That’s why I love this hobby, you can make what ever you want your rig to look like 👍 and electronics that make it travel more realistic out on the trail🤙🏼Great job TRC😎
I like it man!! Keeping it semi stock looking is fantastic. One of my favorite rigs I’ve ever seen is one of my buddies. He used a old tin toy truck body. Like really really old. Has this best rust/patina. Looks sick.
@Tomley RC Real nice! I'm going a Gshot build myself from a newb point I was wondering if you have to get a specific skid plate to mount the Stealth X or were you able to use the one that comes in the Gshot kit? Cheers!
O man I really enjoyed this comp .. my soldering iron has bought the farm . I’ve been in the market for about three days. It was a old one old old Wooden handle old man.. i’d like to find something pretty nice for around 50to 100 bucks ..
Must have been fantastic. Looking forward to that kind of competition in Belgium or not too far (400km is ok). Are you aware of any event like this ? Thx in advance. I'll ask again in one of your most recent videos (I am a fllower, watching all your videos)
Great job on your first run and great job on your field that's awesome that people help you all need to be like every other everyday not just in RC but I do find a common theme if it is something like RC car or archery a hobby that you have a real passion for seems like people really connect no matter if they compete against each other or not
Can we get video on how you did the stance servo?!! Seriously one of the dopest things I've seen and I'm build a comp crawler and would love to have this feature❤
That looks epic buddy, I love the fact ur body is on a servo lol brilliant, im off down to Mablethorpe this weekend for 2 weeks and I'm taking my coffee cart down there if u r free let me know and I'll hopefully c y down there bro 🤙👍👊😎
@@TomleyRC well if anything changes bro hit me up and if I'm still there we will have a bash im planning a skate park bash next to captain Jack sparrow mini golf and on the beach near the seal Sanctuary as that's where my van is my stop off for a pint on the way bk in the ferry boat lol with out the misses for 5 mins peace ha ha ha
I was considering a similar idea, untill I realised I was just going to add weight with the goal of tilting something very light (the body). At which point I thought sod it leave the body up high but make it as light as possible.
Pretty cool Phil. I don't know how that adjustable stance is cheating, I think you invented a new thing for crawlers. But I don't have a crawler yet so what the heck do I know?🤪 I think the cut down Blackfoot body is really cool. Looks great.
Maybe connecting servos to the front shocks to compress and get the chassis as low as possible would give an advantage but just the shell not really 🤷♂️ awesome idea to save the body 😎 Just won a Gspeed Chassis rail kit, some no foams and a Dimond servo at the Funduro event on Saturday now I’ve got a parts list to look at thank you 🙏
I did the same thing about 4 years ago when I bought my first RC rock crawler . It is a RC4WD Lux . I lower it as far as I can get it . My friends telling me why ? They say that I dont want to do that . I told them I had my reasons to get the CG as low as possible . I told them I have a lot less chance for roll overs and tip over end over end . As they took there rigs up the sides of hills and roll over . While I take mine on the side of the hill and it would not roll . It would slip or slide like they would do but wont roll over .
That’s what it’s all about!! Customize to your liking!! But no seriously I love the 3step body clearance!!! Sort it out n patent that shit!!!😜 great driving mate 👍🏻 keep um comin!!!
Epico! I almost died laughing when I saw the snail for the first time... The second time was good too. Your rig is awesome, I am afraid to ask how much it ran you, I am inspired to make a comp rig now
You need to swap that transmission out for a 2Low. Also, plan ahead and go as fast as you can lol practice a lot to gain confidence to go fast! Great job!
That looks wicked!! 🤘🏻 I'm considering using the Paso chassis I got last week as the donor to build an lcg rig. Do you think that would work? Cheers. 🙂👍🏻
I think you maybe able to do something with it. I have a project in mind also using the Paso/OB3 chassis. It’s a bit smaller and narrower than a normal 1/10… so will be good for some ‘different’ builds
Not a fan of chopping Blackfoots love to see them left intact! Cool running footage though and nice watch dude havnt seen that model in that grey before! 😁👍
i saw that fact after i commented! 😋 great stuff! i was kinda workin on a scx24 with this specific feature but i was halted in my tracks when i had no idea how to make it work!! but then again thats what makes rc-ing sooo much fun. 😎👍

😝
Boom….😅
It's nice
Haha Kev with 1st lol boom
Hmmmm... Why does Kev's comment have the translate thingy.?
Definitely looks a lot better than other lcg bodies. Normally they look like hats on the lcg chasis, and that clearance cheat is genius.
That truck looks dope. Love the wood bed, the stance. All of it. Well done, sir.
Thank me Jim
That was so much fun to watch...knowing it was your first time and the fact that you still had fun. Love it.
Cheers Eric. Glad you enjoyed it

Absolutely spot on, doesn’t really matter if it works or not, it’s about being creative and finding a solution for a problem 👍🏻
Yes I agree. I love innovating, and it doesn’t matter if it works or not, it’s the fun of trying 👌
@@TomleyRC wonder what a nicely painted lexan/polycarbonate Hornet body would look like over that chassis (no wing), maybe like a single seat bouncer?
👏 for the creative ingenuity! Good luck for future comps!
Brilliant, Phil! Fantastic build! 😃
Really well done! And congrats for the place on the competition!!!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

Yes, so much diversity in the hobby 👌
Body is awesome, I still have my first F-150 and it's the Generation that you used. Have had the 81 F-150 Since 2001
Badass truck. Love the adjustable change of height in the front.
Love the truck the body lift is great.
I couldn't help but notice the little micro cars and beetle in the background they look so cool
I think it looks amazing! 🔥🔥🔥 That body mod IS truly genius 🤯
Cheers Joe 😎👌
Looks a fun adventure! Minus the clock...lol cool body mods as well. Crawler looks very capable. Well done. Great vid keep them coming!
That's an awesome rig! You have an incredible talent for design and building.
What a brilliant video! That is a little monster! I've just got an ftx kanyon as a beginner can't wait to get moding!
Nice. I’ll have a review soon if the New V2 Kanyon 👌

Cool idea on the body height adjustment
Can we see more on the cheap brushless feiyu fy08. Upgrades and more bashing
Maybe later on in the year

Great looking truck.

Looked good on the track made that course look easy
I love the Blackfoot body Phil!
Yes, looks good. I have an original Clod body as well for another project
Looks awesome mate and live the idea of using a servo to raise the body.
You're a tease showing off those MiniEV cars in the background!
Video is uploaded… will probably be out Sunday or early next week 👍
That's a cool truck , awesome hope you do well with it
Cheers dude
You built a Spider-Man truck. It went straight up a wall, lol. That's pretty genius. Do you have a build tutorial on this beauty?
Thanks dude. Not real tutorial. There is a part one to this build though. Back in April I think?
I have a ride height adjuster on my scx24! Cool car, man! Great job!
Sweet crawler. Love the body mod. What is that watch you're wearing?
Nice.!! Very nice indeed.
I really need to get myself to a proper competition..!
Super cool, love the driving modes😁
Loads of GREAT stuff here.. cheers.
So basically they had you over. Love the build mate it's all about making it your own class
Damn, this is special.
I love this RC
Great little crawler! Love the body on it.
Nice G-Shock! love the grey.
Congrats on being top driver, nice rig
I absolutely LOVE it! GENIUS!

Very smart and very cool... but _MAY_ be very illegal!

Legit setup. Not a bad run for a first time comping.
This car is definitely cool! Very creative, I like this look. I've never dealt with crawlers before, but maybe I should give this a try...

Delrin bro. Good stuff too. I used Delrin bushings on my RZR's long travel kit.. Not cheating but the big question mate is, will it bounce?!
Yeah, that’s the stuff 👍
Vader products monkey skid right?
And the links and drive shaft are just Capra wheel base right? Just trying to do a similar build
Interesting! Nice thinking outside the box! I was wondering about the rules. GCRC sounds like a good approach. Fun first :)
