Creative Nomad Jukebox DAP - hdd mp3 player from 2000 (parcel unboxing and first look) ASMR

In this video I’m unboxing a parcel with Creative Nomad Jukebox Digital Audio Player - one of the early hdd mp3 players that I always wanted to check. Condition was not known - surprisingly it is in perfect working state (despite they are known for having lots of aging problems, i.e. with bios chips). Enjoy.)

Wonder how long this one will keep working before it bricks? I believe the actual problem can be the Atmel flash BIOS chip, which has a data retention life of about 20 years, and given the Nomad Jukeboxes are over 20 years old now.

Yep, we'll see indeed. For now I'll just keep it in my collection for occasional usage.

I just found out that mine died. On the screen apears " Corrupted code". Already preparing to repair it to change the flash memory.

I used to have one in batteries only used to last me like four minutes. Lol
