The machine sounds like it’s struggling
I just got this mixer - is that sound not normal????
@@TheHerbeevore I think it’s normal but perhaps reduce the load slightly.
Mine sounds like this too and I was wondering if it’s normal.
@@TheHerbeevore for how much you guys
I been looking for videos of this sound is normal or if I should return it? So I am not the only one ?
STOP IT 😂 you’re killing that innocent mixer 😢
It’s designed to handle stiff doughs like this.
@@SWMOWoodsmanit’s designed to not go above speed 2, and this looks like it’s on speed 4.
I just ordered this style mixer. I plan to knead bread with it. Is this sound normal? Ive not used one before so just curious. Thanks!
Sounds like an F1 pitstop
For this density You should buy a industrial grade mixer. Kitchenaid for kitchen games...
😍😍😍
You on a rush to make the dough or something ? Slow down the speed poor machine lol
Is the mixer on speed 2? The instruction manual recommends to never exceed speed 2 when using the dough hook. Doing so will increase the likelihood of motor failure as well as damage the cogs of the gears.
No that's speed 4
@@rasikadhamankar3670 no, it's speed level 2 when using the dough hook.
Speed is too fast, 1-2 oniy
Doesn't look like a 2 speed max to me
Dough too stiff for the machine
Must be out of gas, it won't crank, will burn up your starter
Sounds like you may need a bit of moisture: your machine is struggling;
Sounds like a gear is stripped from putting too much strain on the mixture from a little dough, I'm not sure the KitchenAid artisan is worth the $479
Ψαχνω ενα μιξερ να ζυμωνω τσουρεκια και δε ξερω πιο να διαλεξω
How much price this machine
That thing sounds like it's dying. My Cusinsart Precision Elite doesnt sound like this at all.....yeesh
😂
Dough looks dry
What is the watt? I just watched a great video and the guy says, any 275 watt will struggle with bread making. And I have just purchased a 275 watt. He mentions for bread making is best with a 300-watt machine 😢
Your dough is way to dry for a stand mixer. Find a softer dough recipe or you'll kill that machine really fast.

The gear in your mixer is worn call the number on the side for a technician and then she’ll be good as new. They last forever, yearly maintenance is a must if you use your mixer a lot
which model is this? and is it the color of milkshake?
Gosh your destroying your motor
It too loud it is going to give up.
Do you have any Hawaiian sweet bread recipes?
Yes I have 2 sourdough recipes on my site!
What colour is your KA?
That’s what it sounds like it doin your work
Good grief
Price of this kitchen aid
Your kitchenaid sounds so sad
Agreed! It's brand new too :(
@@TheHerbeevoreit's been 8 months! Do you still have that KitchenAid mixer? Did it get any better? I bought one from BB&B before they closed cause I make pretzels. I don't think I should make pretzels anymore👀
@@TheHerbeevoreIts all in how much you load it up…and making sure your dough not too dry. I make dough in mine and it does very well
😂😂😂
Yikes just got mine today and although most people say you can use it for kneading dough they advise not to, because it burns the mother out this is like the 3rd video that has confirmed it. Thanks for sharing
You can knead dough. A dough hook comes with it. But you aren’t supposed to knead it faster than a 2 speed.
I use my Kitchenaid stand mixer 2-3 times a week for fresh bread dough. I mix on speed 1 (lowest) for 8 minutes (I set timer). I use 500g flour to 330g water, 10g dry yeast, 5g sugar, 8g salt, 15g olive oil. This wet/dry ratio works well in my mixer and does not overwork it - I only mix a single loaf batch at a time, for this same reason. If you want to make 2 loaves just mix one for 8 mins then take out and mix another for 8 mins, better than overloading and overworking the motor.
FYI: my initial comment had an error, I wrote 550g flour but it was supposed to be 500g, so I corrected and rewrote above - should be 500g.
You just have to be careful of the amounts and also the speed…i make pizza dough and it does great, but i dint overload it. But the recipe i use still makes 8 pizza doughs…we make thin crust. Makes a great, soft, very elastic dough, and saves my carpal tunnel wrists…i cant knead by hand for 6 minutes anymore..so my daughter bought me a kitchen aid for Christmas
What color is this?
try pastillas
That mixer is gonna wear out real quick on you. For real bread dough making, look into those countertop spiral mixers. A bit pricey, but so much more powerful for dough mixing. Better gluten structure too.
Thank u
Quick White Bread: theherbeevore.com/quick-yeast-bread-recipe-vegan/
This why is better to go for even a small 10qt commercial mixer, it will have dc motor which will make a huge difference, also full metal gears and if you have money go for a spiral mixer!
I mean you're not wrong a 10 court commercial mixer would be better except for it's like 3 times. The price these are in 2 entirely different ballparks not to mention kitchen. Aid mixers are all full metal gears except for a single gear that is kevlar reinforced that is built to snap when under too much stress so it. Doesn't burn The motor out.

Some of the kitchen aid mixers are not made to handle dough kneading. Even though they advertise it and it comes with the dough hook. You need the kitchen aid 5.5 stand mixer where the bowl is held in with "arms," if you mix a lot of dough. The 5.5 bowl mixer is designed to handle the kneading.
The big artesian mixer would work well too, I think. I m honestly not 100% sure the artesian mixer would work well. But definitely better than some of the mixers. Over time these mixers like the classic can become damaged if you mix a lot of dough.
We have the artisan it works fine if you don’t overload it and the dough is not so hard or dense
Everyone is talking about the speed. But this is an "professional plus", mixer wich sounds to me that it should be able to handle this
The manufacturer specifically states in the manual to not go above speed 2 when kneading, and always has. Also it may have the “Professional” badge on it, but it’s still a residential/consumer grade machine.
@@JCole78it should still be able to handle this. Its made for this. I think its on speed 3? So thats a thing yes. But even then.
It's a cheap fix when it goes. This model has plastic gears.
It has one sacrificial gear that’s meant to strip out of it has too much of a load placed on it to prevent motor damage. The rest of the gears are metal.
Almost 400 bucks for a mixer. Haha my farberware mixer will last longer
