A beautiful 1959 USA Fender Duo-Sonic Guitar in Desert Sand with the Original Tan Bulwin Hard Shell Case....
This guitar is in incredible shape. When we got it, it was missing the logo decal. They are put directly on over the finish from the factory. They do flake or fall off over time. We found a beautiful Fender Replacement and installed, it looks great. See pic 7. It also didn’t have knobs. We found a set of Fender reproduction relic’d knobs that look correct on this cool guitar. Other than that, it is completely original!
I especially love the rally cool Desert Sand color. Its been really well taken care of. Only one area on the back that is scratched..See pic 12….The finish color looks so cool…You cannot replicate that look. With the Faded White original pickguard and the brown pickup covers, this is the color combo you want in one of these. It was Fenders most popular…I love the look!
This fantasic Fender Duo-Sonic guitar has dings and scratches as you would expect from a guitar of this vintage. The wear is all player wear and not abuse. Its worn in all the right places…see pics... The pickups sounds massive and the action is low and set up great. Original Pickguard, tailpiece, knobs, Double line Kluson Tuners and everything. It even still has the bridge cover. How many times have you seen one of those with these guitars?? This is a time capsule that some lucky guitar player or collector will love to own. Check out the pics of this beauty. Its awesome!
This cool Fender guitar has a short 22 1/2 inch scale neck. The nut measures 1 ½ inch. Very manageable neck with a nice round C profile. The action is set whisper low for really fast playing. Our Techs do a great job!
As cool as the guitar is, the original case is also fantastic. It’s a Tan Bulwin Case made in CA…The latches, handle and hinges are all correct and still operating. The Orange felt lining is still there and in good shape. What a time capsule this guitar and case is… I would get a modern case to travel in. This cool vintage case belongs under your bed to keep it together.
This guitar is being sold as-is no returns as its vintage and used. However, I have been hand picking my customers guitars for over 20years now and they have all loved the instruments I found them. This cool Fender will certainly not be an exception.

got the exact hump in the exact same place on my 1960 desert sand duosonic pickguard. the suckers have unbelievable tone and the tone knob, pickups are unreal on these. the duosonic neck pickup is amazing if you set it just right the guitar can even sound lie an acoustic. these are well worth the expense

Brilliant! I have the new 2016 offset Duo-Sonic in red. Currently in a guitar tech hands being set up. I have old fenders and co, so know how that old sounds --- just superb!

I love my 59 so much as a kid that I use to go to sleep with me in my bed, haha!
My mom picked it up for $150.00 (Cdn). From a farmer who's son never really played it that much. It sat under the bed for 28 yrs without being opened. My mom thought it might be too old for me to play.
