It was handtimed and it was outdoors so we don't know the wind count if he had ran the time indoor then yeah but it was outdoor I doubt he would run a 6.21 indoors with Lazer timinf
I'm a state champion for the discus throw in Maine, and seeing this makes me want to work 4x harder and try to do this in college. Thank you (I'm 14, still got a long way to go)

Terrific vids. I agree with others who say you could turn this into a series or a documentary because you're showing what it's really like . . Your technique is excellent and one can see why in a vid like this one . . Plus you seem to have a knack for this, telling interesting stories and the like[made me laugh] . . You can build a devoted fan base as you hone your 2nd craft here . .
Just found out ab your channel when I saw you reacting to your 9.9 100m video and I’ve watched all of your vids since man, love your videos 10/10 and Ima be up there in the future.

@@iiNspirex Indoor is only slower for distance races because theres more turns and the air is stale. For the 60 indoors, theres no turn and air doesnt matter because it's not an aerobic event.
@@ezekielanderson9055 maybe you're right. I definitely know from personal experience that some tracks are "fast" and others are "slow" (type of material and shit like that). But you're right that for the 60, it probably isn't a factor lol
Any tips on getting better with your response time? I feel like I’m delayed getting out of the blocks compared to other people and I don’t know how to improve that? Great vid!
I can help you as long as you hit me up here and respond I can help you . Because you don’t just want to do sprint training you want to do other training as well
@@Mixedjoshh yo one thing to really practice doing is 1 do explosive plyometrics that will target your accilies tendon if you make this tendon more elastic and stronger you’ll run faster. that’s when the float phase comes up when your in top speed it’s when your using this muscle The Whole time. If you also practice relaxation sprints not running at 100 percent but 70 percent and float and put the power down but don’t flex your muscles one you flex your muscles like your a mad man your wasting 50 percent of your speed . So yea man practice your relaxation. My time went from 11.6 to 11.01 in the 100 meter in 1.2 years
1) Do you guys use overspeed training? 2) Do you use freelap/other electronic timing systems? 3) What is your top speed PB? I bet you do flying 20m-30m tests 4) What is your 30m PB? (from blocks) 5) I want to know what you think about elite athletes. Sometimes I see them making really dumb mistakes and really wrong movements (tension, overpushing, leaning forwards in top speed sprinting, passive stretching before workouts, doing GYM too much so that they get negative adaptations like yeah they got stronger but they got used to slower movements, compare a squat and top speed sprinting where you have 0.08-0.09 second on the ground). How do you think they get to that level? What separates elite athletes from average ones?

The 60m work record is 6.34 seconds so i’m not sure how accurate your timing is lmao
In a race you also have reaction time, I think the clock just started when he started (so no reaction time)
might also be cuz of the track. Outdoor tracks might be faster than indoors (no 60 races in outdoors conditions)

60m in 6.21 is a world record tf
That's what I was also thinking damn , and he said he has gone faster
It‘s handstopped from the first movement. So normally you can add 0.3 to the time to have the real time. still really impressive though.
It’s because he went on his own go and he didn’t have to deal with reaction time
He said he ran an 6.08 as well which is cap

6.34 by coleman but its hand timed so not really surprising. Hand time error between 0.2-0.4s faster
