LOL.. I LIVED IN THE BLDG ,, Next door as a child..went to St Nicks / Tolentine.. actually set fire to my bed as a child 6-8 yrs old.. still remember the White Helmet yelling at me. Same apt front A & courtyard . Went on and did 30+ yrs..FD.
Very unusual to see members on fire escape sending water into a room occupied by members sending water out through the same window. This looked kind of dangerous to me.
Gotta Love the guys in the peanut gallery who have no fing clue what went on here. Guy in the bucket, before this video even started was already in that room up to his ass in heat and smoke and got chased out by fire after a 45 second primary. Heavy clutter, couldn’t close the bedroom door to isolate. After jumped into the bucket to save himself from getting incinerated he waited for the fire to be knocked down so he could assist with the remaining room searches. The 2nd truck was in floor above at this time. Bucket ff entered through bottom sash of throat window leaving it intact, he did not draw the fire you ass clown. The FF on the pedestal was a control man from an engine put up there to push and hold the rotation override switch and drive the bucket as the green light was lost due to a crown in the street so it had to be overridden manually from the pedestal. STFU
I love it when the peanut gallery chimes in. You have no idea what you are talking about. At the time this video starts the firefighter in the bucket has already completed a primary search of that front room. He was up to his ears in smoke, heat and was chased out of the window by heavy fire into the bucket. He entered by opening a window sash and crawling in, he did not take the window and draw fire. You are a clown. The firefighter on the turntable is an engine control man that was grabbed to man the pedestal by said 46 LCC to activate the rotation override switch and position the bucket as the inboard sensor would not light due to a crown in the street. ( this override must be manned at all times ) Once the fire erupts out the windows the duo stand fast and monitor all windows for victims until the fire is knocked down and then bucket firefighter reenters apartment for additional search. You have no fing clue.

You fight a fire like this from the inside. If you hit a room like that from the outside, you push the fire back into the building, right into the members accessing it with the interior lines stretch. Not good. You saw how quickly they hit the fire pit with the interior lines. 👍
That was a joke, I fought fires for thirty years. I never failed to lay a line for any fire that wasn't obviously small. That was my Chief's biggest no, no, running out of water.
Dammmm this brother is Dispatcher 475 is off the hook, he's good . Outstanding.
Dispatcher rocked this call. Guys like beefman and warren fuchs would be proud.
Dispatcher did an amazing job
hearing additional units announcing available is impressive. They understand their brothers/sisters are in a jam
Impeccable job by the the dispatcher👌. Every emergency responders wet dream.
Great catch. I like hearing the fireground noises, radio calls
Great video and audio, FDNY had their hands full with this fire. Prayers for the victims of this incident.

FDNY dispatchers rock!

Thats some amazing video!
Engine 75 gotta be one of the busiest engines in the city.
2 opposing lines? guys on the fire escape getting smacked from inside hose.
There was floor to ceiling clutter conditions, first line couldnt make the seat of the fire from the interior
42 Engine pushing to go to this second alarm.!!
What the heck was the FF in 46 bucket doing ?
Absolutely nothing. Along with the guy on the pedestal.
Hope it wasn’t him that caused that front fire escape to become unusable. Pulled the fire clear across the apartment

🎉great job superheroes 🎉
All these positive comments, but I can barely understand him. What apartment?
great video except for the annoying fade in/out of text. either put it on or just leave it off.
No worries. You will see a bit of water going on that far until they get done cleaning out the building, and then you'll see them put the water on it.
Considering the amount of fire trucks on scene, it tskes a hell of a long time to get any water on the damn fire...
Fire Trucks don’t have water or pumps.
@@azul8811 I didn't say they did.
@@ozymandias7940 So then, please explain the relevance of your citing the number of TRUCK COMPANIES to getting water on the fire?
@azul8811 Multiple fire trucks already on the scene, but no water flowing. What's the delay Mr know it all?
@@ozymandias7940 I’ll answer your question after you’ve answered mine. Does that sound fair & reasonable?
My teacher was in this fire
PLEASE WHEN YOU PUT FD CODES IN A FIRE VIDEO TELL PEO0LE WHAT THEY MEAN LIKE 10 75 PEOPLE OUTSIDE OF NYFD DO NOT KNOW WHAT THE CODES ARE
Must be hard to keep the camera on the fire?
What’s a 10-45?
Body ,possibly dead

🎉what does 10.45 mean? Is it victims
Yes
Yes, typically means civilian injuries. A code typically follows for how severe the injury is.
@@TheSailboatofNoobs ah thankyou

Manhat family on fire.😂😅😂
Looks like a booster hose fire for me and my crew.
You have no crew and you've never worked a fire in your life.
