Thank you for the tip! I make mostly goat's milk soap for face & body. Good to know that I only need essential oil & fruit zest for making a dish bar from it! Looking for alternate & frugal ways to do dishes to save money, cut waste, & become eco friendly.

You've inspired me to make the switch to soap bars! I've actually found that using the clear melt and pour soap base is better at making a lot of bubbles and also has good decreasing action compared to the shea butter soap base. Try it next time!

Thanks Laura -- another brilliant idea. Here is a thought. I could see someone using a pair of those body scrub gloves to do the dishes with, and first rubbing the bar soap with both hands with the scrubbing gloves on, and then proceeding to wash the dishes with the scrub gloves. I do this in the shower for my body, so why not do it with the dishes.

Which melt and pour would you recommend for dishes and could alittle baking soda be added to it?

Love this recipe! I noticed you have dishwasher soap pods, and dish wash soap bar video , I wonder do you have any dish wash liquid with essential oils recipe to share? thanks!
For liquid dish soap I do 1/4 cup Castile soap in a 16 ounce spray bottle and add in about 30 drops of citrus essential oils. Top off with water.

What is the best way to prevent that sticky residue you get after you wash your hands after melt and pour? I’m new at making soaps and I’m desperately trying to find a way to lessen that draggy feeling before I sell my soaps! I love your recipes 💕

Would it be possible to use a base of Castile soap with a blend of essential oils for a dish soap?
Yes! I make a liquid soap with Castile and essential oils! Works great in a spray bottle with water!

Does the lemon zest turn brown after awhile?
I have not had that problem!
Botanicals mold in melt and pour. You may not notice it as it is not always visible to the eye. This is toxic.
I got glycerine soap base whether it's natural or safe to use soap for skin

Leave the lemon peels out because they mold in melt and pour. Essential oil is enough.
