Awesome coverage of the physical rescue itself, as well as the aftermath and the press briefing! You got great footage. Huge respect to the members of Rescue 1, Ladder 25, Engine 74 and all the other companies and first responders working on that scene and many others.
Thanks for watching
FDNY is very popular around the World
Of course
Rescue 1 just another day in the office
Yup!
Good job taking the video. This justifies everything FDNY prepares for. Keep up the good work
Thanks for watching
Now these are heroes! These firemen did an excellent job.
Training training training
@@SkylerFire This was training or they done a good job because of training.
@@letmeguesssomeonestoleyour8246 done a good job because of training
Wow, great video Skyler! FDNY does it again!
Thanks
I liked that... " It's what we do." Perfectly said.
Thanks
Great well done footage of a very well executed operation by FDNY Skylar!
Thanks
"It's all the same apartment, Chief!" -- Heh. Outstanding work, which is everyday-normal for FDNY. No doubt there will be plenty of merciless razzing in store for FF Dinkel back at the firehouse kitchen. Many thanks for catching all of this on video... great job!
Thanks for watching
Think you meant "High angle", but the title is perfect.
Whoops typo thanks
Thank Heavenly Father for HEROS like these great firemen !!
I can't imagine life without HEROS like our FIREMEN/WOMEN and our POLICEMEN. So thankful for them. GA. U.S.A.
For sure!
Classic FDNY
Yup
That was elite how the FDNY executed the maneuver. Got to love the firemen.
Yup for sure
Like I always said FDNY are the best in the world!!!
Yup
Mildly disagree. They're good at operations, but imo they should train to have more handlines on a fire. Most of the examples I've seen there's only 1-2 handlines on some MASSIVE FIRES.
IMHO LAFD does fire supression better.
Great job FDNY. Awesome catch Skyler!
Thanks
One of your best videos. Thanks for the coverage Brother!!
Thanks so much
EXCELLENT job gentlemen ! You can question anyone of those Hero’s and they’ll all say the same thing , it’s a team operation . No 1 man can preform a rescue of this nature by themselves . And like he said , his confidence comes for his fellow FF’s and their training . One minute eating lunch the next minute hanging off the side of a building . Awesome job FDNY . Stay safe out there 🤘🏻
Yup 100%
Chief seems rather superfluous. Those guys know what they're doing without dictating instructions. However I don't understand why they just don't use the ladder truck.
Hahaha yup
What Fantastic Footage and Coverage Skyler!👍👏 Great Work as Usual by the FDNY!👍👏
Malcolm Cossar yes indeed... this video needs to be nominated for an award of some kind. It’s excellent.... more of a documentary than your typical fire buff video.
Glad you enjoyed it
well trained talented pros all in a days work, great job by all involved, great vid thanks for sharing Skyler....Scott
Thanks for watching
Good job Skyler!! Really good video and coverage!!
Thanks
“And That’s how it’s done”
Hell yeah!
Thanks for watching.

F.D.N.Y I love them guy's Best Fire Dept in the World And I'm not saying that Because I was Born and Raised in Brooklyn New York 🤣
Yup thanks
I would need serious therapy after this, thank you all for your service! 😊
NYC FIREFIGHTERS COOLEST CATS IN TOWN.....
Thanks
They Love what they do and the key word for every firefighter is TRAINING, TRAINING, TRAINING. Like the military. You train until it becomes as natural as opening your eyes every morning to DO IT ALL AGAIN. That is what brotherhood means to all of them. They can each do each other's job...without thinking.
100% correct
@@SkylerFire Job is not for the faint of heart. I regret not taking the job. I passed the written exam. I did not think that I was good enough for the physical. I passed the Montreal FD exam. Only thing: I did not speak French!
Great job as always. But surprise, they didn’t have a couple of tower or ladders up underneath them.
I would think that would put them in the path of the moving scaffolding if it should let go.
That would do nothing but put the ladders at risk. If someone or something falls there is no saving. Great work and perfect execution on this one
They were on the 10th floor. Too high for any tower ladder. As for an aerial, even if the ladder could reach the floor, it would be only just very barely, and in reality, probably would not even reach. Even if you could put the ladder tip on the ledge, it would be too short to safely get the guy off the ledge and way too short to disconnect the guy from his tether.
It’s to high
Nice job fdny. Americas best ! Stay safe ! 🇺🇸
Thanks for watching
Skyler Fire thank U. 33 Yrs in service & I still learn new ways to do things 👍. im backing my Brothers down there in the city of sin ! They always amaze !! Back the Blue 🚒🇺🇸
Love FDNY! They even send engines to calls like this. Because you never know what type of equipment you will need.
why not use the tower?
Up too high.
To high tower can’t reach that high
@@SkylerFire how does a big city department like NY not have a ladder that can go up 10 stories... thats what 100 feetish.... even my department has a tower that goes to 105 feet and im on a smaller career department
Because it would take to long to get there anyway! Do you know what NY traffic is? I guess not
@@joe0813 Joe, I understand that FDNY recently looked at a Bronto skylift. I don't know if they made a decision on getting it. They have 100ft aerials obviously but you have to remember two things: first, using 10 ft. per floor for a rule of thumb for residential buildings is exactly that: a rule of thumb. It's possibly more in a high rise like that but even if not, in that type of building, the first floor is very often commercial and has higher ceilings than the upper floors. Even if the first floor is not commercial, it is often a lobby floor and again, has higher ceilings. I didn't google map it but that would tell the tale. Second, by the time you lose the width of the sidewalk, and the parked cars, and the spread of the jacks, you've lost several feet of ladder length by the time you drop it into the building.
Tremendous / Excellent Work by the FDNY Members on this Job . Much thanks for this Post 👍
Thanks so much

@@SkylerFire agreed!
Always and forever my heroes! Even at age 27. I wouldn't be a firefighter if it wasn't for them! My hometown fire department. Wish I was a firefighter with the FDNY. I'm still with my department that I started with when I was a sophomore in college.

This is awesome work, great job! Exceptional!
Thanks for watching
What was prohibiting them from setting up the ladder?
It’s the 10th floor. They don’t reach that high….
Why didn’t they just get these guys using Tower Ladder?????
Doesn’t reach that high….
An for those of u who think repelling is easy, think again. It takes years of training to learn an be somewhat proficient. Being a firefighter its mandatory that every brother have some basic high angle rescue training. But we do have a specific crew that specialize in it more than others. Once u get it, its addictive an a very expensive hobby as well lol. Remember folks complacency kills, always check your gear, i dont care how good u think u are. Check an recheck. Nobody will look out for u like u will.
God Bless Our fire fighters and Rescues

Way to go
Yeah they did a great job
Awesome work
Thanks a lot 😊
Get er done
Yup
How many floors up can the ladder trucks reach? Did they not have room to extend that far? Good job though! Glad they were okay
7-8 stories is the max in most cases….. due to anything over 7 stories in NYC is considered a high rise so it is fire proof and has sprinklers for fires. In this case it wasn’t a fire but there is nothing to reach that high that any fire dept has in the states
@@SkylerFire that makes sense. I just googled it, looks like the tallest ladder truck in the US reaches about 13 floors, but that's very extreme. Thanks for your reply!
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Yup
nice save... there'll be a little something extra in his next paycheck
Doesn’t work like that. He was doing his job
Thank U FDNY😭...Good men coming 2 help our fellow men in a life threatening situation. Dallas Fire,Fort Worth Fire, Grapevine, Irving, Arlington, we love our fire fighter's 2
