  • I decided to put this video together because of the popularity of my video titled "Mandolin Tips for Guitar Players". (Check that one out also!) It occurred to me that there are probably many violin players out there in the world that have never played mandolin but would be interested in getting some tips to point them in the right direction... so this video is for you!
Please subscribe, like and comment if you dig what I'm doing!
If you haven't already, you can check out my website www.isaaceiche... and see what's going on over there! There's already special news there that will be announced here soon!
Here's a link to my instructional videos for purchase on my site- www.isaaceiche...

A really good way that Violinists could get started w/ Mandolin would be to play the music from the Suzuki Violin School method series on Mandolin as it's all the same tuning but it's easier to play in tune w/ the frets & easier to make a good sound w/ a Pick.

That was awesome! Thanks! So much great information in such a short period of time. And, all the lingo, calling notes, positions, etc. perfectly described when talking to another lifelong musician.

    9:32 Like pre-fretting?...
No, I am not a violinist (I took guitar lessons for 2 months), but I figured I should watch this video anyway.

Thanks for asking. More like letting the A and E strings ring, then keep picking new notes on the G and D strings and letting the instrument sustain chord sounds the whole time
