My grandma grew up in the depression and was one of eight children ,her mother died when she was young and she quit school to take care of her Seven Brothers abd the farm. She baked everything, and grew up in the holler of Virginia. Her cinnamon rolls were coveted in our family❤️ and she made each child her six ,a dozen cinnamon rolls every Christmas. It was one of the many Hallmarks of her love. Whenever I see cinnamon rolls I think of my grandma🙂❤️. She was a simple, loving, God-fearing Christian woman who could create things in the kitchen it seemed out of thin air with very little ingredients. She also canned food ,put up quarts, always had a garden. In her kitchen she always had a coffee can filled with bacon grease and on the side a concoction of coffee grounds and eggshells she would throw out in her garden along with vegetable scraps for compost. As a child I always thought that was gross and I didn't understand why she kept them there instead of throwing them out except to see her use the bacon grease for cooking. She was also handy with a needle and thread. Made her children's clothes and skirts, quilts from her children's clothes and material that was left over. Down two stuffed toys for the church Bazaar. She also made me the most fantastic Barbie clothes that were ever imaginable. In one room there was always a large quilting frame which she would work on in the evenings or during the day when she had time I tried to learn what I could from her but if I could go back in time I have so many questions and so much more to learn in these times we live in. Thank you Patera for evoking my grandma's memory to my mind today🌬 I can almost smell her cinnamon rolls and yeast rolls😊

and so I returned to this video to leave a comment😁 Burn it to learn it just became a real lesson.... haven't set off smoke alarms in years and years but windows currently open at 50 degrees to clear it-actual smoke- out. I was so excited for a quick no yeast recipe that I failed to check the size of my cast iron griddle so that butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon etc dripped into the bottom of the oven at 450. The rolls didn't burn but buddy oh boy have I made a mess and no less than three people have walked in to ask "what is on fire?" The cinnamon rolls Taste delicious even through the haze🤣😂🤣😂

Love this thanks!!! Wanted to share a beloved so easy recipe of our family - SUPER EASY 3 ingredient Alfredo sauce!
For 2 people- so adjust for taste or how many people you have-
Melt 1 tbsp butter in large sauce pan over med heat. Stir in about a cup of heavy whipping cream. Add a little Italian seasoning here if you want, or not if don’t. Stir in about a cup of shredded Parmesan cheese. Add in your cooked noodles or ravioli & eat. Not that you will have left overs, but this does not reheat well because it is real food, no non clump agents.

I always use brown sugar. I do need a cast iron griddle. Sounds like a trip to Cabela’s! ❤

Brown sugar, or white sugar with molasses makes everything better! Your teasers for the last several days about this recipe caused me to experiment and make biscuits with cinnamon, pecans and home dried raisins. I did not add any sugar to the base, but I did use powdered sugar and butter for the glaze. Turned out good, but next time I'll make this recipe.

I used to toss a smidge of sugar in all the flour based items. Really. Not sure where I picked that up from, I just always did it.

@@bridgescwr6136 Dehydrator. I always thought it was a waste of electricity to make them, but they were on sale for a great price and I bought a bunch. I have found that the best way to dry them is to cut them in half. Next time, I might put them in the blender and treat like a fruit roll up as it still takes a long time to dry them, even cut in half. I like to dehydrate at 115°F.
