I find this music reverberates in my spirit as I begin my day, awakens the longing and hope for eternal life in the home of God's presence. I'm so thankful for the priceless gift of Arvo Part sharing this with the world.
There's a sinister beauty in Arvo Pärt, his music communicates so many rich emotions regarding humanity's relationship with nature and religion. I always experience strange feelings of loneliness, loss and contemplation while I listen to his work.
These feelings are definitely there. Some people prefer not to confront them by choice, thus turn away perhaps to come back later. These feelings are in the surface of the music I think, or something that is being poked the first. It's hard to accept loss, loneliness, failure etc. Once I accept these inconvenient truths in myself, in the world, in the moment, without judgement.... the room clears for hope, forgiveness and sanctuary for silence and clarity of mind resides.
That's my kind of church, it's good to know such providence came to us at the recent year of 1990, it makes me feel the world is not so lost as it seems to be.
Yes this is worship music to me. Providence? Would you care to elaborate?( curiously with respect) The beginning of Estonian/ baltic states independence? Restructuring of Germany/ europe? Or something Arvo Pärt related? Or something else?
@@Jeweliedear something Arvo Pärt related, such music surely saved the souls of many listeners, specially in a time where atheism began to grow so large.
@@eldacorrales851 I'm able to enjoy the music, read the comments and answer to a comment using a term I don't agree with. I don't use music to turn off my mind.
I first heard this by surprise, sung liturgically in St Martin-in-the-Fields, London, 1997. WHAT an experience. !!! I was removed to another place..... totally zenned [and it was a midday Wednesday Mass with a full church] Eight choral scholars with organ.
Quelle beauté et quelle grâce dans cette œuvre. A travers cela on peut sentir l’Amour de l’invisible et sa présence. Comment un tel homme si humble ,si discret peut parvenir à créer de telles choses, sans être « guidé » ?
The version I have is much better. This one is a just a little too heavy in the tone and approach. I think mine is the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber choir and they always do a bang up job of Pärt's work.
If yoy have the whole album, and listen to all the songs, pick out all the songs with the quiet choirs... it can be a funeral song list as well. Speaking from experience...
My only complaint about this work is that the Agnus Dei needs to be MUCH longer. How can Pärt give us such a beautiful song and cut it so short?? It's is cruel and unusual punishment!!
It's just a nugget of perfection that leaves you wanting more - just like all those great little two and a half minute gems from the Beatles. IMO there's way too much art music the days that drags on for far too long, causing the listener to gradually lose interest, anyway.
Not for me and Arvo Pärt. His Salve Regina is one of my favorite all time choral songs and it clocks in at over 12 minutes and it is still not long enough for me.
Se parece mucho a la misa en Latin o tridentina con coros y organo antes de la reforma y prohibición del papa Pablo sexto en 1969 y dando fin al Concilio vaticano segundo 1963-1965 iniciado por su antecesor el papa Juan 23

How disrespectful of ARVO PART and MUSIC can You BE?! The sole purpose of you posting this is to make money for Yourself, not to share this awesome piece of music.
This has noting to do with me. RUclips has placed and control the ads. You would need to purchase their music service to have them removed. They do this in order to motivate you to purchase the service. I earn nothing from this RUclips channel nor would I if you purchased their music service.

Arvo Part’s music is a portal to see the world from a higher perspective.
It's very true, his music is reaching into the depth of our emotional core. It's even devastating at times.

I am just now discovering the genius of Arvo Part. I have missed so much, trying to catch up.
Agnus Dei on my funeral...
When going from minor to major, such an epic transition!!!
This is truly divine. It speaks to my soul
Agree ❤
Arvo Part’s music is a reminder that once upon a time all songs were sang in worship of an almighty creator of the universe.
Someone told me that Beethoven said that music is the language of God.
Magnifique. Sublime. Quel talent. Quelle inspiration. Merci pour ce partage.
Oui les anges sont dans sa musique et on a bien besoin des anges aujourd'hui..... S'ils existent !!!!!
3:00 wow. I could not help but visualize the birth of a solar system.
Wanda's scene from age of ultron with this music was beautiful.
Not a lot of people know, that this was in it! ;)
You're right, this music was used in "AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON" it reminds me of the death of Pietro (Quicksilver).😢

Great during the Covid crisis, comforting to hear so many voices singing together in such lonely, isolated times.
this is not the covid crisis. this is the fake pharma-industry-wanted-crisis, which hides the immense crisis of the capitalism we're living in

Having heard Spivakov as young stud violinist, I had no idea he had such depth as a conductor. Bravo.

Pärts music is inspired by angels....
No, I think its more the reverse.
No, I think that it speaks for ordinary folk.
We can say that. And we can say that Arvo Part is in an Angelic state when writing music and is inspired by God.
Thom - You hit the nail on the head!!
I say Arvo Pärt is a mysic.
Lying in bed with headphones in the dead of night. 3:00 put the fear of God in me. What immediately followed then put the love of God in me.
