@@GrowingGoodHair It is beautiful right from the rollers but it will not stay that way. Her hair will revert very quickly if left in this state. The flat iron seals in the straightness.
If not straightened, her hair will be in it's beginning natural state in a few hours.

@@marciapeak893no Its depend on how the customer take care of her hair I think the only useful thing in this case is just straightening the roots but not the rest especially if it was a slik press processus
WOW this is beautiful. In the late 60’s and early 70’s all we did was magnetic rollers and the hair always came out great. I could watch you do hair all day. You are truly gifted. Great job 👏🏼
No wonder when I wash and and then roll my natural hair, I look like I belong in the 1970s. I used to think I look dated, and that straight hair is more modern, but I'm loving all the body and bounce I get from the wash and set technique.

Why people get it flat ironed after, idk! It’s always so beautiful just out of the roller set. Just hit the perimeter and roots with a little heat and I would be out the door 🚪. But beautiful job as always 👌🏾

Years ago I had a stylist who would press my hair with a hot comb, then roller set it and sit me under the dryer. My style would last 2 weeks.
@@kimlobdell9778 This sounds like something I want to try. Would she set your roller set with a mousse after pressing or would add just roller it and sit under the dryer after the press?
@@godhascalled she used a mousse and my hair would have body for days.
@@kimlobdell9778 that's how my grandmother did my hair. It was big, bouncy and long. How I wish I had her around now.

Once she took the rollers out the hair, it was already straight.
It’s just stretched out but was more than likely slightly frizzy that you can’t see on camera and would’ve frizzed up the moment she walked outside. Most of the straightening to our hair is done during a blow dry/roller set, flat ironing is just to give a sleek finish.

I'm someone that I have been natural for some time now but I have a BIG fear of putting heat to my hair because I don't want to lose my curl pattern. So I was wondering should I be afraid to put heat to my hair? Help🙏
