I agree with you on the main points, however, it is known for a very long time (not just 20 years) that Cleopatra was from the Ptolemaic dynasty, the heirs of Alexander the Great's bodyguard who was Macedonian-Greek. Also they were incestuous, so it was impossible for Cleopatra to have even a hint of DNA from a black person. We don't need DNA-tests to deduce that she was not black, historical facts and logical thinking suffice. Also, there have been black Egyptians and even rulers of Egypt, not in the Ptolemaic dynasty though. So, please, don't call yourself a historian.

He only just started really. Doesn't seem that unusual, it's clearly really started growing fast. People won't see it until like start watching it. The more people watch it, the more people will see it, until it takes off. And his subscribers have gone way up in the last year or so when he started on the newer style of content. The shadow can doesn't happen until they see you getting successful and try to muffle you, they don't care if you aren't getting watched anyway.

Love the Carl Weathers tribute. I;ve heard a lot of black people say he was a great inspiration for black men everywhere and while I understand that it wasn't just black men he inspired, it was all men. As someone who loves the Napoleonic era, the Napoleon movie wasn’t just bad, it was heartbreaking. Made Napoleon boring and unlikeable. The battles were wrong and terrible. Instead of musket warfare and tactics, we got medieval charges and hand to hand chaos. Just stupid. Napoleon waving his arms around giving orders. When in reality battlefields were kilometers wide. He would be looking at maps and giving written orders. Napoleon wasn’t a cavalry commander, he was an artillery officer. So him leading charges on horseback was laughable. He was notoriously a bad horse rider. None of his marshals were even mentioned. Their importance in all the battles just ignored. Josephine was older than Napoleon. But we got a 50 year old married to a 20 something. Just bad. I could go on, but I won’t. He could have done something great with that movie. But instead decided to make a hit piece.
I think the feeling I got from the movie was like reading a textbook in fifth grade and trying to put that to screen. When you’re a kid just learning basic points for the weekly quiz and nothing else, and falling asleep a few times. “Oh he rode horses” while falling asleep and missing the “he was bad at them” part. It’s amazing how little passion is in the movie with its production.

(On a different but related note, the first movie handled the subject of criminal justice with far more insight and nuance than _Quantumania_ did.)
I would like to point out some of the archeologists are fricken pissed about how their interviews were cut to make it look like they supported Netflix's fantasy of Cleopatra and are supporting witnesses for Egypt suing them.

I agree with you on the main points, however, it is known for a very long time (not just 20 years) that Cleopatra was from the Ptolemaic dynasty, the heirs of Alexander the Great's bodyguard who was Macedonian-Greek. As someone who loves the Napoleonic era, the Napoleon movie wasn’t just bad, it was heartbreaking.
Made Napoleon boring and unlikeable. The battles were wrong and terrible. Instead of musket warfare and tactics, we got medieval charges and hand to hand chaos. Just stupid.
Napoleon waving his arms around giving orders. When in reality battlefields were kilometers wide. He would be looking at maps and giving written orders.
Napoleon wasn’t a cavalry commander, he was an artillery officer. So him leading charges on horseback was laughable. He was notoriously a bad horse rider.
None of his marshals were even mentioned. Their importance in all the battles just ignored.
Josephine was older than Napoleon. But we got a 50 year old married to a 20 something.
Just bad. I could go on, but I won’t. He could have done something great with that movie. But instead decided to make a hit piece.
Maybe the Spielberg series will make it right.

I think the feeling I got from the movie was like reading a textbook in fifth grade and trying to put that to screen. When you’re a kid just learning basic points for the weekly quiz and nothing else, and falling asleep a few times. “Oh he rode horses” while falling asleep and missing the “he was bad at them” part. It’s amazing how little passion is in the movie with its production.

59:00 Cassie’s characterization in _Ant-Man 3_ is especially galling if you remember the first two movies (where she was played by a different, younger, and frankly more talented actress). That Cassie was sweet, loving, and immensely likable, so much so that Scott was willing to risk being lost forever in the quantum realm to save her. (On a different but related note, the first movie handled the subject of criminal justice with far more insight and nuance than _Quantumania_ did.)
So far only 7 people out of 13,700 have "disliked" the content.. there is yet hope for the future.
