Angle grinder with a sanding disc will make it much easier on you. You would be much better off building a new center console than spending time fixing that one. But fixing that one will def improve your skills!
Thanks for the suggestions…I might be too far along on the existing console to go back 😂 but i assume in the next 4-5 years I’ll build out a whole new console. Definitely learning a lot along the way!
@@lastcastfishing3913you can also buy prefabricated fibreglass centre consoles that just screw/glass down to the deck. Worth the money to save a lot of time and effort and get a professionally molded console.
Oh man so much work..... its rotten plywood. just use it as a template. Like the video thanks for posting

Got me hooked love it
that curved wood piece was SO satisfying
“I kinda wanna keep this whole cracking apart sinking vibe” when do I get to come out?
Hahaha you know me, that’s my vibe! And come out when you (if ever) come back to the mainland you Hobie addict
New subscriber love the content
Broke out the thesaurus for this one
Your gonna be replacing all those peices of wood in another 5 years
You’re probably right, and at that point I think I’ll be ready to rebuild the whole console. A 3-5 year fix is perfect!
Should just make new console
Agree with you. Good luck with the rest of the project. 🛥🚤
@@realsimzane thanks! another video coming very soon with some major improvements...
