's chances that people don't know what you're talking about. The initial name is: Château Frontenac, in honor of Louis de Buade de Frontenac who battled to defend Quebec city, notably in 1690. Later on, once Fairmont Hotels and Resorts started managing it (not the owners), they've put their brand name in front of it. Becoming Fairmont Le Château Frontenac. But it's better known as "Château Frontenac", and more historically meaningful.
Fun fact... It's the CHEAPEST major Canadian city to rent in... And, we don't have "providences", we have PROVINCES... (I'm not ticked off, just saying in a friendly way, I hope...) BTW: Quebec has been mostly an agnostic and atheist place since the quiet revolution of the 1960s (basically from 95% church attendance, to less than 10%, all of the churches are being sold to make condos, old age homes, libraries, or bars, and restaurants.. So we REALLY don't have any providence here... I like your videos, nice and friendly... And Moosehead smells like skunk but tastes very nice, I like it too... be careful going here! I departed my cruiseship shortly after a monster breakfast to explore the city. My wife and I opted for a french style coffee in town.
