Hi everyone and thank you for watching this video! Just a quick comment regarding Wendy’s 2019 accident: I am aware of Wendy’s accident (please watch the video all the way through - i mention it in detail!). According to allkpop.com, whose translation is sourced from the Korean tabloid Dispatch, Wendy’s “right pelvis and wrist were broken, and her right cheekbone was cracked. She also has a number of bruises all over her body.” Here is a link to both the original post and the translation: n.news.naver.com/entertain/article/433/0000065701 www.allkpop.com/article/2019/12/dispatch-releases-details-of-wendys-accident Wendy suffered a terrible fall and undoubtedly needed surgery to correct her painful broken bones and fractures. However, I am of the belief that procedures such as her alleged new nose (which appears to have been enhanced with an implant), new eye shape, and fuller lips are unrelated to her accident. Wendy did not undergo serious reconstructive surgery to her nose, lips or eyes; for this reason, I believe that these procedures have likely been performed in tandem with those needed for reconstructive purposes. In the end, whether or not these procedures were or were not functionally necessary, my goal is to open a dialogue about surgery in the industry and its potential impact in the long run. I’m simply bringing these possible changes to light so we can all understand how she achieved her look and discuss it. This is my opinion only, so please feel free to disagree. Wendy is an inspiration, not only for her incredible talent but especially for her courage throughout her both mentally and physically painful recovery. Wendy is beautiful as she is and as she decides to be💙 Thank you!😊
No way you actually believe that the surgeries weren't done because of the fall from that height on her face, the damages to her face would cripple any idol's career, no matter your stance on plastic surgery, do not use one person's suffering as an example for this topic. Wendy doesn't deserve that no matter how respectful you are towards her.
You made a poor choice; admit it. Wendy's injuries were more severe than "a cracked cheekbone" if she needed her jaw wired shut. (FYI, Dispatch is about as reliable as Wikipedia.) So yeah, Wendy probably did need reconstructive surgery, which is why her face looks different now. You could've just picked someone who 100% went for elective surgery instead of choosing someone who actually was in the hospital for months because of a tragic accident. 🙄😒
@@SMCSwag hello! as i’ve stated, i do believe that wendy has had a significant number of procedures done as a result of her injuries. however, i am of the belief that a nose implant, an eye lengthening procedure, and lip fillers are not related to her accident. these procedures have no connection to facial reconstruction. thank you!
I think it's so strange that people keep saying the ONLY reason her face looks different is because of the 2019 accident and any reconstruction done afterwards. She Clearly had major surgery wayyyyy before the accident. And that's ok! It just makes people look silly to keep blaming all of her changes on the accident.
Well of course cuz those past changes are gone and had to be redone. Im against plastic surgery, but her first job looked natural, but after the accident she's 1 more surgery away from looking scary
@@BiancoIsleDelfino Dont shade Park Bom girl, Bom has a lymph node issue, which causes her lymphatic drainage to not work enough. Wendy had a crack in her cheek, but her whole face changed. Bom actually looks like herself after she took out her chin implant, she basically only has lip fillers and a nose job.
@@Zha-ke girl.... park boom did a million surgeries and its sad. I dont think she will see these messages so its ok. I love her voice shes talented, but she really has a problem with surgery
great analysis but don't you think the title sounds inappropriate? "Has she gone TOO FAR?" it's not our place to judge what type and the amount of surgeries a stranger to us gets
completely agree. one of the things i like about this account is how they review potential procedures without the sensationalizing commentary. titles like this seem to run counter to the account’s stated purpose. i felt this way with the hwasa video title too
Thank you so much!😊As for the title, my intention is only to provoke thought in viewers. My intention is never to disrespect the analyzed individual - I believe Wendy is beautiful and incredibly talented, surgery or not, and I’m sorry if the title makes it seems otherwise!
I have never seen wendys pre debut photos but holy crap it doesn't look like the same person at all...if no one told me, I would have never in a million years guessed it was her. I mean there's nothing wrong with it, she looks great either way, but I'm just shocked at the difference in her appearance.
i mean, not only surgery changed her tho. When you go through puberty, a lot of your face change too, get bigger or smaller. Also besided that, she did have a very extreme diet due to bad comments and "fatphobia" (she wasnt fat, we all know the drill), and in the end had the accident which changed her face a little. So this is the result, alongside with some surgerys.
"I mean there's nothing wrong with it" is you being scared to get cancelled lol. These plastic surgeries are like the root of beauty standards and people feeling insecure about themselves.
@stantalentmorethanvisual4564 I see that too, but I don't think Irene got all that much work done. She's always been called the "original visual". Not just lyrics in a song, but was actually from her school days when others called her "the visual".
Guys, let's not forget Wendy's stage accident. One of the injuries was her broken cheek. That means her face must have been disfigured. Imagine the fear as an individual who is in the spotlight. Whether she had surgeries before, who knows. Truth is, she's always been beautiful. BUT to have your face reconstructed after a serious accident (I've been left with some facial scars after a vehicle accident), it's not easy to go through. She will always have my support as an artist no matter what she looks like 💙
i think this video can definitely rub people the wrong way. it briefly mentions wendy's accident and almost makes it seem like her surgery was voluntary. just me tho idk
@@satanlovesu Wendy has done facial surgeries multiple times before the accident, please stop blaming it all on the accident it's seriously getting creepy
Exactly. More kpop stans should be aware of plastic surgery (especially western stans) cuz most of the time it’s brushed off as “puberty.” Fans should be made aware so they don’t compare themselves to idols & wonder why puberty didn’t change them the same way idols “puberty” did. It’s not to shame idols, it’s just to spread awareness.
imo her eye corners have never changed, I see absolutely no difference there; BUT her eyelids have changed soo much. She went from having subtle, natural double eyelids to having thick parallel eyelids. Other than that, the jaw shave + multiple rhinoplasties have made the biggest change in her appearance.
She had an extremely serious injury…she fell off a stage and had serious damage. She had fractures to her face, to her pelvis, and to her wrist. Do research before you say things like this.
@@andershi1You aren't correct, she indeed got a surgery in 2019 that are only skin bleaching, but after the accident, she change her face in the hospital for covering her bruise or wound around her face, also her nose are broken and she needs to fix her nose too
y'all keep mentioning the stage accident like... yeah and it sucks and was really unfortunate and i hope she has made a full recovery and is very healthy and happy. all her cosmetic procedures are not a result of the surgeries from that accident though. if you compare wendy now to her predebut photos, she looks like a different person. it's not like you have to judge her or hate her for that (i certainly don't. in fact i'm a fan of hers) but it's just very obvious and clear that wendy's face has changed a lot. it's a fact. we as fans SHOULD acknowledge it when we see cosmetic procedures on idols and other celebrities because there are people who can't tell when someone has had cosmetic procedures and a lot of them are kids and never saying anything about it gives them unrealistic expectations for what growing up and getting older looks like. hell, for wendy it can't even be puberty. she was like 20 when she debuted.
Agreed! They keep bringing it up like, yes, it's unfortunate, but the transformation didn’t really stop when she came back after recovering. When she promoted her first solo album, she already looked different, and I actually liked it. Since then, her looks have continued to change with each comeback. It's a bit frustrating how she keeps changing, and the fans refuse to acknowledge it, as if it's something to be ashamed of.
@@moonandsunrise7936 yeah exactly. i've seen so many fans trying to stop other fans whenever they say "wendy looks different in every comeback" but like... she kinda does. it's not to the point where she's unrecognizable but if you compare cosmic to like.. birthday. she looks different. and it's not just the makeup. i'm not sure what exactly it is she's doing but her face keeps changing. i feel like it might be filler ? but i'm not an expert. it's clearly some kind of cosmetic procedure though
It’s such a shame, I think she looked perfect in 2016, and just couldn’t stop. The accident seems like it gave an addict an excuse to accelerate her addiction. One of the great blessings of my life is never having been famous, I think.
I’m not a reveluv but this year, her face shocked me. She looks very different for Birthday and Stamp on it. It’s the nose that’s esp sticking out to me
@@Lettiexx not too different till I cant recognise her at all. But the change last year was quite dramatic to the point that i went first saw her after a while was “what did she do to her nose??”
We can't be denied that her face had changed before she had that accident. after the accident, the plastic surgery was even more gruesome to the point that I didn't recognize her old face anymore. I think she was already beautiful from the happiness era, but it seems she is not satisfied with the shape of her nose and jawline.
Whether these type of surgeries help idols feel better or not, i am and always will be amazed at how a person (sometimes younger than 20) can choose to get them this easily & to pursue or while pursuing a career. One of my family members got her nose job at 23 & she thought about it HARD for a full year, felt scared & eventually was traumatized by the procedure (even though successful & risk-free). I can't imagine what goes on through idols' (and many young koreans) heads to do so much so early.
It’s commonplace in S Korea. Ads everywhere even in train stations. I can’t blame the idols for getting work done though. If I were in their position, I bet I’d succumb to the same pressure. Having your looks judged and always being on camera obviously ain’t easy.
In Jessica Jung’s novel Bright, she talks about plastic surgery in a really fascinating way. A character talks about feeling traumatized looking in the mirror and seeing someone different and how this affected their sense of self and personality. It’s scary the pressures they face and the long term effects of procedures they may feel pressured or forced to undergo
CORRECTION HERE EVERYONE!!!!!!!! , WENDY didn't do surgery just bcoz she wAn't to make beautiful for everyone BCOZ SHE'S VEN BEFORE SHE LOOKS BEAUTIFUL.. WHAT HAPPENED TO HER WAS SHE GOT ACCIDENT SO DNT GENERALIZE AND BELONG HER NAMED TO THOSE KPOP WHO GOT SURGERY BCOZ THEY'RE INSECURE OF THEIR BEAUTIES (I.E LISA NOSEJOB)
True, her face changed, but her attitude remained the same from the beginning until now. she's always loved for her talent and good attitude. whatever is done to her face is her choice. for real fans this is not a problem and it does not change anything
@@Sparksandmelons she's my bias too. as far as i see she's now just enjoying her life doing whatever that makes her happy.personally, if by going through some procedure makes her happy then let her be. what matter is she always being kind and hardworking just like she was before. in fact she's now look more confident & carefree☺️.
@@Sparksandmelons If she is your bias then U know how much she washated for her weight and chubby face over the years. It's normal for someone to be so much insecure about their body and face. Camera's follow her 24*7. So she getting plastic surgery will be not a surprise.
@@Sparksandmelons she change bcoz of her surroundings esp frm her DJing she need that Outgoing character.. If u dnt know Wendy her real character is she's now She's became shy type since she lived in states bcoz they always changed location w/ that it affect on her,,,, REAL WENDY IS WHAT YOU SEE now,.. yEah may times I dnt like her attitude now coz shes COCKY, NOISY, CHATTERBOX than what WENDY USED BEFORE that she's reserved, always put others b4 herselfs now shes trying to be a leader bcoz she's a DJ she always does talk much ...
I think her attitude CHANGE A LOT. More confidence it was also bcoz of her work like DJ she need to maintain that... The things that I dnt like her attitude now was being COCKY, FULL OF HERSELF(CONFIDENCE) ALWAYS TRYING TO BE A LEADER(HOST) in every RV full performance like stage/shows..Still like her tho I just dnt really like ppl who are VAIN, COCKY, NARCISSISTIC innermost
just a tip: please add years not only to the after photos but to the before photos as well. even though you mention them in the voiceover, it'd be easier to understand the time frame you're talking about
after her first jaw surgery i was worried about the maintenance and complications later in life especially since she’s a singer, but this was wayyy before the fall. now there is no telling how it’s going to effect her later in life even with access to the best doctors in the world.
here 10 months later, i did think this was a recent video tho. This is a very good analysis and very interesting! I came here because in the recent song Chill Kill, I literally didn't recognize Wendy, except when she was smiling and because of her voice. At the end of this video I still recognize Wendy on those photos of 2022, or better said, the association that I have on my mind of her and her face still checks out, but now at mid 2023 I don't anymore... I'm kinda worried about her and her self steem or addiction to the procedures
Same that’s literally why I searched this I just feel like she’s a completely different person every time I see her she doesn’t look like herself at all anymore and it’s a shame because she was stunning in happiness era it’s always sad when someone changes their face that much
I think her facial fullness could be due to her weight gain. You need to take into consideration that she was extremely thin during red flavour and has gained weight in recent years.
I agree she is much thinner then she was in some of her older photos, She also had to get facial reconstruction because of an accident, she got to save her face
Changes definitely present on the face due to weight loss/gain, and I took this into account throughout my analysis. Please keep in mind that I look through hundreds of photos before coming to any speculative conclusion. Cheek projection, for example, does not change in the face of weight loss/gain. Moreover, Wendy did not gain any significant amount of weight between 2018 and 2019 which would warrant such a change in facial fullness (check out the 6:02 mark!) Thank you for your comment!😊
and you too should take the fact that she did some surgery. the surgery for health is different from surgery for beauty. don't denying. wendy can do whatever she want. is not a shame for doing surgery for idol, the changes is for us the fans. if she want to be more beauty. so what's the matter?
I hope she had the procedures because she really wanted to do them. I've read some negative comments about red velvet's members' looks in the past, and i can imagine there is a lot of pressure on how an idol looks. I can imagine that some just get these procedures to just lessen the stress of having to look perfect all the time.
I really love Wendy no matter what she looks like but to be honest I will always miss her debut look, there was something unique and beautiful, a purity and cleanliness about the image, I can't say if it's because she was younger , but sure enough, so many appearance changes have taken away the 2014 Wendy. By far, it's my favorite look
Whatever changes on her look, I still love her. She is still the same person with great attitude and talents who debuted as Red Velvet main vocal in 2014 💙💙💙
This is so crazy. She looks like a completely new person. I wished people would learn and love themselves and recognize others for their talents. Not how they look like.
She was in a serious accident and could have died, her face got messed up really bad. I think it’s us fans who need to learn to love an idol for talent and not looks
I'm absolutely SHOCKED! I didn't watch an Red Velvet's MV at sooo many time! And today, I did it! I watched her in the new Station's release, and I DIDIN'T RECONGNIZE HER! She's always been soooo beautiful, I always thought that she was incredible awesome. I had an image of her, like, from 2015, 2016, and when I saw her today, I couldn't believe it. It looks like she's losing herself day by day. She don't even look the same, and thats SO SAD. The truth is that she NEVER acepted herself, which OBVIOUSLY got so much worst with the effects of K-pop's industry on her life. I just wish she gets better.
I feel the same i was extremly impress of her i am a red velvet fan since 2015 as well i stopped follow her for a period and now that i just watched the Last red velvet's comeback i cant even believe that she was her she is unreconizable now and also i i felt the same with eunha umji and sinb from viviz i followed them since 2015 i stopped whatching them and now that i watched their comeback as viviz the look really full of fillers and nose jobs their noses look like more westernized i couldnt even reconize umji and eunha
Please cover taeyeon. It seems she keeps removing parts of her jaw. I’m scared she’s doing it to lose more weight as she’s also been getting smaller and smaller. Lots of these “idols” are forced then learned to keep their weight as small as possible then their heads look so huge, maybe leading to them thinking they need to remove parts of their face to fit the rest of their body. K-pop is weirding me out.
Well duh...she fell off a 9 meter stairs and fractured her hip, arm, jaw, and cheek bone of course she would need surgery. You guys act like she did surgery because she wanted it she literally broke her face???
@@segazora lip fillers are a non invasive cosmetic procedure they aren't surgery?? if she got them done and she likes them who cares but 95% of why she looks so different is weight loss and her major reconstructive surgery after breaking her cheekbone/jaw ect....
gosh I knew that it wasn’t just me thinking she looked completely different! it looks like she’s been trying different things to see which she likes best (obv not about what she had to get done bc of her accident) ! as long as she’s happy and isn’t harming herself with this, more power to her ❤
I believe that if korean's beauty standards wasn't so high most idols wouldn't feel pressured to go through all these procedures. Like, I know that at the end of the day it's their choice, but, imagine having your success based on how you look rather than how talent you are... I mean, it's impregnated on kpop groups already that's why they have the visual position and I'll tell you what, visuals usually get paid way more than the other members thanks to the side jobs they get such as photoshoots, brands promotions, modeling and much others. Of course the others can also get those jobs but most companies don't promote them half as much as they do visuals... So yeah, I don't blame them for doing plastic surgeries
The beauty standards are not necessarily high. They are just very specific with it. The shapes and sizes are all very specific which is why although some idols are still said to be very pretty despite not fitting the Korean beauty standards
@@asareirene i like this way of describing it. To me every idol ive seen is beutiful to a degree, some of them shockingly so. But not only does the k-beauty standard seem very specific, it also seems very unrealistic to me? Unrealistic body standards have been common internationally, but arent a lot of the other things like the specific facial structure, eye shape, and pale skin extremely uncommon for koreans, or at least it would be statistically improbable to be born with most "ideal" traits? I'd love to be better informed on this bc its been on my mind for ages but i cant say for sure as a westerner
I’m a huge reveluv and i love them all so much. although the title seems to be a clickbait, i really enjoyed how informative you are without being condescending. i myself, is considering going under the knife so this video gave me some idea of i would like to have done. thanks!
I'm sorry, she's a completely another person. What were we saying about loving ourselves? It's none of my business nor I care about what people do with their bodies but damn-- I don't think I'll be ever to support plastic surgery unless it's done for medical purposes. Like I don't even care if people come at me defending her because you're just sweeping how toxic kpop companies are under the rug without seeing how problematic it is. And it's not that I blame Wendy but she's an example just how terrible the beauty crisis is in Korea. Just because "it's the company's fault" doesn't mean "plastic surgery is okay, she's happy" when you're just feeding new beauty standards every year to the market. This is mental health.
It’s her body and her face. Who are you to judge if she wants to do ps? Actually, Ps is the same as using makeup tbh and anyway if you don’t want to do ps that’s your business and if someone wants to do it, it’s their right.
I find plastic surgery okay if it's used to balance features. Like if your nose is huge or your face is very square...and you want PS to stop it from ruining your other features, then okay.
@@sapph3342 doesn't matter permanent or temporary, the main intention is the same. If you ask the people that if their look with make up will stay the same forever, they would definitely say yes. Anyway it's their choice and their right. Who are we to judge other people physical appearance? And btw ALL kpop idols did ps both bcos of their company and also their own decision.
I’d say red flavor and russian roulette where her thinnest years. Russian roulette was the era where she had developed an ED and stopped eating to loose weight
For the jaw part at around 1:30 the mandible isn’t removed. Your mandible is the whole lower jaw. The surgery probably just shaved down the mandible (which sounds painful)
Yes exactly! The mandible is the lower jawbone, and in the case of a jaw reduction surgery the mandible angle can either be shaved down or bone can be partially removed. Thank you for your comment🤗
she looks so different.. i cant believe this or support it. idk if SM is forcing her to do these but she was beautiful in debut era already and was considered a visual. idk what they are thinking!! and i hope wendy isnt insecure about her looks or anything.
I saw their most recent mv and it’s crazy how she looks so different. The other girls have gotten work done but they still have their same essence. So sad 😞
My two decade long affair with kpop has also greatly informed me of such operations like a lateral canthoplasty, epicanthoplasty, alarplasty, so forth. Surgery is part and parcel for this visual driven industry, wish there was an overall lesser stigma towards work done as it's such an obvious open "secret". However, by the same token, it's disconcerting how much work is done to meet a standard.
omg, why do you care so much? i'm scrolling and scrolling interested in the comments and i keep seeing each of your comments that you keep typing every few months.. i even saw you in a different video... this is honestly insane
I'm a Wendy stan but if I'm being honest, I find this video very enlightening because I have always wondered about her changing looks (of course she's a public figure so it is totally normal to be scrutinized) and the subsequent effects of body shaming to her that pressured her to do so. I'm really starting to worry about her. She mentioned before that she is seeking mental help. I really do hope she is fine especially within the harsh industry they live in today and all the beauty standards and pressures etc. - that might be so depressing. But I appreciate her hard work, giving light to everyone and sharing her craft. Wendy like everyone else should know that she is being appreciated regardless of her looks.
This is sad, horrifying, and painful to watch... I always wondered why she didn't look korean even tho she should be... and I knew she lived in Canada, but that can't change you... I have indeed personal problems with people that go on these types of surgeries, but what we should we all be concerned about is how much of it was really her own idea because Korea is ruthless
It's WILD celebs get this done with cameras on them every few days. Not to mention, as proven here, literally your entirely different natural face and every change since then is logged and stored on the internet for all to see. I absolutely adore Wendy but with the CONSTANT procedures I fear she's either addicted or needs therapy and not a plastic surgeon in order for her to not look awful at 40. This video is also just another reminder that you're not ugly, you're just poor. Soo many celebs (including many idols) aren't good enough looking to debut anywhere but the companies spend big and they debut pretty. Props to the very rare idols who haven't gotten work done.
@@lola7995 everyone needs therapy in general, but the ones you want a doctor to slice and dice their face so they will look different because they don't like how they look? Yeah, I have no problem saying therapy should be required beforehand.

She kind of resembled Jungwoo for those Birthday recipe concept photos imo but now with her weight loss, haircut, and whatever extra procedures, its giving taeyeon. Then people going "tHe aCciDent/ oh tHe aCciDent" sound dumb and in denial. its been 3 years now, she's probably been healed since the end of 2020 yet she still looks different every era. Just compare her now, feb 2023, to Like Water promotions in april 2021 or Queendom and it is so evident that she's done more and more since then. She still retained her overall look even after the fall. I'm certain that even without the accident she'd have still transformed even more. @@ForæverMY exactly the problem wasn’t her nose, if you look at pics from before the accident compared to after you can see she got a nose job and a nose implant, he nose was so charming before but it’s a real shame she felt the need to change it
She looks great then and she looks great now. Personally loved her before surgeries, but it was unavoidable considering the cheek reconstruction; that said, now she looks ethereal.
People here are talking about her accident. I say this as a Wendy stan, she's my bias in Red Velvet and I'm really huge fan of her. But look at her in Happiness era and let's say Zimbzalabim or Red Flavor. That's way before the accident. Honestly she looks a bit like a different person. Especially her jaw and eyes look different. It could be because of weight changes but it's simply too much of a change to be caused only by losing weight. And even if she had a lot of surgeries, having procedure done is not a sin. I also would like to have some work done and there's nothing wrong with that.
I don't know if you've noticed but she got even more lip filler after the stamp on it comeback and she even has filler migration now. it's very noticeable in her recent pictures going to her radio show.
Bro, k-pop fans are disgusting.. first making fun of her cuz she was "fat" then getting mad cuz she lost weight and she wasn't taking care of herself, now a full video criticizing her looks now... Less complain avoid artists destroying their faces and bodies, is not rocket science...
She is my bias, and it's sad that she lacks confidence in her looks. Her debut face was beautiful and more natural. Nowadays, her lip fillers and weight loss seem excessive, and her eyes look different too 😢
i noticed the obvious changes once she came back from hiatus but not the ones she got over the years prior wow 😦 i always thought she was so pretty during happiness/automatic then smth changed that i couldn't pinpoint which was the nose.
@@pettyisgreat1288 she still looked different from her debut days even before her fall. you cant blame her face changing on her fall. there are people who had reconstructive surgery on their face and still looked the same as before.
Wendy remains a voice of a generation, an incredible combination of acquired skills, raw talent, and serious work. I care nothing about the surgeries, as it neither detracts nor enhances her voice, and it is her voice that lies at the root of any conversation about Wendy. We wouldn't even be discussing her if it was not for her awesome instrument. I, for one am grateful she continues to get more refined as an artist and gives us wonderful, memorable performances.
Her nose transformation around 2020-2022 gave me the same sense of disappointment as when 2NE1's Minzy got plastic surgery on her nose. It was almost inevitable since practically all the women in Kpop with "wide, flat-ish" noses (not sure how else to describe it) seem to eventually give into the peer pressure and get "work" done. I think it's a shame personally and I wish they didn't do it but I guess it is what it is.
Damn, I knew she had plastic surgery before and I knew she required extensive reconstructive surgery after the accident, but I don’t think I realized just how different she looked to her pre-debut self even before the accident. She’s like a whole other person.
she did it because she had to, how many times must i tell that she had an accident which required her to do so. in fact, if idols do it, it's up to them, they use their own money. doesn't affect your life. whether they will look like later, that's their business.
@@pleaseeeee lol so you mean to tell me every time she went under the knife was because she had an accident 🤡 And she can do what she wants, she’s only going to hurt herself in the end when she goes to far. I'm so glad I didn't do buccal fat removal. I wish more people knew how it's not a good surgery for most people, and a thinner less chubby face is not necessary prettier, and in just a few years people lose a lot of face fat anyway. I'm 26 and lost so much volume on my face and now I miss the chubby cheeks I had when I was 18, when ironically I thought they were a bad thing back then. And I even gained a bit of weight too. Fillers look unnatural, nothing will look as good as the original real fat that was there.

“right pelvis and wrist were broken, and her right cheekbone was cracked. She also has a number of bruises all over her body.”

Wendy suffered a terrible fall and undoubtedly needed surgery to correct her painful broken bones and fractures.
Wendy is beautiful as she is and as she decides to be💙
Thank you!😊
I agree but I feel like the video title was unnecessary.
@@unadormilona hello! may i ask where you read about her jaw being wired shut? thank you 😊
@@SMCSwag hello! as i’ve stated, i do believe that wendy has had a significant number of procedures done as a result of her injuries. however, i am of the belief that a nose implant, an eye lengthening procedure, and lip fillers are not related to her accident. these procedures have no connection to facial reconstruction. thank you!

I mean there's nothing wrong with it, she looks great either way, but I'm just shocked at the difference in her appearance.
Yes, look like another person.
i mean, not only surgery changed her tho. When you go through puberty, a lot of your face change too, get bigger or smaller. Also besided that, she did have a very extreme diet due to bad comments and "fatphobia" (she wasnt fat, we all know the drill), and in the end had the accident which changed her face a little. She will always have my support as an artist no matter what she looks like 💙

it's rude, she fell on her fucking face what do you expect? to keep a mangled face?
i think this video can definitely rub people the wrong way. it briefly mentions wendy's accident and almost makes it seem like her surgery was voluntary. just me tho idk
Honestly I LOVED her more downward tipped nose. I feel like it suited her face so much more than the now upturned nose
Yeah I gotta agree with this. Her nose was cute.
I thought in kpop everyone loves to got a high bridge nose to fit the beauty standards
imo her eye corners have never changed, I see absolutely no difference there; BUT her eyelids have changed soo much. She went from having subtle, natural double eyelids to having thick parallel eyelids. Other than that, the jaw shave + multiple rhinoplasties have made the biggest change in her appearance.
She’s unrecognizable. It’s sad she feels she needs to do so much to her face
She had an extremely serious injury…she fell off a stage and had serious damage. She had fractures to her face, to her pelvis, and to her wrist. Do research before you say things like this.
@@wavetororo she had a lot of surgeries before the fall. Do your research
@@8luvbug We’re talking about AFTER the fall…people are saying she looks unrecognizable AFTER the fall and AFTER she got surgery after the fall.
@@wavetororo you’re so naive. Accidents like that don’t change your entire face. She was getting plastic surgery way before the accident
Kpop fans live in Egypt by the Nile.
Your should update this video she's completely changed her face now

We can't be denied that her face had changed before she had that accident. after the accident, the plastic surgery was even more gruesome to the point that I didn't recognize her old face anymore. I think she was already beautiful from the happiness era, but it seems she is not satisfied with the shape of her nose and jawline.
Plastic surgery can be addicting
and quite PAINFUL!!! Imagine having your face bandaged up with black eyes waiting to heal!
I can't imagine what goes on through idols' (and many young koreans) heads to do so much so early.
societal pressure. it's been normalized in their society. there are apparently ads for ps everywhere esp when u visit gangnam.
It’s scary the pressures they face and the long term effects of procedures they may feel pressured or forced to undergo
right i feel like plastic surgery is so scary, imagine how terrifying it would be to look in the mirror and not recognize your own familiar features

here 10 months later, i did think this was a recent video tho.
Same that’s literally why I searched this I just feel like she’s a completely different person every time I see her she doesn’t look like herself at all anymore and it’s a shame because she was stunning in happiness era it’s always sad when someone changes their face that much
Thats exactly what I was thinking, Wendy literally looks unrecognisable in their recent comeback
Moreover, Wendy did not gain any significant amount of weight between 2018 and 2019 which would warrant such a change in facial fullness (check out the 6:02 mark!)
Thank you for your comment!😊
They literally mention that…
well she's hella skinny now since that Stamp On it. And that's where I noticed yet again another change.
and you too should take the fact that she did some surgery. the surgery for health is different from surgery for beauty. don't denying. wendy can do whatever she want. is not a shame for doing surgery for idol, the changes is for us the fans. if she want to be more beauty. so what's the matter?
the list just kept going LMFOAOAO
man, I wish my nose would've reduced its size since I lost 15 kg. Just as some stans claim it works.

Surgery is part and parcel for this visual driven industry, wish there was an overall lesser stigma towards work done as it's such an obvious open "secret". However, by the same token, it's disconcerting how much work is done to meet a standard.
Red Velvet Wendy, gorgeous every era! The makeup team at SM has stepped up to even a higher level in recent years.
😭😭😭
6:54 You're absolutely wrong, since wendy has done another procedure on her face in 2023
omg, why do you care so much? i'm scrolling and scrolling interested in the comments and i keep seeing each of your comments that you keep typing every few months.. i even saw you in a different video... this is honestly insane
Idfc, she looks so beautiful.
Best comment, cheers 🥂

It's WILD celebs get this done with cameras on them every few days. Not to mention, as proven here, literally your entirely different natural face and every change since then is logged and stored on the internet for all to see. I absolutely adore Wendy but with the CONSTANT procedures I fear she's either addicted or needs therapy and not a plastic surgeon in order for her to not look awful at 40. This video is also just another reminder that you're not ugly, you're just poor. Soo many celebs (including many idols) aren't good enough looking to debut anywhere but the companies spend big and they debut pretty. Props to the very rare idols who haven't gotten work done.
little harsh assuming someone you don't know at all needs therapy don't you think?
@@lola7995 everyone needs therapy in general, but the ones you want a doctor to slice and dice their face so they will look different because they don't like how they look? Yeah, I have no problem saying therapy should be required beforehand.
@@nathanp2007 who are you to judge a woman in her decisions when it comes to plastic surgery? don't you have bigger problems to worry about, for instance something that DOES concern you and actually affects your life?
@@lola7995 lol. I judge more than women and we all judge everything everyone does. Don't be naive. Your judgement might come out as positive so you feel good but sometimes it's negative just like everyone else. I'm not debating this with some random ass person in a RUclips comment section. Lol. I made my comment, don't like it? Downvote and move on.
@@lola7995 We are on a video discussing a very young woman getting years of plastic surgery. What else are we supposed talk about? She can do what she wants but we can also comment on it. We're not being mean. We're just humans expressing opinions and discussing things we find concerning.
Wendy and Rose showcase how double eyelid surgery changes your face.
I love her but she should have stopped at the two eye surgeries and first rhino. she’s going to age like Bom if she doesn’t stop.
Edit:coming back to this now that she looked like miyeon in the chill kill mv
I also saw the difference her face after "like water". Did she do the surgery again ?
@@Nini-sk1trmost likely

Jungwoo from NCT?
She looks so scary now
Also her in 2022 was her best imo
i feel like the best word is uncanny because the work she has done is to much,
it's so sad that she felt she had to change her nose, after she went back she looked so different I was like what sis she do to her face?
If her cheekbone are broken, why would she change her nose although her nose bone isn't broken??
@@ForæverMY exactly the problem wasn’t her nose, if you look at pics from before the accident compared to after you can see she got a nose job and a nose implant, he nose was so charming before but it’s a real shame she felt the need to change it
She looks great then and she looks great now. Personally loved her before surgeries, but it was unavoidable considering the cheek reconstruction; that said, now she looks ethereal.
ofc a lot would change. look at how much weight she's lost aside from the surgeries from her fall.
Well they say that her cheek bone was broken but she also got her nose done
I was just thinking how i didn’t even recognize her in the birthday music video
I don't care about those possibilities, all i know is my love never change for Wendy and she is still my favourite kpop idol since 2014 😍💙
I don't know if you've noticed but she got even more lip filler after the stamp on it comeback and she even has filler migration now. it's very noticeable in her recent pictures going to her radio show.
Bro, k-pop fans are disgusting.. first making fun of her cuz she was "fat" then getting mad cuz she lost weight and she wasn't taking care of herself, now a full video criticizing her looks now... Less complain avoid artists destroying their faces and bodies, is not rocket science...
where is the criticism in this video?
Would be really curious about Taeyeon and all of Aespa! Love your videos
She is my bias, and it's sad that she lacks confidence in her looks. Her debut face was beautiful and more natural. Nowadays, her lip fillers and weight loss seem excessive, and her eyes look different too 😢
She started looking like she was mixed after the accident
I keep hearing this comment. Mixed with what?
i noticed the obvious changes once she came back from hiatus but not the ones she got over the years prior wow 😦 i always thought she was so pretty during happiness/automatic then smth changed that i couldn't pinpoint which was the nose.
She literally fell 10 feet and had to get reconstruction surgery
@@pettyisgreat1288 lmao learn how to read, she said ALLLLLLLLLL the procedures she had prior to the fall. explain THOSE.
@@pettyisgreat1288 she still looked different from her debut days even before her fall. you cant blame her face changing on her fall. there are people who had reconstructive surgery on their face and still looked the same as before.

Love it. Keep them coming!
I, for one am grateful she continues to get more refined as an artist and gives us wonderful, memorable performances.
she is beautiful no matter what surgery she has or hasnt had!
She looks f*cking creepy, she doesn't even look like herself anymore.
She had subtle work done before then but now especially after the incident, she changed a lot . Either way I hope she doing better
thank u so much for this channel
The bleaching of her skin to look more white should have been an obvious feature.
Does anyone else think that basically Wendy’s endgame seems to be Taeyeon?
You are not wrong with the title most of these idols need to be told when there going to far, before they begin to look like blow up dolls.
she did it because she had to, how many times must i tell that she had an accident which required her to do so.
in fact, if idols do it, it's up to them, they use their own money. doesn't affect your life. whether they will look like later, that's their business.
