Lovely work. I think shows more maturity and ingenuity than his slightly earlier violin concerto. Too bad he didn't write more concertos later in his lifetime. Thanks for sharing this performance!

Henri-Joseph Rigel (1741-1799) may have decided to move Paris after 1767 but he was still German-born at Wertheim-am-Main - he wrote at least 16 operas in the stile of Gluck & at least 6 sacred oratorios & concerti for various instruments along with 12 string quartets & violin sonatas & at least 25 Sinfonias - thankfully most of his music has surviv’d - so he is a late 18th century contemporary of Mozart & Haydn very much worth listening-to and studying !!
