I've had lots of trouble getting puff to come out right. I've tried StarCraft 3D Puff and WalaKUT Puff at various temps and pressures, but always my result is wrinkled-not lusciously puffed like in your video. I've finally come to the realization that it may be the pad/mat on my lower heat press platen. I have a cotton-like stiff pad stacked under a blue spongey pad, but in every video like this that I watch, it's a more standard thick foam silicone pad. So I just ordered one on Amazon for $25. 🤞
There is a good video on RUclips I watched that described the most accurate way to use a thermal infrared thermometer to read either a heat press or an EasyPress. Essentially you have to use the product (close the press or start a 30sec timer on EasyPress) and quickly read the temperature immediately after lifting. Simply scanning the hot surface without using it first will give an inaccurate reading, especially with a teflon cover. Using this you can find where exactly you should set your device to achieve the required 275, 285, or 305 temp for WalaKUT Puff. My cheap knockoff press needs to be set to 340°F to achieve a true 275°F press for neon puff. Once that is figured out, pressure is vital. With an EasyPress, try without a press pillow, just flat on a hard heat-resistant surface like a table. Press hard and try not to move for full 10 sec. With my clamshell, I had to ensure the top and lower platens were closing flat, creating a solid and even press. This required continuing to use two pads on my lower platen. Here was the final secret for me, personally: the top spongey pad that came with my heat press was too soft for the pressure I needed. I bought a $25 silicone foam pad on Amazon and swapped out my spongey one-so I still have two pads to achieve the proper height-and this new dense pad solved my wrinkling problem entirely! Now I'm puffin' all day n night 😎
Hello!! I recently just got into pressing tshirts and I am using the WalaPuff White. Every time I press the puff, it comes out wrinkled. I used a teflon paper as well and still comes out wrinkled. Heat is at 285°F for 10-12 seconds (which is what states on the website). Does anyone have a solution for puff to not become wrinkled?

This is the heat press we used: www.heattransferwarehouse.com/walapress-drawer-clam-15x15-heat-press/ Which is best will depend on what you're doing and what you're budget is. We carry different kinds of presses for just about whatever you're needs are.
if you are having problems with wrinkles, that means the temperature is too hot. Press a test piece at 10 degrees lower than what you're currently doing. Keep bringing the temp down until it has the right texture.

Having the same problem! It either wrinkles and waves or it comes out squiggly (like a brain texture) 😓
@@LEXIDIMPLES93 i've had that problem and i just increased the pressure.. so u might be having a pressure problem
Good afternoon and awesome tutorial... 😀
Thanks so much
Great informative video! How well does it hold for washing purposes?
The washing tests we have done so far have come back with great results.
So this is what your website instructions say ( 305°F or 290°F for White 275°F for Pink) So what about the other colors?
all other colors are pressed at 305 F
Nice!
Edges aren't staying down. I increased temp and tried to press harder (even got my bf to help) and it's not sticking. advice? did I mess up?

Do you mirror the image in your cutting program?
Yes.
What is wrapped arount the upper plate of your heat press? I am so tired of you using parchment paper, teflon sheets, etc. Please help!
its a teflon cover. Sounds like it will be perfect for what you need: www.heattransferwarehouse.com/heat-press-upper-platen-covers/

what heat press are y’all using? also, what heat press do y’all recommend?

please help .. I did this. Looked fine. But when washed the puff came apart =(
Oh no! This is the first time I’ve heard of it and was about to order. But I don’t need any if it washes out that easily. Waiting on reply.
oh no! can you tell me what time, temp, and pressure you were using when you pressed it?
My heat press only goes to 250 degrees. Is that hot enough for puff?
In most cases this will not be enough heat you can certainly try it.
Is it supposed to wrinkle when it puffs? I keep having that problem

Can you use this puff vinyl with a Cricut 2 heat press?
Yes you can. Just cut it like you would any other HTV.
@@HeatTransferWarehouse but shiny side up with your brand?? Other brands are shiny side down.
Does this work on socks?
Be worth a try.
I used my cricut heat press for 275 for 10 seconds and it keeps wrinkling :/
Try turning your press down 10 degrees and test it out again.
Do you mirror? You didn't mention that.
Yes! You should mirror before cutting this HTV 😆
@@HeatTransferWarehouse Thank you! Loved yor video.
y’all forgot to mention pressure !
Medium pressure will be best for WALAKut puff
