Not just running water, but HOT running water is a miracle. I camped in East Africa when I graduated high school. I never take water for granted. Ever. Or any plumbing. Love honeycomb ever since I saw Nigella Lawson make it and then devour it in the cab instead of gifting it to her friend . . . Thank-God for England!
Love 70's songs with stories. Toffee, brittle and comb recipes are fun science experiments. Yea, but be extra careful when making lava and don't go thinking you can dip your finger in because you won't have a finger coming out.
I'm only familiar with the O.C. Smith version of the song 'Honey' Randy. I was so insulted when people made fun of it!😡😤 My mother loved that song!
You can buy honeycomb covered chocolate bars in Australia. They're called Violet crumble 😋 (similar to a crunchy bar)
WHAT A GREAT WAY TO START MY SUNDAY 😊
What a fun project to do on a Sunday! Thank you for the recipe, guidance and idea!
G'ma dipped it into chocolate ❤ and we called it Fairy Food😂 so good 😍 nice video 👍
It's called sponge in Canada I have also heard it called Seafoam. Yum yum. Scrunchy from England is a piece of honeycomb enrobed in Cadbury chocolate. Oh please!
Randy, as always, you bring fun and enlightenment with every video. Your work is deeply appreciated!
You said 2 1/2 cups of baking soda on your recipe you posted on the video.
OMG!! Obviously wrong! So sorry- we will correct immediately! Thanks for watching!
Ha haaa I knew what you meant bc I've made it before but some may take it literally! lol
@@randysharp6065 still not fixed, I followed it before realizing.
UGH, I went by the ingredients listed, 2 1/2 CUPS of baking soda is wrong.....
There is another name for this candy..."Sponge Toffee"...chikdhood memory.
Randy, this was a great video! I just discovered chocolate covered honeycomb at Trader Joe’s and was curious about how to make it. Quick tip for lining a pan with parchment paper (that always wants to pop up) is to crumple it into a ball first and then smooth it out and it will be much more cooperative. Thanks for another informative and entertaining episode 😊
Also known as Seafoam. Little shop on British coast used to make it.
Same stuff as in a “Crunchie” bar.
We call it seafood, we cover it with chocolate and it’s delicious! My favorite candy!
Yes you absolutely can use the British corn syrup I do it and must made some a week ago it was awesome! ❤😊
Bakers Toast in Australia …do not refrigerate and cover in sealed container immediately
I love this. Thank you, Randy! 🧡
You have a very dry sense of humor. Lose the singing too.
I used to cry my eyes out when I listened to that song!😢
So fun to watch and learn from you, Randy! ❤
I had this so many times. I had no idea it doesn't contain any honey.
Thank you for your videos.
So excited to make this 😊
love this video
The Honeycomb Hideout!! (70's cereal commercial.) We need a tree house! 😊😊😊
