    Very nice vblog, brings back a few memories. Thank you. A few comments from a former local that grew up in Dorchester. Pronounced - Fanueil (Fan-yule) Hall. That corn dog is not Boston but I'm glad you enjoyed it. Little Italy is New York, you're in the North End. When eating a long pasta, a big spoon to help twirl it on your fork is helpful. A ferry ride to the USS Constitution is worth a visit. Ask the people on the ship about how many "engagements" the ship was in. There's a 3rd pastry place called Bova's in addition to Mike's and Modern. Bova's has been a a few movies. A walk through the Boston (now called TD) Garden is worth a visit. If you want to check out a lot of shopping in a concentrated area, try the Prudential Center. A block over is Newbury Street. No chowder or fried Ipswich clams? Anyway, looking forward to your other reviews, We're planning to do this itinerary next year.

    Here in Boston, we call it the North End. But everything else was great. I honestly think my favorite view of the city is out there on the waterfront and looking back towards the city.

    I remember after I posted on the other video, you can book a day trip to Martha Vineyards they will pick you up at your hotel take you to Cape Cod and you get on a ferry to Martha's Vineyard. Then they will bring you back to your hotel when you are finished it is well worth it.

      Also a couple of corrections. One, it’s the North End NOT. little Italy. Two, Mikes is trash and a tourist trap. Modern is good but there are more. There is Bova’s Pastry which is my favorite and then Maria’s (not sure it’s still open.

    • @rebeccalyons1327
      @rebeccalyons1327 Год назад +1

      We did that cruise last year on NCL Pearl. Sailaway from Boston Harbor was so pretty. If you go to Bermuda first then you will do customs in Maine before you get off. It took a long time and Bar Harbor was a tender port. Not a good combo. Don’t book a non ship shore excursion if that will be your situation.

    We'll be arriving around 7 am the day before our Holland America Boston to Montreal cruise. Our hotel has luggage storage, so we'll drop them off first, and become Canuck (Georgian Bay, off of Lake Huron) tourists till check in time, a necessary nap, dinner, then if weather permits a sunset boat tour. Any suggestions on some high octane coffee (we'll definitely need it). Great video guys! I'm even more ready for this trip in June.

    Love when you guys visit Boston because you are so positive about the experience. As others have said, it's the North End and not Little Italy. Around the corner from Bell in Hand and Green Dragon is the Union Oyster House which is the oldest continuously operating restaurant in America. I love Sam's Pumpkin beer, but my favorite is the Pumpkinhead Ale from Shipyard Brewing and I believe their brewery is in Portland (Maine) if your cruise stops there instead of Bar Harbor (probably moot point because I'm sure you're well past that in real time). Also, Boston is one of the windiest cities in America; make sure your hat is secure :). Enjoy the rest of the cruise!

    Where do people get the idea that locals refer to it as “Baahston”? Seriously. WTF? Also no local would be caught dead referring to the city as “beantown” Boston Baked Beans haven’t been baked in Boston in over a hundred years.
    We’re not as “cold” a city as people think. We are very welcoming of visitors and the hundred + thousand students who come to Boston each year. If we are cold we are cold to other locals. Because having been born and raised here we should know better. In the snow all wheel drive is not the same as Four Wheel Drive. Karens are not suffered here. A woman who gets insanely irate because kids are playing street hockey five houses down is liable to be treated very very rudely. Getting a foot of snow overnight is no reason to rush to stop and shop and buy 6 gallons of milk and 12 loaves of bread. No matter what the weather girl from Miami says.
    But visitors? You are very welcome here. We’re glad you took a chance on us.
