So Rad! I love the diesel -- I wish I could get a diesel van in the USA; the fuel economy is so much better. My favorite 4-wheel "cager" accessory is my 2000w "Pure Sine Wave" inverter. It lets me easily charge my Lynx at 10 amps when I drove somewhere remote to ride. I hope you have the best adventures ever in it!!
1. Sliding rack wheel storage. I would put in a sliding track beneath the back bed that will allow you to pull out a storage rack for the wheels. The rack can be locked into the inside or outside position to prevent it from moving. You flip the lever and slide the entire thing out. There could be padding on the bottom (maybe on the top too if you plan on taking the van on the jump track) to keep the wheels from getting damaged from bouncing. There could be smaller compartments between the wheels that store the charger and/or other items. Imagine how nice it would be to slide the entire thing out, take or return the wheel of choice without having to drag the other wheels around. 2. Rear ladder Installing a ladder will make it easier to get onto the roof. Installing it on back keeps it from catching so much wind. 3. Roof rack/platform. Installing a lightweight platform on the roof will allow you more sleeping space for yourself or guests, if needed and also be an epic place to chill and watch the stars on a clear night. That’s one of my favorite things about camping. It would also be an awesome platform for filming. You can find all kinds of tents that would fit the space. You can get those camping mattresses that have foam inside that self inflate. You basically unscrew the valve and the foam expands. When it fully expands, you screw the cap closed to hold in the air. When you are finished, you unscrew the valve, squeeze as you roll it up and all the air is forced out. The entire thing remains compact and they are easy to store. They are also made of a much more durable material than what you typically find in a “home use” air mattress. 4. Small induction cook plate. You can pickup those single burner induction cook plates fairly reasonable and it can be stored inside the cabinet, when not in use. It’s much easier than permanently installing one on the counter and it also allows you to move your cooking space outside, with the use of an extension cord. (Example: the wheel storage rack mentioned above could have a flat surface on the top (even a temporary board or ramp) that allows it to now be an outside work surface) 5. Flexible solar panels If you were planning on installing solar, I would consider the flexible solar panels. You could have them mounted on the roof rack surface. They are super thin and durable and it would still be ok to lay on them for sleeping, since the sun isn’t out at night anyway. The roof rack could also potentially have a way to raise or lower one side to change the angle of the panels when the sun is low in the sky. 6. You could install a small water storage tank on the roof that is made from a black tank or black tubing so that you can use the sun to heat the water and gravity (or small pump) for water pressure for taking a shower. You could have a small rod that pulls straight out with a shower head mounted on the end so that you could shower at the rear of the van. Would also be convenient if you ever needed to spray off a dirty wheel before storage. 7. Starlink I know you can find WiFi all over and that should be fine when you are on a budget but having a stable connection where you don’t have to drive all over and waste fuel trying to find some free WiFi will also cost you so when you get to the point it makes sense, consider a better connection like Starlink. Ok, maybe more suggestions later. 🤓
funny how car ppl are like: "wow u bought a car finally u are grown adult" and in the XVIII century it was like: "wow u bought an ox wagon finally u are a grown man" its just way of transportation dude nothing more... really its beyond me how can people see cars as a hobby (i pitty them a little, get some real hobby lol)
Diesel engines once running are extremly reliable, cost more to fix but go a very long time. A can of ethanol in tool box incase glow plugs fail in cold weather. My opinions. Solar 2x 300w panels onto a 100amp regulator either pwm or mppt is fine, one with a screen to read numbers they are cheap, to a 100ah battery 12v I'm going lithium for now, new salt just hit market but like a day ago so I'm watching them. Anyway up to 4 batteries parallel at 12v. Lead acid are heavey and a pain to top up and I'm sick of them, I still have them to jump start a flat lithium as the won't recharge otherwise, simple leave drained lithium in its solar set up and put car jumper leads from your lead acid for 1 minute solid, And the lithium shall begin charging on its own. A 3000w pure sine wave inverter is connected to your 4 lithium batteries, to change up to a 3 Amp wheel in full sun. I can charge a one point five Amp wheel with a one lithium battery set up, and can leave it charging all day no worries. A master pro at 3amps can pull a one battery system down in 5 minutes to 30 minutes, then rest for 15 minutes and hit it again. A 24v system is going to allow more than 3 x 300w of panels. Space on roof your factor to. A 24 v system might charge a lynx but I have not tried it, get advice there. Roger euc charger can dial down to low amps, he just told me. I loved my time in my van. Wishing you nice success and to be well from Will and Mr Data:):]
Pwm or mppt solar regulators are funny quirky things. I own both, one is redundant on system, sometimes a component don't like the next component but get on better with a different one. So if it plays up I put in a different but it don't mean first is faulty, they just didn't get on. Mppt can put out more power. Pwm can have less issues and run at lower volts ending up putting out more. Funny wheezils.
I'm in the same boat, about to build a small camper out of a van or a box truck. I want to go places but since I'm in Quebec in North America, going on wheel is just insanely long. Ive done 300+ km/ day on multiple occasion and even weekend road trips of 650km (Montreal to Quebec city back and forth) , so it's not like I'm picking up a van out of lazyness 😂. I want a van because I want to ride more, go new places and meet new uni riders 🥺! Going for a faster charging wheel (currently with a Sherman S) will have to wait.
Great! I'm also working on a campervan to travel across Europe with my wheel(s). I was fortunate enough to have the means to get an electric one, and I plan to use zero fossil fuel inside it too.
Don't worry about environmental impact too much, you are not driving this to work every day stalling in traffic and from what I heard producing a car emits about as much as from ownership, so buying a used gas car is about as environmentally friendly as a new electric car. Plus your videos convinced more people to choose an EUC instead of a car, or even just get an EUC in addition to the car but replaced most car trips with EUC trips.
Nice! curious what kind of power setup you'll end up with to be able to charge wheels, the 12v lead acid will struggle to keep up and you might not want to keep the car running thru charges. Also I noticed from a previous video comparing eucs to cars, you failed to think about one benefit of cars which is secure mobile storage which now you have!, and by secure I mean its mostly safe if its goods are out of sight and not parked in a terrible area. In my car I keep a tiny cable lock on the wheel, so if someone did break in and they tried to run off with a wheel they'd get stuck, probably panic and run away, granted if they planned for it they'd have cutters and it would be an ez cut, but doubt they are that prepared and smart to begin with.
Great tax write-off. Diesel is preferable to gas for power, efficiency and maintenance… 10x better than gas. In about 2-3 years, I see you in a 500 mile range Aptera EV with a low profile trailer for wheels. 😊
Salut Adam et bien super tu vas pouvoir parcourir l'Europe pour nous présenter ton camping car et te voir évoluer en gyroroues pour le plaisir de tous 😜😋😁👶🛴🇨🇵🔥
Hi. Please share some details when you pass trough countries. I'm riding in Cluj-Napoca(Romania) if you pass by. and starting July I'll be in Greece riding :D
I actually first saw an EUC in this van life video, so it feels full circle seeing you buy a van lol! ruclips.net/video/mSmghC-vMjg/видео.htmlsi=MDi1UUonEjrZmrFI I thought it looked practical but scary as heck, found your channel through your scooter vs EUC video, and now I ride my 16x everywhere haha. Ladi & Margaret make off road ebikes, are amazing van builders and have a workshop in Czechia. I bet you'd get on!
LOL you bought car, huuuge DIESEL CAR? DO you know how much space it will take? All that poisonous gases it releases each meter during your ride? I told you all the time that there is good reason why people have cars and now you finally see this :D. You are finally grown up man, congratulations!
Don’t worry about pollution from that small diesel, unfortunately is not easy to buy a petrol version of caper vans, even the converted ones. Remember the mission is spread “the wheel virus” 😇 I can’t wait for your future content.
Nice one Adam diesel is the go mate we are long way off electric but this will get you where you need to go rather cheaply as well have a great time will be following your little adventure with your adventure ;)
Awesome, wish u good luck with the tuning, put some solar panels on the roof, extra batteries at the back, monitors inside, ambient lights, charge ports, maybe logo too, yeah van gives more freedom and flexibility.
Epic times ahead !!! OMG !!! It's SO ugly just like it should !! I love it !! I know this is an EUC channel, but if you want to turn it to some sort of Van Life + EUC, I wouldn't mind at all !!! I'd love more content about the van and the conversion (solar panels, StarLink?, etc). I wish you the best of luck with your new home. Remember, the first and only rule for trips like the one you're planning is "GO !!! DO IT !!!" p.s. in case I wasn't clear, I'm extremely jealous of your van.
Epic times ahead indeed! Yes it will be vanlife plus EUC now as this will be my way of traveling :) I will kit it out and I’ll be ready for adventure! Cheers mate!
That looks like an excellent vehicle; very suitable for use as a camper van. I think you made a good purchase. Wishing you many good adventures in the future.

IN A VAN BY THE RIVER!! Can't wait to see all your awesome adventures. Adventure on good sir!!
Let's get it started!
I think you will gain some new insights from the other side of the glass, and this will make you an even better rider.
Adam VanDam 😂
Electric is not environmentally friendly, never mind what they say. So you did alright.
Adam I am glad to see you seem to have recovered from your Masters of Dirt experience. Your van looks ideal!! 😍
He did not recover yet... :P
And it’s also depreciating for me 😂😂😂 congratulations!!! Epic van!!!

Good luck with the annoying car issues/costs but for the rest, congrats😊! What happened to your EUC intro?
I am excited for you Adam. That van has a lot of potential.

I thought you'd be teaming up with wheel companies and Colin Furze to build a 4xEUC powered box.

Hope to see you in Sweden this summer! Happy Easter!
Safe travels. I hope the engine fix is not too expensive or complicated.
Awesome bro! I traded my car a few months back for a camper, now that I'm seeing urs I'll do a video finally as well! 🙏😅 it's a vintage😍

Thanks for the super thanks! Greetings! Hope I can drop by to Sweden this year!
Great! I'm also working on a campervan to travel across Europe with my wheel(s). I was fortunate enough to have the means to get an electric one, and I plan to use zero fossil fuel inside it too.
WOW!!! That’s amazing !!!
Again, you are welcome to visit Serbia. We have few interesting things to show you and nice weather. And we are along the way to Greece anyways soo 😂
You should do a cross coutry trip in the US, too.
thats awesome and i can’t wait to see videos or you traveling around europe! what are you going to name your van? ex40? s23? sherman s max?
Wheee! It’s called Janusz
I've been doing vanlife with my wheel since summer 2022. It's awesome!
Nice! If youre around Montréal, I'd be all ears next time we meet.
remember there are places you can't drive with a diesel without getting a ticket, like inner copenhagen. 😀
Yes sir! Thanks ;)

Pleeeas come to Danmark. Vi have the best infrastructure, for city riding. And MTB tracks everywhere. You can stay in my house.
Thanks for the invite! I wanted to visit Denmark for sure! I have the van to stay at ;)
Awsomt

Your countertop induction stove/grill can be run off one of your old EUCs, just ask Serge for help.
Idk what's worse, wrong way the car owner or wrong way the van lifer. JK JK, looking forward to new videos.

Congrats Adam, the new transport will be functional while aiding your independence. 6 pack Gord
Sooner or later this happen . Car to transport whell . Van or small kombi-van to transport 4-5 goup with wheels to travel . This is best idea .
Yes mate... I'm not a fan of cars but I tour Europe in 4x4 and having my shuttle craft is the way to go
Diesel!!!!🥺
Nice one Adam diesel is the go mate we are long way off electric but this will get you where you need to go rather cheaply as well have a great time will be following your little adventure with your adventure ;)
Czesc, Poznaniak z tej strony :) jakie kolo dla poczatkujacego na jazde po miescie? Mysle nad kongsong 14, na amazon jest za 3800 pln
Well... If it is diesel, maybe it will be louder but at least friendlier than for environment than electric. 😅
Jealous, yr living the dream. I am UK and no longer allowed to roam freely in the sunny EU
There's no way it's a coincidence that you're getting this after spending time with Mike 😁
Awesome, wish u good luck with the tuning, put some solar panels on the roof, extra batteries at the back, monitors inside, ambient lights, charge ports, maybe logo too, yeah van gives more freedom and flexibility.
GUD WEEDYO CAR BAD.
😂
Beautiful adventures await you! If you come to Barcelona, here you have a friend.
Ride safe 🤟❤
Thanks! I will visit Barcelona for sure!
Cant wait for new videos at new places with EUC while you are traveling on that van ;)
Yaaaay! Me too!

put american suspension on that van, like ali G
Car-pilled Adam
It’s wearing off. I start to feel bad 😢
Damn your license plate is judgy! POS😂 but excited to see where your journey takes you! Keep riding homie. Look forward to it
After 3 days in it that’s exactly how I’d sum this car up 😂 if I’m Michael Scott, this car is Toby Flenderson. Let’s see how it goes
Would be nice to see you in CZ at the XeRace on June 1st. 😊
Are u living in a van now? cool way to live 'off the grid'
Can you say the right nr how many times you make fun about cars? Well, oldie vut goldie words says Never say Never 😂😂😂
I feel so bad about the van. It’s horrible after a couple days
the shibby van tour is contagious😂
you'll need a toilet eventually.
one man is already ready for judgement day
I like the van. My main vehicle is a van, as well.
well, who would have thought 😅
Right? 🙈
dislike becase you hate cars
"taking a look at something always leads to things" - Mr Wrong Way, 2024 😆
Fuck you’re right!
Maybe you can drop by to Vienna on your way west. About how long till the powerpads are available?
I will certainly drop by for the tour! We’ll see! We’re in the first stages of development :)
That looks like an excellent vehicle; very suitable for use as a camper van. I think you made a good purchase. Wishing you many good adventures in the future.
Thanks! Let’s see how it goes!
Campervanning with wheels is the way to go! Its Vantastic
You know well about it!
Finaly Adam go to adult phase and realise CAR is freedom!
Ah yes, the most heavily regulated terrestrial transport
in europe? u cannot go with cars almost anywhere
I wish you luck!
Maybe you should cover your license plate in Videos.
I will reregister it so in a couple of weeks it’ll be different and I’ll cover it then
If roof is sturdy enough, you can think about adding a pop up tent to it!
I was thinking about that !!!
Niiice One
😮😮😍🙌🙌🤟
Dude get a portable shower and potty asap😁😁😁
I will !!!
Hypocrite . Only matter of time. Lmao
Only matter of time to get rid of it 😂 it’s starting to feel very bad
Does it have passive balancing or not? 😛
I fucking hate it anyway
your diesel can charge the wheels
how much power can you pull out of a regular alternator?
Omg! When you are coming!?
I don’t know yet!
Don't know what the bio diesel situation is in Europe, but that may alleviate your diesel concern. Also some solar/battery setup to charge your wheels. Bluetti makes a good plug and play setup
Gas money.
Thank you so much!
The most important function in the van, the fart remover ☝🏻🤣🤣🤣
We are excited to see where you get around 😊
Who would have thunk 😅
I fully understand your choice!
Adam modern diesel engines are best and most eco friendly for long travels. Those engines C02 emissions are better than hybrid and for long travels electric cars are just not good.
