Hey everybody! Apologies, I forgot to add the Mach 2 Forza to the list. I would put it in the A-tier and I'll correct that in the next one.
Love the tier list. Keep updating it as you go. Great job.
Thank you!
Great informative video . Definitely continue to do this . Thank you .
Thank you, and will do!
100% keep these tier lists coming.
Great content! Love this update. Keep the list going!
Will do!
Your statements about the old Franklin Ben Johns fiberglass paddle struck a cord as I miss that feeling when I use pure carbon fiber paddles. Got the Black Diamond and I like the way it hits.
Great, incedibly comprehesive video. Things are changing so quickly that it must be tough to keep on top of it all plus you’re constrain by what your store chooses to bring in. I have been playing with the Mark Pickleball, Kinetic paddle, the hybrid shape. It checks all the boxes for me right now at a very competitive price. I’m wondering what the public thinks about how this compares to the Ruby.
I continue to look forward to each of your videos. Thanks for all you do.
Thank you very much!
Any chance you are going to review the new kevlar option from Honolulu Pickleball Company, the sword & shield J2k?
We're trying to bring them in and if we do I definitely will!
no mach 2 forza is sus. also i think what you're missing on the forza line is the forgiveness of the paddles especially the mach 2 forza not only is the spin at the top of the game but the paddle gives you more consistency on shots you miss the ideal sweetspot. and extremely beneficial for tennis players coming in that hit hard but want the ball to spin into the court. food for thought... channel is dope though! thanks for all the great info
Thank you! I keep trying to get the same feeling as a lot of other people with the Forza but I'm not getting there. I'll take it out in my next session to figure it out once and for all.
what would be excellent is if you can overlay a price chart so we can get a clear view of cost beneift. or put them into less than 100, less than 150, less than 200 etc
I'll definitely keep that in mind.
Glad to see the Ruby up there
What paddles do you recommend for an athletic group of beginners? Just a random 4 pack off of amazon? Looking to likely spend less than $50 a paddle, but if the value is much better for a little more we would consider that. Thanks!
If you're just going to go out and have fun then do that, that's totally fine. If down the line you realize you want to start playing more because you enjoy it so much (which is likely), there are plenty of options in that $100-150 range.
This video is fun to watch. Keep doing this
Thank you!
Looks like a good breakdown. Wish i knew what the tiers meant. Would be nice to have a link to that earlier video where you explained them
Will do in the next video. It's a bit like a grading system (S is in its own, very high, tier).
It's a common website used by many content creators. It utilizes a grading system wherein S-Tier is best of the best or "God" tier down to D-Tier, which is not good or "trash."
OM Aero1 deserves some testing and review, my favorite paddle so far. I've used SixZero Ruby, Ronbus R2, Diadem Warrior Edge 2, Players Rogue 2 Carbon, Labs 006, and Volar Mach 1. My least favorite was the Warrior Edge 2. Top ones are the Ruby, R2.16, and OM Aero1.
OM Aero for sure.
When you moved the Hyperion C2 to A-tier, you said that there are newer paddles that do everything that the Hyperion does but better. Which paddles are those?
The Gearbox Pro Power paddles.
I’ve been playing with a Vatic Pro Flash 16 mm for exactly a year now. I’ve won a couple 3.0 tournaments with it and love the paddle still but I want something new to replenish grit as my shots are getting more spinny and hopefully get a longer grip. Not sure why I’m turned off by the DBD and Ruby tho. Maybe an elongated? Do you have any recommendations that come to mind quick?
Try something with the Joola "Aero Curve" shape, if you want to move into elongated paddles.
Have you tested the Thrive Azul yet? I just ordered it after waiting and attempting unsuccessfully for months to get the Ruby. Very excited to finally upgrade from my Onix Z5.
I have not yet, we don't carry it so unfortunately I can't review it.
Any Holbrook reviews?
Any chance of adding the Spartus Apollo to the list?
What about the new 11six24 control+?
We have contacted them!
Am I wrong, or do you not rank any yoola paddles?
Any thoughts on the Spartus Apollo? Great videos thank you.
We haven't brought them in yet.
Gotta get you to try the Spartus Gladius Centurion if you like the V7 that much
How about the engage paddles?
Would love to see a review of the neonic flow!!
Do a RUclips search; many are available.
@@richarde1355no one asked for your opinion Richarde
Yeah, big fan of this paddle. I also have the Ruby on pre-order and hoping to have it in hand within a few weeks. Even more excited after seeing the S-tier rating for it!
I believe we're bringing them in.
I just got my Flow in yesterday and it doesn’t quite play the way I thought it would according to other reviews. Except for the spin being super high, the grit of the CF on the Flow is pronounced. The Neonic Force’s face feels almost smooth in comparison
What about the J2K and the J2K Pro? Great paddles
We're trying to bring them in!
Where would you place the B&B Shogun?
I haven't played with it yet but I've got a good feeling about it.
Really the Selkirks? For like one game. The Grit Paint on those wear too fast. I do not use the Mach 2 Forza, but holy cow, when I saw it in action it was brutal. Anyhow must be nice to review paddles without any statistics or real data analysis. Did you rate these based on their sales from the website?
I think the main issue with RR reviews is Luca only reviews or tiers paddles that RR sells. I agree with others, the M2F should be on the list by now especially because he reviewed it.
Yes, I should have added that in.
What tier would you rank the selkirk vanguard power air s2?
I would say B-Tier now.
I've been playing with the Infinity Black Diamond for two weeks. For 14 months prior to that, the Project 003 Inviktas...which are very similar to the LUXX Control Air Invicta. I get more pop, more spin, more power, and all of the control I need from the Infinity Diamond compared to the Project 003. And I don't feel that the sweet spot is smaller than the Project 003's. (I'm confident in my assessment because I'm comparing two new paddles. This particular Project 003 paddle has only been played in two tournaments. It still has its surface grit.)
I've read that the original run of the Infinities had a lower twist weight. Did you rate a paddle from the original run? Because the one I have from March 2024 is an improvement over the Project 003 in my hands. I have no complaints about an unforgiving sweet spot. And believe me, if it had an unforgiving sweet spot , I'd be the first to suffer. My new paddle might be a 6.0 but I'm not!!!
I'm glad I watched the John Kew review that specifically reviewed the Infinity in depth before I saw this video. I really like the Infinity Diamond but this review would have steered me away from it.. To each his own, I guess. Go with what works for you.
BTW: I depend heavily on spin. That Selkirk spray on grit doesn't last. I have high hopes that the peel ply surface of the Infinity fiberglass face will give me more service life than the Selkrk surface.
Glad it's working out for you. Mine was from the original batch so let's see what happens with the next one.
You need to add Hudef Viva Gen 2
Any plans to review the paddletek bantam ALW-C
We don't carry Paddletek at the moment but if we bring them in I certainly will.
Would be great if you could also include the price somewhere on the graphic as well!
Can do!
Is the Ruby not good for a beginner? I rather just buy the best and not have to upgrade?
It's a great paddle for beginners!
Thoughts on Carbon Pickle paddles?
Not sure...
any thoughts on the honolulu sword and shield and the aiso centric?
We're bringing in Honolulu Pickleball very soon!
I have 14mm . I’m female player who likes the power and pop. I added tape at 4 & 8 o’clock
What is the "best" paddle depends as much on the user as the paddle itself. Too many people are looking for the "best" paddle which will make them better automatically. When the Pro Kennex Black Ace came out, it was the "best" power paddle. When the 6.0 DBD came out, it was the "best" paddle all around. When the Gearbox Pro Power came out, it was the "best paddle ever". My point is, that "best" is subjective and a moving target. Find a paddle that plays to your style, and do not select your paddle because x number of people say it is the best. For me, the Apes PLE is the best, but that is because it suits my game. I don't need help generating power, but have benefitted from its ability to soften shots at the net and for resets.
Definitely! I'm just trying to explain how different characteristics stack up against each other but nothing will ever beat out good ol' personal preference.
Have you played Legacy Pro and Hudef Gen 2? I think they're #2 and #3 elongated paddles behind the GB PPe.
I haven't played with either unfortunately.
Love the Hudef Pro
But how can a Pickleball god get sick?
not sure what the different ‘tiers’ are and what is the ’S’ designation?
S-tier is the best and it works like a grading system.
Hurache-X?
We're in contact with them!
Are you going to pre-order the B&B Shogun?
Yes!
@@RacketsandRunnersPickleball do you by chance have a discount code for the Shogun?
Need to do a new one with the proton
where would you put the j2k sword and shield
I haven't played with them quite yet.
Yonex has come out with their plus models and they’re pretty solid.
Interesting, may have to give them a shot.
I'd put Electrum E near the CRBN I think they are pretty comparable
Definitely agree to a certain extent I just think the shape is a little better on the CRBN
Why are there no ProKennex paddles listed? I might have missed the reason in the video.
We just don’t carry them right now, unfortunately.
Thoughts on Diadem?
We don't carry them anymore, unfortunately.
What about the Legacy Pro?
We don't carry it.
Friday paddles
For sure a "deep dive" of a list. You did not consider "grit life" durability, cost, or customer service. All ratings were "performance" based which is fine, just wanted to mention other reasons for choosing a paddle
I also believe that the Ruby is WAY overhyped ... there are several Ruby twins which cost much less and perform as well if not better.
There are a lot of other good kevlar paddles but I wouldn't say the Ruby is overhyped. It's great, it's just now got a bit of competition.
No Hudef paddles?
We haven't brought them in yet, unfortunately.
Honolulu J2K has way better numbers than the Ruby, you should try to get that compagnie in
We've contacted them!
how come the Mach 2 Forza is not on this list?
He hasn’t tested it yet.
he made a video reviewing it
And forget about it?
@@HowieB-isMe3885 I don't know maybe he recorded this video before that one
🎾
Everyone is sleeping on the Gruvn Muvn line
Alchemy in C tier is quite harsh.
what about J2k?
We're looking into getting them!
No Maverix Havik-16?
Unfortunately, we don't carry it yet.
Where are the Diadem paddles?
Same question
We don't carry them, unfortunately.
New tier list ASAP please!
Gotta test a few more first!
Why don't you carry the Gruvin Muvin?
We haven't really established a relationship with the company yet.
@@RacketsandRunnersPickleball thanks for your answer🙏
What about the filth
Neonic Flow not list worthy?
It wasn't in yet when we made the list but it's a great paddle and will be high up on the next one.
Mo Marc 2 Forza?
I accidentally left it out but it would go A-Tier.
Any reason why all you influencers have been ignoring Legacy? Got some hype in beginner but no one talks about them now. Not one review of their 14 mm Pro….
We never decided to bring them in as logistically it was a bit difficult.
I have a CRBN 1X/GB Pro Control Elongated/Mach 1 Forza so apparently I’m stuck in the A zone 🫠 maybe one day I’ll get to S tier
Fine place to be 'stuck'!! That's a nice inventory of paddles...
What the heck is an S tier?
Generally, it's the highest tier in these tier list style of videos.
INSUM T800 T1000 those have to be on anyones list thats serious!!!!
Well, we know what someone plays with. Lol
@@abstractheory1 it a good paddle at a cheap price!!
There are WAY too many paddle options. They need to chill out lol
No gruvin muvin 13 s. 🤣😂😢🤬
Considering he only reviews paddles that they sell, I prefer Brandon at PB Effect, PB Will, Chris PB Studio and of course JohnKew.
He has the Electrum Elite in B category. I've seen this guy play and he's not good at all. The Electrum Elite is one hell of a paddle that is a sleeper among paddles. It's really good and has phenomenal power. It belongs in at least A tier. If you were a good player, I would have more respect about this list but i've seen you play. Pro line energy apes has zero power.
1v1 me Model E Elite vs Pro Line Energy S 😅
@@RacketsandRunnersPickleball Gladly. What state are you in? Cali ?
I think you tallk tooo much.
I agree
He only rates those he is selling
Don’t think there’s a problem with that. It’s his company, he’s got a majority of the major paddles here anyway. Viewers can move on if they don’t like this lol
