Your setup in that guitar really is the best of the best "strat" setup you can have. Those bridges are made really well, and with the right setup perform extremely well. Even with a locking nut, once they are dialed in, they will never go out of tune. I think the modern, most used setup is that bridge with a good set of locking tuners. As long as the nut is cut well, and well lubricated it will absolutely stay in tune, and last for decades.
I saw a cool thing the other day. GraphTec makes this nut called the Unlock. It’s made out of their slippery stuff and sits on the shelf where a Floyd locking nut would normally go.
I had a 1980 G&L F-150 It had an old school two point trem and no locking tuners. It stayed in better tune than my Schecter Evil Twin with an FR 1,500. Facts
