I know this is an old video but thanks. That tones are f dope. Do you still think it's worth as for 2024? I found it second hand for 265€. My original idea was to take a Warwick gnome i pro v2 (300w) with it's cab (gnome cab 10/8). The only head TC still sells with TonePrint is the BH250, that could be an opt too! But seeing this goes around +450€, maybe the combo is better opt.
I've got this amp. It's pretty good. For practice I use Roland bass cube 20xl, but if I'm playing with a drummer I use the TC. It's so light compared to previous amps I've owned. How about this though - the TC Spectradrive pedal is a lovely bass Preamp/ bass DI, which takes out the need for an amp when recording, or when playing into a house PA/Desk. Half the price of a SansAmp with more features. Find one on Reverb now!
I bought this amp when I was quite busy gigging and doing dep work for three bands. Made life so much easier, carry the amp in one hand, bass in the other and leads in a bag over my shoulder. Easily loud enough for smaller gigs, and just plugged it into the house pa/desk for larger stuff. To think I used to lug around almost 100kg of bass amp/speakers.
When plugged in via XLR, do you have the option to run the speaker off or on? E.g. on for stage monitoring during gigs, and off in the studio when plugged into an audio interface?
I have the BG250-208. It's a really great amp, I love the tone and all its features. But it disappointed me with the potency, if you are playing with a drummer you will need an extra cab.
The best bass sound of all time.. P-Bass.. excellent with this BG250
