Hi, I have X390 Lenovo, and my problem is that the pointer moves to the borders of the screen and don't let me move it. Maybe you know how to fix it? If I restart the computer, it works for 1 or maybe 2 minutes, but then start moving to the corners and don't let me move any mouse or TouchPad or Trackpad

Have you tried clean it thoroughly or it could be faulty.

I have the Lenovo thinkpad T420 and the 4 buttons around the touchpad just quit working and I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers and tried checking all the places that different people have put information online to enable them and everything I have checked is enabled and nothing has been wrong but the buttons still will not work but the trackpad will move the curser but I cannot even double tap the pad and get it to accept anything, any ideas. Thanks

but be an actual hardware fault you could check cables or replace

My touch pad works for a while & then freezes up. Now it might be hard ware as yesterday I carried it around school & it defintly hit the ground a few times & was with heavy folders but Like I am an eejit & assumed if it survived falling of my bed twice, being hit by a switch blade & all maner of things that would've destroyed a Dell laptop or something that it was kinda fine without being in a proper bag so how'd I know if its software or hard ware. Also the touch point also stopped working & my best short term fix is a mouse that has middle & left click but its right click is banjacks (no Idea how to spell that)

Rarely works, but try wetting your finger in the simplest manner possible - put it in mouth. In my case it works :)

@@KrzysiuNet I think after a week of it I have worked out the problem. I think due to the fact that if you hold the laptop at an odd angle the track pad works best that the problem is the wire is loose or something. But I am not willing to try & rip it apart to fix it but maybe at some point I'll have the guts to try it when I find a screw driver & some tools that can help. But I will try the wetting thing just to see if it fixes it.

@@cillianennis9921 yeah, dismantling isn't always the best approach and indeed it seems like signal cable issue or even microfractures of mainboard. And remember buttons are usually annoying to re-insert once you removed them.

@@KrzysiuNet Yeah that's why for now I am just keeping to the mouse but if I really want to fix it I may try it but at the moment I can live with it.

if you eliminate all software issues then it only leaves a hardware failure.
