A little trivia about John Wesley PTs past supporting backing vocals & at times lead vocals & the same with guitar playing... PT was secretly starting to work on their new album in 2018 which was suppose to include John Wesley and also tour with PT but unfortunately John Wesley who lives in Florida his mother passed away very close to John Wesley wife having their first baby... So then John told PT members sorry he'd have to attend to his personnel family matters and recuse himself from going forward... So Gavin Harrison found and recruited both Randy McStine & Nate Navarro with Randy McStine to John Wesley responsibility's & Nate Navarro to replace Colin Edwin on Bass... Both were very much needed to fill the voids of John Wesley & Colin Edwin when Touring...
Love this so much! They are phenomenal live. I'm sure Anesthetize is in the queue, but don't forget about Hatesong! That live performance is next level!
Love PT and your reaction(s) to it! As tt Snow, how abt "The Last Kingdom?". Won't say it's mandatory viewing for us Arselings but.. Okay I'll say it: it's mandatory 😎 Cheers!
Hi Dashy & Dad I have quite a few Albums of this group and have listened to then alot and i heard you are from my neck of the woods as i am 10 days younger than Elton John born in Garston North Watford 1947 so know it well. Chris Tredwell Birmingham UK
For a deep cut to show Dashy the ‘Floyd like’ early PT look up ‘ Yellow hedgerow Dreamscape’ from the staircase infinities companion disk to ‘Up the downstair’. its on YT somewhere too.
This is a great song but Anesthetize is the best song of this epic concert in Tilburg, my hometown. Yes, I have the Blu-ray. Have a look at the band Retrospective with the song Intoxicated Generation. Their last album is so good; a must for progrock fans. The song Log out is my favorite of that album.
@@DashyAndDadReacts I’ve got a few other great bands for you. IQ. Try the Road of bones album or Frequency or Resistance album. Etc. Haken. Try The Mountain album or Virus album. Etc.
The Pineapple Thief... love their stuff, but every few albums they outdo themselves with an absolute blinder, such as Your Wilderness. It's a great album, but I heard the opening to "In Exile" and thought, "The drummer's changed... hey, I know that drummer!" Another one on your to do list please? There's a good live performance of In Exile on RUclips. Hemel Hempstead... the first thing I think is "That/those bloody roundabout/s!!"
Hi it’s dad here your wilderness is superb while PT were on a long hiatus Gavin Harrison joined Pineapple Thief Then Steven reformed PT with Gavin But no Colin on bass so currently in both bands as well as touring with King Crimson Gavin is one of three drummers on stage he is a top Jazz drummer as well cheers 🙏
@@DashyAndDadReacts Jazz drummer... I think that was how he started out... can't recall his father's name (now don't say Mr Harrison!!) but his Dad was a professional jazz trumpeter (or something similar) wasn't he? Gavin Harrison also spent some time with Renaissance as well ('83 to '84?). You can't see the drummer in this clip ( ruclips.net/video/mi_QCi4rjZM/видео.html ) and to me it sounds very little like him, but I think he's the drummer here. The date looks right (this may only be part of a song but it's unusual enough to "react" to!).
I'm so glad to see you cover Porcupine Tree. They are so talented and hopefully you get to react to Trains in the future. Their studio version of Lazarus may be the best ballad I have ever heard. This DVD from their Chicago show is amazing. Gavin is an incredible drummer. PS House Stark all day long! I loved GOT and House of the Dragon. I'm sure Jon Snow will be epic! 🔥 PPS "Pulled a Pau and dropped my stick." Awesome
The melodic guitar solo performed by John Wesley was originally performed by mikeal akerfeldt from the band opeth on deadwing,he is a close friend of Stevens, you should check them out.
