Been around since 1985....NOOOOOO. Invented in 1885 but available for sale in 1905! I have had mine since 1974. Still as PERFECT as the day that I first bought it.
@K B Johnson Baby Shampoo 1 x per week. The handle and back of brush is still glossy and the nylon and bristles are perfect. The rubber base (where the bristles and nylon are inserted) is still soft and pliable. My first brush cost me 6 pounds Sterling. That will tell you what things cost back in the early 70s!
I finally gave in and bought mine...$200! It was sooooo worth it! I never knew there could be so much difference in "good" hairbrush. I've just started my hair growth journey, so I'm hoping I will be at waist length for the holidays next yr. Advice I would give to anyone trying to grow healthier hair would be 1. Mason Pearson brush 2. Silk pillowcase, silk bonnet, and silk scrunched 3. sulfate free shampoo, conditioner 4. Only wash your hair once a wk....or longer I wish I would have learned these vital tips earlier in life! Love your review of the brush!
Ami, I feel you on the luxury of getting the MP brush! 🤩 Seems like the Olivia Garden brush helped get your hair in great glorious shape though! Also brushing technique matters. I detangle my long hair from bottom up using my nylon/boar hairbrush. Holding hair midway while detangling ends helps prevent breakages. Once the tangles are out I do the long brushing strokes from roots downwards. Gotta brush every night, lovely scalp exfoliation & massage and conditions hair. The nylon/boar bristles combo work great for my hair, wet & dry. I have an MP dupe hairbrush, cost £10 in 2018. There are lots of well-established hair brush brands who make similar brushes. People with budget issues can still get an awesome brush 🥰 Take care Sweetie 😍
I had no idea that costco sold some Mason Pearson brushes. Def gonna check it out. EDIT: Costco says since they are not an authorized distributor of the brush that the Mason Pearson warranty wont apply. They will refund the price if you aren't happy though.
Where is the Famous AVEDA Paddle Brush? & Where is the Harry Josh Brush??? Please do comparisons with all this Great 4 products please do updates video of this..
Bottom up Babe!, Bottom up! Start Brushing from Bottom to the top, always. Never just start ripping through your hair from the top down. I promise you’ll see results just by doing that, WAY less breakage. The goal is to not hear or feel knots being ripped out of your hair. Once all the tangles are out, then brush from top to bottom. ❤
my hair sheds like a molisk, and my hair is super fine, even though I have short hair. I found if you not sure how long you will want or have your hair over time, get the medium. my grandmother has had hers since they opened it deftinly is a worth while investment!
Hi! Costco might no longer be selling Mason Pearson - sometimes Costco only carries things for a short time. But I did check to see if I could find the brush on sale and I noticed that Bloomingdales has 20% off site wide that can be applied on the brush www.bloomingdales.com/shop/product/mason-pearson-junior-mixture-brush?ID=2982569&pla_country=US&cm_mmc=Google-PLA-ADC-_-tROAS_FOB_Campaign-_-home-_-24932400554USA&gclid=CjwKCAjwkJj6BRA-EiwA0ZVPVv7zPfVO1pWjA4R0xXuoGbg6C8WMIAW7Kprn9SnC9BZMnChjc-7RThoCCTcQAvD_BwE hope this helps❤️
Wow, Thank you so much!! rn I am doing a lot of hair oil mask and also weekly using the Moroccan Oil intense hydrating masque, I love it ❤️ And sometimes I switch it up and use the Olaplex 3 Hair Mask.
Hair on the left has a different cut and looks oily and would make look more flat .Hair the the right looks freshly washed and cut in a way that would make it look thicker than the highly layered oily cut on the right. You are not being honest and therefore I would not believe anything you say about the brush .
Or just buy the Olivia Garden one! I have it and it works just fine, I’ve not felt the need for that $200 one. I’d rather probably get it if I ever found it on sale, but it’s not something I’d ever pay full price for.
They last for decades if they're kept clean, well cared for, and don't soak them. So considering if you buy a $20 brush every few years, I guess this will pay for itself in its lifetime.

Exactly!! 1985...?😣
Thats what I thought too! My grand mom had one that lasted her for decades

I don’t think English is her strong point. 🤦🏻♂️

Love your tips and I agree! 💓
I had my MP brush since the 1960s, and it's still in good shape!
Wow I love that!
This may be strange, but do you recall how much it cost?

1985? Haven't they been around since the 1800's?

Wow, on the fence about buying this- not anymore.
I ve ordered the mason brush 🎉
Do you think a junior is enough for thin short straight hair? Also better size less bulk when travelling?
Yes the Junior should be fine!! I have not traveled with it yet tho 🙈
@@AmiElena Hi, yeah so I decided to get the travel one and it's perfect. It's not too small for my hair at all. Thanks.
DOes the Olivia Garden one have a pneumatic cusion also?
your hair is so pretty! what products do you use?
Wow, Thank you so much!! rn I am doing a lot of hair oil mask and also weekly using the Moroccan Oil intense hydrating masque, I love it ❤️ And sometimes I switch it up and use the Olaplex 3 Hair Mask.
let me know if your looking for specific type of product. I would love to share my recs ♥️

Wow thank you for catching that!!!

Did you get large or medium size for this?
I got the Junior brush!! hope that helps!
1800's not 1985

Just put some oil on your hair ends, doesn't justify paying 200$ plus on a brush, come on people

@@JG-ej1qg have you tried the wet brush shine enhancer one? if so wich did you prefer (comparing to Olivia Garden's)?
$200 for a brush??? Wtf 😂
And worth every penny. I have 2 both are over 20 years old and like new
@@sunny5357 Hi Sweetie, do you remember what you paid for them? Just curious 😍

You are so beautifull))))
Mason Pearson has been around since 1985?? Hmmmm.
1885*😭😂
