There are many, many versions, for many, many ensembles - all made by Part himself…but here, one is moved & carried away by the still coldness of a perfect string arrangement… Someone close to me heard this for the first time today - it’s sampled on Nick Cave’s album ‘Carnage’ - I directed my friend to ‘Fratres’, after a friendly argument…he is bowled over - ‘like someone cutting glass’ was all he could say…& actually, when I first heard this piece on the radio, I thought it was called ‘Fir trees’- the image of a frosted glade of trees - the still, cold silence - was almost overwhelming… ‘Fratres’ - I think it means ‘Brothers’, & Aarvo Part’s deep , even dangerous - devotion is in every phrase, AND every mesmerising silence! Blessed Be, Maestro: Heaven bless you & keep you safe! 🙏🏻💔🙏🏽
@VB: I do listen to ‘modern trash’ when the mood takes me/there are boring things to do: But the stillness & beauty of ‘Fratres’ has my heart… So glad that I’m alive to witness this live perfection! 🙏🏻💔🙏🏽
At this terrifyingly wobbly era in our collective human journey, Pärt's "Fratres" is a like a timeless salve, from a better kind of spirit. Thanks
I was fortunate enough to become aware of this musical monument at a very early time. Thanks indeed.

💙💙
Mit dieser Aufnahme ist ein Gesamtkunstwerk gelungen!
On Earth, ONLY ONE Composer can STOP THE TIME - A. Part.
Erdet ungemein.
Words fail; this music goes straight to the soul.
Masterpiece.
Oh my word, I love this piece so much. Further words just fall short.
Großartige Musik, wunderbar gespielt, bin begeistert und bedanke mich 😮
What a beautiful composition!
Two comments now: I feel stunned by listening to this work of art.
This is how deep music can go. crossing all borders!
Opening unknown dimensions and making distance irrelevant.
I am immersed in this piece, it reaches my soul
A wordless prayer.
A wonderful complement to Fantasia on a Theme of Thomas Tallis by Ralph Vaughan Williams
And Beethoven's "Heiliger Dankgesang".
Tout à fait ...
Goosebumps!
sublime ! musique de l'âme
Fratres, genauso 😮😊😄
The Sound of Silence.
A bit simple
Now THAT is how to do a concert. Engaging atmosphere without marginalizing the orchestra.
Unnecessary percussion breaks the feel
No one answered to your comment, and I am glad about that. Sorry, that I could not resist.

Çoğunluğa hitap eden bir iş iyi değildir.
For something supreme like this music comments are arguably superfluous.
Is Arvo sad about the our direction? Are we lost souls. Such melancholy from a devout Christian. Its actually heartbreaking.
Sublime.
❤❤❤ Genius…Merci…Arvo ! 🙏👏❤️🎼❤️💫💫💫💫
Apresentação fantástica! Trabalho Maravilhoso!! Bravíssimo!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Good
...Stunning.
I like the melody, and how it is turned, over and over. The metaphysics in this maybe will be clear when you dont even listen to this music
The Talent that God gave Arvo Pärt is mindblowing, praise be God for His endless wisdom.
Let me say that I fully agree with your words
Belíssimo! Imprescindível!
Tolle Inszenierung.
14k of views. While the modern trash like Bieber, Kanye West and alike get millions ....

Arvo Pärt is a contemporary composer, so why would you call them "modern" and not him?
I love this but I also love stuff like Massive Attack - Paradise Circus (Zeds Dead Remix).
